5 out of 5 eggsPowered my car that had been sitting two weeks!

Pros: Well when I got it it I didn't really think it would be able to start my car. I went on vacation for two weeks, got back and the battery was completely dead. I was really just looking for a good usb charger for work, then I stumbled across this thing. I charged it up fully during the day. When I got home from work I plugged it in my car and it voila, started first try. I accidentally shut off my car too fast and had to start it again. Worked again second time like a charm. I just let it charge itself but leaving it running for a good 30 minutes. Now it starts on its own. Definitely gonna come in handy at work or in an emergency as well. Would definitely recommended.

Cons: None honestly that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: It would have been cooler to have an option for the light levels, like maybe just options for on/off, strobe and sos separately instead of having to cycle through them.

5 out of 5 eggsAlready proven itself thrice

Pros: Small, lightweight. On its initial charge, I've already jump-started my Highlander three times. Started immediately each time. Still has 4 out of 5 of its charge lights illuminated. I went ahead and bought another for my other car, and one for my father for upcoming father's day!

Cons: If I understand the directions correctly, it will loose charge over time, even if not used. So, I will have to remember to re-charge it on occassion (which can be accomplished via the car's cig lighter).

Other Thoughts: Highly recommend over carrying bulky jumper cables, which require having another car available that can get close enough to the dead car. This is a much better approach.

1 out of 5 eggsPowerAll PBJS12000R Portable 12000 mAh Dual 5V USB

Pros: Compact size

Cons: Bought it as a compact battery for occasional or emergency jump start of vehicles. Fortunately didn't need it until just recently - it didn't work. I checked it periodically to keep charged and ready for use but it couldn't even turn over the engine on a small 1986 Nissan PU. Tried charging it again but will only retain enough charge to power the built in flash light for maybe 2 minutes. Now it's an expensive paper weight.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a champ on a motorcycle

Pros: Hooked it up to a motorcycle and the cycle cranked over within the first second. Took less than 30 seconds total to hook it up and start the motorcycle and put it away.

Cons: I panicked trying to remove the cables within the 10 second warning of it starting the motorcycle

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Adding the flashlight and jump-start capability sets this rechargeable USB power pack a cut above the rest.

Well Designed:
- Balanced Charger
- High Output Current
- Alternator Feedback Protection
Quality Construcion
Battery Gauge
Good Quality Storage Case
Comprehensive Accessory package
Reasonable Price

Cons: No Short-Circuit or Reverse Polarity Protection
Slightly Annoying Flashlight Control (knit picky

Other Thoughts: I design equipment so I quite often open things up to see if I want to make changes before I even turn them on. I was very impressed with the design and quality of this device. My review is going to sound like a sales pitch but I have no affiliation with the company other than having purchased the item.

The device is well thought out and built with good quality components. It comes in a sturdy carrying case with plenty of USB device adapters, AC charging adapter, cigarette lighter charging adapter, and the jump-start cables.

The battery occupies a little over half of the interior and the electronics are on a circuit board right behind the side panel with the display ( a 5 LED battery gauge) and connectors (2 USB ports, the charging connector, and a covered connector for the jumper cables).

The circuit board and component quality is very good. None of the big blobs of solder, jumper wires, and tacked on components you see in a lot of cheep products. A pretty circuit makes a good first impression but some testing is required for a good evaluation.

Aside from the battery itself, the most important component of power storage device like this is the charging circuit. Lithium ion batteries do not tolerate over charging so anything with lithium ion cells in series needs to have a balanced charger or the battery life will be drastically reduced. This charger does in fact keep the cells equal to the accuracy of my equipment (+-0.001V).

The vehicle jump-start capability is very good. There is no reverse polarity or short-circuit protection so you need to be careful not to short the jumper leads or reverse the connections. It does, however, have a diode in the positive lead wire to prevent a running vehicle from trying to charge the lithium battery. This protects both the battery from improper charging and the vehicle's charging system from damage trying to dump huge currents into the lithium battery.

There are several prominent warnings to remove the device within 10 seconds of starting the vehicle. There is no such urgency if the diode is working but diodes almost always fail as a short-circuit so you wouldn't know if it was bad. The jump-start function would still work fine but with no vehicle charging system protection so it's best to be safe and disconnect right away.

There are switching regulators for the USB ports and for the LED flashlight providing efficient conversion of the battery power to these features.

The device has a single push button which activates the battery gauge and flashlight. Pressing the button turns on the LED gauge for 5-6 seconds. Holding the button for 2 seconds turns on the light which has 4 modes:
Off, On, Blink, Coded Blink.
All the modes make sense except for the Coded Blink which repeats OOO in Morse code. I assume it was supposed to be SOS and there is a minor software bug.

The 2 seconds to activate the light is fine but I find it a bit annoying having to hold the button 2 seconds for every

5 out of 5 eggsfinally a lightweight portable emergency power source.

Pros: this thing is as good as having a full size spare tire keep it charged up and as long as you don't have a issue unrelated to a dead/weak battery you should be good to go, no waiting for roadside assistance (I used to have to take the blame from customers who had to wait a long time due to cold mornings hundreds of dead battery's and only 5-6 drivers to service customers trying to get to work before the sun came up) now you can have a practical way of dealing with dead battery not having to wait for help makes it worth every penny! I don't work in roadside assistance anymore I am retired but have one for the same reason you should get one eliminating the wait for help, I don't know how durable it is for everyday use as I would have tried it for service calls sorry fellow RA drivers if you buy one I can't tell you how long it would last jumping 20+ battery's a day ? but for general emergency use it's worth every penny I have used it twice on our Jeep Cherokee Laredo HO 4.0 and it starts like I just put a new battery in.

Cons: I wish they had these back in the 90's when I was a AAA roadside assistance driver we had to either use long heavy and clumsy cables that connected to a plug on the truck. or a homemade battery box that had a full size car battery in a case to preform jump starts.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks!!! Exactly What I needed

Pros: I've owned this "jump starter" 2 months and have used it successfully three times. The 2nd and 3rd times I used it was on the same day and without a recharge--boom! it worked. Dang Yank likes it!

Cons: I believe it's a little pricey at about $100 (but hey, it works when others I have bought, I returned because they didn't).

Other Thoughts: Follow directions; particularly disconnect cables to battery within 10 or so seconds after vehicle starts.
