Pros: Electricity usage: using my kill-a-watt meter, measures 50 watts on max setting. Compare this to over 1100 watts with my AC on full with compressor on. Relatively large base: it is more stable than a number of other tower fans out there. It still rocks, but your unlikely to knock it over. Remote: a nice feature to have. Allows controlling all functions. Appearance: the relatively neutral coloring should match most environments. Coverage: Relatively large coverage on rotation when placed at an adequate distance.

Cons: IR remote sensor: this sensor has a narrow range in the vertical orientation. Can be an annoyance but does not break the usefulness of the unit.

Other Thoughts: Use this fan in an area where people sit or are lying down. Not good for people standing. Get a pedestal or other fan for that purpose.

Pros: little spot to hang remote

Cons: Air blow is very weak... Even when set to high. Tower is too tall for the small base. Just a mere touch starts it wobbling and looks like it's about to fall over.

Other Thoughts: Do NOT buy this fan! Lasko fans are wonderful; just not this one!

Pros: Reasonably priced. Quiet, compact.

Other Thoughts: We bought two more of these in addition to the two we've had for about a year. No issues.

Pros: It works fine so far. Lasko is a good brand, I expect it to last a long time. Has another older Lasko fan and its been working perfect for over 1 year.

Cons: The fan came in a shabby box that looks like it might have been opened already and taped back together. The fan itself has no physical damage, but there are obvious signs of use. The plastics that usually covers new controls were not all there. Smudges found around the body of the fan, slight sign dust on the interior and the remote has no batteries. I paid for a new fan and expected a new fan. Never expected newegg to send used goods and pass it down as new. Been using the site for about 10 years and the is the first experience i ever had with newegg where i was less than satisfied. If this was not a used unit, it could be a floor model. But it is still not new. I am not very happy about this.

Other Thoughts: Never thought I would see the light of day. Me giving a newegg a less than stellar rating. I hope my furture purchases are not the same.
