Pros: Excellent quality case, deep rich sound, multiple size ear cups, quality voice pickup from mic, convenient intuitive iPhone controls, flat cord is tangle resistant

Cons: Cost, possibly too much bass for some, straight cord in lieu of right angle

Other Thoughts: I foolishly lost my Klipsch S4i headphones on a recent business trip and decided to try this new generation R6i as a replacement. I was extreemly pleased with the S4i's and I was worried whether these would meet the bar set by the S4i's. The description on the Klipsch web site indicated that they considered the R6i to be new and improved. I liked the look of them and sought out other reviews. Most reviews were all the same in that they found the R6i's to deliver quality sound but were heavy on the bass.

I concur with those reviews as the sound of the R6i's is deep and rich in bass. I often listen to music with ear buds at a low volume so I find the bass boost to be fine with me. During times I listen at a higher volume, I must say that the bass seems to dominate a little more than I like. I found that I just had to change my iPhone equalizer setting to "treble booster" (I have severe upper frequency hearing loss) and the sound is just outstanding! The EQ setting perfectly offset the R6i's tendency to overdrive the bass.

All other aspects of the set meet or exceed the S4i headphones. I love the case, the flat cord, the mic position, the mic's voice quality, the ability of the ear buds to muffle ambient sound, and the comfort of the fit. I don't think I could be happier with them. I just prefer having a right angle plug in lieu of the straight one that they come with.
