2 out of 5 eggsSadly, speaker and subwoofer seriously suck at sound and surround

Pros: Easy to set up, includes digital optical and analog RCA inputs, remote is small and simple.

Cons: Having a few issues with the sound that are bad enough to make me look around for a new unit from another company. The sound is occasionally tinny, sometimes lacks clarity (picking up some kind of noise even with optical cables), and sometimes has a weird echo/vibrato effect. It's not great for listening to music or watching music videos, and can be annoying when watching TV/movies and playing video games. The 3D Surround mode and other adjustments don't improve anything, just makes it sound different and either slightly better or slightly worse depending on what you're listening to. Also, the built-in subwoofer is completely underpowered and lacks the ability to give deep, rich bass sounds. It's almost passable for TV and some videos, but really obvious when listening to bass-heavy music or movies.

Other Thoughts: My wife can't stand the issues with the sound output, and while I usually put up with minor issues I'm having a tough time tolerating the sound quality. I think we're outside of the return/warranty window so we'll probably have to pick up a new sound bar or speaker set.

4 out of 5 eggsSecond Soundbar

Pros: Provides a terrific sound improvement for my LG smart TV
Price/benefit is reasonable. Bass response is good. Extremely easy to connect and use. optical connection cable included.

Cons: The sound level is not continuously adjustable. Adjustment resembles a switch effect with numbered settings.

Other Thoughts: I am pleased with the performance. I truly wonder if I would actually appreciated the supposed performance improvement in a $300+ sound bar. It's for TV not high end music listening. Not 5 stars only because I don't know of ANYTHING that is "perfect".

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good for half retail

Pros: I have it mounted on the wall above a 37 inch TV that sits on a dresser - it mounts with standard drywall screws with anchors. It's plenty loud for bedroom TV and music. The bass is strong enough and doesn't distort at higher volumes. The sound did improve after a few hours of listening.

Cons: Wich is had bluetooth but I knew it didn't before I bought it. Just hindsight - if you want to play music from phone or tablet it would be worth it to get a bluetooth capable soundbar.

I programmed my TV remote to operate the volume on the soundbar but it doesn't stay programmed for some reason.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't pay full retail for this since it lacks bluetooth but at half retail price it is a nice soundbar.

1 out of 5 eggsEnergy power bar

Pros: Can't think of one pro..Cheap sounding

Cons: I'm a musician I appreciate and know good sound. This is not it. Not even close. he optical jack doesn't work at all. The RCA jacks worked. Confusing remote control with strange controls

Other Thoughts: Another bad purchase. Cheap sounding compared to a home stereo . Slightly better than Samsung TV speakers.
Now I have to pay 20 bucks to send it back

2 out of 5 eggsGot a Refund

Pros: Better than tv speakers.

Cons: Miserable frequency response. No bass. High end midrange at best. No subwoofer out.

Other Thoughts: Took back to WM shortly after purchase. Had a vizio vbs200 I was replacing. The old vizio smoked it in loudness, clarity and range. Bought a new vizio 38" bar. Haven't looked back. Way better even without the sub. Vizio gives you a sub out. Even better when I added sub. That's the ONLY way to get bass.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Sound and Easy to Use

Pros: I bought a new 42" Panasonic with great picture but poor sound and knew I would need to buy some type of audio for this. I shopped around and chose the Energy Power Bar One over some others in this price range because it was all inclusive - no additional sub and simple remote. I synced the remote to my cable box to control all audio and use the optical input on the Energy Bar. Great sound, nice bass, and tons of output for the size!

Cons: no digital coax input, have to connect with Digital Optical or Analog RCA inputs, which worked fine for me since my cable box has all of these outputs. Optical seems to be the most common these days so this really isn't an issue, just need to make sure your devices don't JUST have digital coax first.
