Cons: Causes my Nook HD+ tablet plugged into it, to act odd while trying to use. the touch responds 1-1.5" to the left of where you touch it. Another user commented strange touchscreen responses and was asked to take a screen shot of that, how? The tech said it was due to unsteady current? really so they said their product was generating unsteady power?

Other Thoughts: The Nook HD+ might want 2.0amp and the ports are 2.4a so this might be an over current issue but I would think the nook would only draw the 2 of 2.4amps.

Pros: Worked great while it lasted. Didn't get a chance to test the USB OTG, however.

Cons: Completely died after a month and a half (Newegg has a 30 day return on it). Shame.

Pros: Charges multiple devices as advertised. Power cord so it doesn't block an adjacent outlet.

Cons: Makes an iPhone or Android touchscreen do wacky things.

Other Thoughts: When we first plugged in my wife's iPhone, we thought a virus had invaded the phone. First the unlock screen seemed unresponsive while connected to the charger, and then once the screen was unlocked, the phone started doing things on it's own, as if an invisible finger was tapping all over the touchscreen. My android phone also misbehaves to some degree, but not as badly as the iPhone. I finally decided that the charger must be electrically noisy, or in some other fashion is affecting the capacitive touchscreens. As long as we leave the screens locked, we're okay.

Other Thoughts: Update to my prior review, since Cathy asked for a "fair" review:

What Cathy says is true, but only if you DON'T plug an iOS device into the USB to Go port. I can charge an external battery or non-iOS device (such as a Droid) through that port, but it cannot charge an iOS device. Apparently, the USB to Go functionality unique to that port doesn't allow it to charge iOS devices.

So it's still not a true 5-port charger in my view, since it cannot charge any 5 devices simultaneously. So, it's a 4-port iOS charger, plus one other "versatile" port that can also charge an non-IOS device. I suppose I can daisy-chain an external backup battery to it, and hook my 5th device to that -- some of my external batteries support charging while being charged, so that's how I will likely get around this limitation when I have 5 devices to charge...

Other Thoughts: Bought this as a "power supply" for a Raspberry Pi+External HD. It's awesome even without the quick-charging and OTG. Add in those features, and its a wonderful thing to have sitting in my living room.

Does USB OTG for those that want/use that (I don't)

Cons: Expected a 5 port charger as described
Only provides 34W over 4 ports, as confirmed on Orico's own web site.
Poorly translated manual written by a non-native English speaker may have lead to some of Newegg's confusion.

Other Thoughts: I ordered so I could charge 2 iPads and 3 iPhones overnight at the same time. Unfortunately, Newegg's description is incorrect -- this is a 4 port charger with a 5th OTG port that doesn't charge. Orico's own web site lists the DCT-5U as a 34W charger, which is the right rating for 2.4A x 2 + 1A x 2 = 6.8A x 5V = 34W

I would not have purchased if I knew it was a 4-port and not a 5-port charger. I would have instead bought the DCAP-5S which is the 5-port 40W charger (without OTG).

Pros: Cool running, charges quickly, charges multiple devices, reasonably priced

Cons: Has issues charging certain Android devices such as ASUS tablets

Other Thoughts: If you have multiple apple device this product should suit you well. Android users should attempt to contact the manufacture and verify it is compatible with the device they intend to use it with. Might save you from having to return it.
