3 out of 5 eggsThey're good, but for how long...?

This review is from: Klipsch Image S4i - II White In-Ear Headphones

Pros: -GREAT sound quality
-Responsive buttons
-Good microphone performance (Doesn't pick up a ton of extraneous noise)
-Flat cord really *does* keeep them from tangling
-Comes with multiple, very comfortable options of Klipsch silicone ear-tips

Cons: -They stopped working after about 4 weeks...completely. First the microphone, then one ear, then the other.
-The cord, while it doesn't tangle easily, is a little heavy and makes quite a bit of noise *IN EAR* when it juggles around; Nobody but you will be able to hear how loud this cord is because it's connected to the inside of your ear.

Other Thoughts: These were *fantastic* headphones! Really great sound quality. I'm a bit of an audiophile, but not too picky and certainly not a fan-boy of any particular brand. I prefer comfort and functionality with my great sound quality. These provided awesome highs, solid mids, and plenty enough bass to blend it together without overdoing it. They really are some of the best sounding ear buds I've bought, to date.
I bought them specifically to use for long-distance phone calls to my significant other, overseas, on my iPhone 5 (and of course relatively constant music listening). They worked very, very well...for 4-5ish weeks before completely going dead - and I mean *completely* dead. I'd read a lot of reviews before buying, and a few of them warned of this happening, but I decided to take a chance, as many of the reviews didn't indicate any trouble. So the choice is yours. If you like to live on the wild side, take the gamble and try them out. Hopefully they'll last you longer than mine did me, which they very well might. That said, Klipsch has a lifetime warranty for all of their products. However, I've since found a *slightly* more mediocre sounding pair that functions how I need them to, that are cheaper, so I can just replace them if necessary. I hope to be able to return these Klipsch ear buds to the seller if it's not too late. If it is, then I'll exchange them using the warranty. (I've no idea how Klipsch customer service is, but I've read that it's quite satisfactory.)

Side-note: On the cord noise - The sound is literally the moving of the cord translating to scuffing and fumbling sounds in your ears. These are *NOT* meant, nor are they designed, for use during physical activity (I have, and recommend you have or get, a couple of throw-away pairs for that). I wore them around just grocery shopping and noticed the tugging noise quite well enough. The sound can be remedied a good bit by properly using the cord shirt-clip that comes with, and it didn't heavily effect my conversations on the phone, though I certainly knew it was present if I were to talk "on the go" or while walking. The microphone does not pick up on the cord noise at all and actually works rather well, without having to hold it up to your face or anything.
