5 out of 5 eggsInterested In Energy Saving

This review is from: HitLights 6W A19/ E26, LED Light Bulbs, 40W Replacement, 380 Lumens, Non-Dimmable, UL, 2700K/Warm White

Pros: Replaced my 14-watt fluorescent with this 6-watt LED light. It isn't quite as bright as my fluorescent bulb, but the brightness is still nice for LED lights and the lighting looks nice in my room. Not too bright or too dark. There is no warmup time. It instantly turns on to full brightness. LEDs are the best.

I was going to put down the price as a con, but for a crazy long life expectancy and the small amount of power it uses, I think it's well worth spending some money on these.

Cons: Nothing comes to mind at the moment.

Other Thoughts: I might consider buying more of these sometime in the future. Just imagine converting every light in a big building to LED lights. You could save a lot of money and eventually the money you save will cover what you had spent on these lights.

1 out of 5 eggsVery short life

This review is from: HitLights 6W A19/ E26, LED Light Bulbs, 40W Replacement, 380 Lumens, Non-Dimmable, UL, 2700K/Warm White

Pros: Bulbs are very competitively priced, have solid look and craftsmanship. They are brighter then expected.

Cons: As most reviewers already pointed, they have short life.

Other Thoughts: I bough 7 bulbs altogether. Many reviewers pointed to the short life of the bulbs. After about month and a half one failed. Sure there is a warranty and sure you can claim a replacement, but be aware of the run around the HitLights customer service will give you. I am still trying to get the instructions how to replace it. I gave it only 1 egg, because this bulbs have aimed life of 48 years (?!), and they give up after 1 month. Not acceptable.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Price - Nice Light Bulbs

This review is from: HitLights 6W A19/ E26, LED Light Bulbs, 40W Replacement, 380 Lumens, Non-Dimmable, UL, 2700K/Warm White

Pros: Installed light bulbs in a ceiling fan with four outlets. No humming or noise, instant on and produces nice light which is easy on the eyes.

Cons: I wish I could have bought more than the limit of 5 bulbs at the cheap price.

4 out of 5 eggsGood while they work

This review is from: HitLights 6W A19/ E26, LED Light Bulbs, 40W Replacement, 380 Lumens, Non-Dimmable, UL, 2700K/Warm White

Pros: Instant on, decent light, low price ($3.99), almost no heat (I used them in the kids rooms)

Cons: 1 has died within 1 month with no dimmer and normal nighttime use. 3 of them were together on the same fixture. open air, no heat issues.

Other Thoughts: I hope the 4 others I have last.

3 out of 5 eggsdecent bulb

This review is from: HitLights 6W A19/ E26, LED Light Bulbs, 40W Replacement, 380 Lumens, Non-Dimmable, UL, 2700K/Warm White

Pros: Inexpensive, plenty of light for a '40 W' bulb.

Cons: I bought 5 of these for a dining room fixture that is NOT on a dimmer. 3 of them hum moderately, 2 of them are quieter, though not silent. We usually have enough noise from the kitchen, kids, or conversation that it isn't bothersome. I was expecting a high pitched 'whine' sound, but this to me is a lower 'hum', which is preferable. These are also cooler than I'd expect from a Warm White bulb.

3 out of 5 eggs40W worth light with a high-pitched sound

This review is from: HitLights 6W A19/ E26, LED Light Bulbs, 40W Replacement, 380 Lumens, Non-Dimmable, UL, 2700K/Warm White

Pros: I was expecting a much lower light level based on the comments on other sites but the light is pretty much in the 40W incandescent light range. The color is warm and pleasant.

Cons: There is a faint high-pitched sound when the light is turned on. It gets annoying when you start noticing it in a silent situation.

Other Thoughts: While it is good to have low power LED bulbs, the circuitry to drive this should have been designed to suppress the sound created by the regulator.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, inexpensive bulb

This review is from: HitLights 6W A19/ E26, LED Light Bulbs, 40W Replacement, 380 Lumens, Non-Dimmable, UL, 2700K/Warm White

Pros: This is a very good product for the price. It's surprisingly compact, much smaller than A19 incandescents or other LEDs. The light is a warm white.

Cons: Because the light is all emitted from the top half of the bulb, it appears much brighter than other bulbs when used in a fixture where it points down, but is not ideal for a fixture where it points up, as little light is cast downwards. Also may be just slightly bluer than other 2700K bulbs.

Other Thoughts: Unlike many LEDs, these are not dimmable. I've found most dimmable bulbs to buzz badly when used with any dimmer, including LED dimmers. This obviously doesn't have that problem. No noise at all.
