4 out of 5 eggsGood headset!

Pros: Very Loud
easy setup
extra cables for consoles (which I don't use)

Cons: Only real con I have with these is that there are some buzzing noises in it when its idle also when you click anything on your desktop/webpage it makes a faint buzzing noise. Otherwise I would have given 5 eggs.

Only other thing that could make these better would be wireless.

Other Thoughts: Overall for what I paid you really cant beat these I only paid $25.

4 out of 5 eggsKiller bass for cheap (PC)

Pros: If you like bass, get these. They're good for gaming too. Works great on PS3 but I mainly use them on my PC.
Thick strong cord. Long.
So loud. When you want loud music but don't want to upset the neighbors or wake up a child. Can't beat it for the price.

Cons: - Bass can be overwhelming with certain music. But there's a handy equalizer button on the right earphone to cycle through presets.
- On the PC at least, there's background static noise, which is inaudible with enough volume coming through. When your output gets silent you can hear it rather loudly though.
- Not very comfortable after about an hour and a half. I'm a rather large man though, including my head.
- The rubber cushion under the headband is soft, but after a while it tugs on my very short hair and stings.

Other Thoughts: I've bought dozens of different headsets over the years, from expensive to cheap (mostly cheap).

4 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good

Pros: 25 bucks after rebate
Microphone sounds good
Music sounds good

Cons: Had to read previous comments to make it sound good

Other Thoughts: For $25, I say it is hard to beat.
When I first plugged them in, I hated myself for buying this headset. Luckily, some kind internet people let me know how to get them working properly. I plugged the usb and mic in directly into the case, and the white noise was gone. Don't plug the usb adapter in, and don't plug the green 3.5mm in. I'm not one of those people that take super high resolution pictures of my cans and act really pretentious about headphones, so you can take my praise on the quality with a grain of salt, but I think they are great for 25 bucks. I can't speak for the longevity of the materials, or the multi-platform functionality, but after a few hours I am pleased with the purchase. I say give them a shot for a good price.

2 out of 5 eggsThrough USB audio better than many reviews suggest

Pros: Versatile headphone for PC and different game consoles -- comes with the necessary adapters. I won't repeat what most reviews already agree on: Instead, the most interesting feature for me is that it works out of the box in Linux. The Linux kernel recognizes it as a USB 1.1 audio streaming device and loads the USB audio subsystem. The headphone then immediately appears in the audio mixer panel. As a side plus, the switching noise, referred to in other reviews, is much less severe when the headphones are used as USB streaming device. In fact, it appears as if the sound quality is better when it is used in USB mode than in analog mode (even when an external USB power supply is used to reduce switching noise). In this respect, it is probably worth the money when on sale.

Cons: As other reviews mentioned, this headset is extremely sensitive to switching noise, and the fluctuations of the USB power lines cause high levels of noise -- this only when the USB power adapter is used with the analog 3.5mm jacks, though. The user manual recommends a separate power supply, and that helps, too. Two eggs off for a poorly designed analog amplifier stage.

The buttons on the side of the cup are widely useless. Try to find the right button without looking at them! Volume adjustment is slow. The chat and mic volume buttons don't seem to do anything (muting works, though). The LED indicator is useless for the same reason -- have a mirror so you can see the tiny LED on the side of the right cup? One more egg off for poorly designed pushbuttons.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this as an open-box item (oops -- Newegg does not allow reviews for open box items -- sorry 'bout that) -- the box looked untouched or at least carefully resealed. Everything was packed as if it was never opened; all parts were included. I was quite happy about this, although it seems that the price difference between open box and new item is dwindling.

2 out of 5 eggsKlipsch KG-200 Pro

Pros: Cool looking headset. Eat buttons and a plug in mic. USB. On sale.

Cons: The USB came with an adapter for computers. Whoops. These are mainly for console players. Makes a white noise sound when in use. Not sure if that's the adapter or just how the headphones operate. Fits light with small ear cups. If the ear pieces where larger and fit more around the ear then resting on the ear would create better comfort. Not the case with these headphones as they do not displace pressure from the headset.

White noise is not good at all. It is noticeable and it is annoying.

Other Thoughts: If you have a small child or a small head, get these for console gaming. If you want to hear ghosts talk in the white noise, get these for computer.

2 out of 5 eggsGood price but terrible sound

Pros: Comfortable. Handy controls

Cons: Clumsy attachment to PC. Terrible background noise.

Other Thoughts: I thought there must be either something wrong with my USB ports, or something wrong with the headset until I read some of the other reviews. As soon as you plug in the USB connector, it sounds like listening to a radio station that isn't quite tuned in. I tried multiple different USB outlets, and it's the headphones, not the computers. It sounds like I'm far from alone on this. I suppose you could drown out the noise, but I'd rather not go deaf just for a lousy set of headphones.

2 out of 5 eggsThe White Noise is AWESOME

Pros: At high enough volume levels that drown out the white noise, the sound is very nice. Good highs and booming lows.
The pre-set equalizer settings are very cool and are usable.
Construction is good.
They are comfy.
Mike seemed to be very sensitive.

Cons: The white noise is terrible. Plugged into the PC with the adapter provided they are simply not even usable. When I used a separate power supply on another outlet the noise subsided to where these could be used, but their are simply too many other products out there that don't make you think you are playing at the beach. In the surf. With a jet circling your head. With it's afterburner on.

Other Thoughts: Even though I got this headset for a super-low price, I sent mine back - you can probably buy them as an "open-box special."
Good luck with them!
I'm getting something that works like it should.

4 out of 5 eggsIts pretty good i guess for the price i paid.

Pros: It came with plenty adapters which could come in handy if i do ever decide to get a xbone/ps4.
Bought this for 30$ because of shellshock deal
It sounds good now that my background white noise is gone, good bass

Cons: The static noise was really the only con but im really confused now because out of nowhere the background static is completely gone, which im happy about. I dont know how it happened but it did. I also thought the mic didnt work at first but then i realized you had to twist/pop it in for it to function properly.

Other Thoughts: definitely an upgrade from my 5$ earbuds and cheap headset/mic thingy

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: 4 eggs bc they arrived on time, paid a great price and i feel i got my monies worth. Can only give something 5 eggs if it more than meets expectations.

2 out of 5 eggsNot recommended for PC

Pros: Pretty I guess?

Cons: First off I wanted a USB headset for laptop use and the description leads you to believe that is the case - and ultimately it does turn out to work that way but if you want to use the controls on the headset you have to follow the directions which is to use all three cable and have to use the mic and headphone jacks and only get power from the laptop (or as they recommend get yet another plug in USB power connector - which i didn't try). I try this and it is absolutely horrible hissing noises especially with "mic monitor" turned on. And the volume changes significantly if when you toggle "mic monitor"

Then I came here and found where the reviewers stated to just plug the USB in without using the jacks. Once I did that the headset works pretty well and as a USB headset which is what I wanted in the first place. But now I have these other two plugs just dangling (I guess I should tie or wrap them up somehow) and, of course, the controls on the headset such as volume don't work. But at least the headset works.

Initially the headset is pretty uncomfortable as well, but after a bit you can get used to it. I haven't tried wearing them for an extended period yet though so we shall see.

Other Thoughts: I don't know how well this works for consoles but i would not recommend them for a PC.
