5 out of 5 eggsExcellent dual bay dock

Pros: Am using this as a cloning dock. I regularly clone each of my 5 working SATA drives to a same-size SATA backup drive. I have cloned everything from 500 GB to 3 TB drives, and have never had any problem. On all of these drive sizes, cloning speed is about 2.5 hours per TB of data. That means I can easily clone even a nearly-full 3 TB drive overnight. And since it runs free-standing, it will not tie up your computer.

Cons: In several months of use, I have not had a problem of any kind.

Other Thoughts: I do not recommend using this as an external USB 3.0 drive dock for a working hard drive... there are better docks for that purpose, including single-bay docks from Orico. But for easily and quickly CLONING hard drives, this dock is perfect, and it is faster than using disk cloning software.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat device that misses the mark

Pros: Clone function works without computer++
2 additional drive bays++
Quiet and easy to use++

Cons: Transfer rates are no where near advertised. I almost think I can get data off of a CD faster!

Other Thoughts: It's better than nothing but don't buy this thinking you will be getting blinding USB 3.0 speeds. I just don't see it.

1 out of 5 eggsHope it works this time...

Pros: Stylish, handy very capable...

Cons: ... When it works. Unit sometimes works, other times repeatedly disconnects, then reconnects. This with two drive, or one. This is using Windows 7,8, 8.1. Also the same with usb3 & usb2.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works but....

Pros: It is fast, and it makes using multiple different drives with a machine easy. The clone function is nice to have though I doubt I'll use it more than a couple times over the life of the unit. I bought it primarily as an external drive bay and not much more.

Cons: Removing one drive (either one, doesn't matter) will momentarily cut power to the other drive, and the computer will lose connection to it obviously. It reconnects within a few seconds, but this is highly annoying when you have a file operation happening on the other drive and it suddenly loses power because you've forgotten yet again that even though your done with this other drive, you can't touch it until BOTH drives are done doing whatever they were doing.

And why on earth is there a power button on this thing??

Other Thoughts: I only needed an external sata drive bay. This was cheap enough to make me overlook the potential problems, and cheap enough again to warrant me buying a USB3 interface for the computer and installing it (still saved money overall). It is fast, honest. USB3 is nice if you've never used it before. Would be nice if this thing included a USB3 cable. I ended up going to a couple stores trying to find a cable.

Drives don't sit in this thing in an particularly snug or tight fashion, so set it out of the way so it doesn't get bumped.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy

Pros: Very handy little device, I used to have a single bay docking station but this one is so much better. The clone feature is a bonus.

Cons: No cons that I can think of.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: I had a single bay HDD docking station made by another company that I made a bone head move with by plugging in the wrong DC Plug which resulted in breaking the unit, so I needed a replacement.

This thing works so well, and the cloning hard drive feature is just an added bonus to it.

Great price point for this item also.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cloner

Pros: Does a fantastic job of cloning any drive without the use of the computer.

Cons: I have not found any yet. However I can't tell how quickly it works because I did not hear the buzzer when the cloning was completed. I think I might have been out of the room.

Other Thoughts: I have however noticed that if your source HDD is smaller than the destination drive, the resultant copy will have an unallocated partition. This is very easy to correct, just go into Disk Management, click on the allocated partition. When the pop-up menu appears, click on Expand. You then follow the instruction of the expand wizard.

3 out of 5 eggsDoesn't play with Mac

Pros: Great concept, design, build, quality construction.

Cons: Mavericks 10.9.1 recognizes drives inserted, allows hot swaps, but reading and writing corruption errors are abundant. Formatted HFS+ on other Macs, then inserted drives into the 6628US3-C BK, and Mavericks could not work with the files.

Other Thoughts: Unplugged drives from the 6628US3-C BK and inserted into Mac Pro SATA ports and the read/write errors immediately disappeared. Appears to be the controller used on the 6628US3-C BK is incompatible with Mavericks. Works great on Windows 7.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty dope

Pros: Two bays. Holds the drive pretty secure, they don't feel like they are going to fall over or anything. USB 3.0. On button. Clone feature is pretty sweet if it works.

Cons: I tried cloning a drive to a drive of the same size and it wouldn't work. The unit just beeped at me. They were different brands, same size, and both drives are confirmed working. I then put in a slightly larger target drive and the clone worked.

Instruction manual needs better translation, some Chinese to English doesn't come across very well.

Other Thoughts: I am going to use this and update this review in a month or two after putting it through its paces.
