Pros: Looks like it is built fine and the setup is straight forward, but cannot seem to get it to recognize the HDD.

Cons: Tried windows 10 and XP. It will recognize the drive is there. Still looking into this and hoping I can figure this out and raise the rating other than see if Newegg will accept a return.

Pros: It just feels well-built. The connections aren't loose, and the thing has some weight--which is good, in this case. The cardboard portions of the packaging were unexpectedly nice until I threw them into the woodstove; then, they were warm.

Cons: The power adapter sits exactly the wrong way in a power strip, blocking 2 more outlets. The documentation is minimal in quantity, quality, and font size. But you may not even need it.

Other Thoughts: Low-risk investment in a fairly hand device (if you really need such a thing).

Pros: - Easy to use - Just plug it in and insert a hard drive or SSD
- USB 3.0 allows for quick write speeds
- Formatted one hard drive, installed Windows 10 on an SSD, and loaded my music, movies, and Steam library onto HDD.
- Nice visual LED's to tell you that stuff is happening.

Cons: - None as far as I can tell

Other Thoughts: - If you're looking to quickly transfer files from on computer to another via HDD or SSD, you won't regret this purchase.

Pros: - Works well. Used it with EZ Gig IV Cloning software to clone an installed HDD (in a laptop) to a Sandisk Ultra II SSD in the Orico.

Cons: - Some other drive docking stations also act as a USB hub, providing additional USB ports. That would be convenient.

Pros: Works great with a USB 2 cable, connected to a USB 3 socket.

Cons: Doesn't work consistently with a USB 3 cable. I tried three different USB 3 cables, with the same results with failure to recognize the drive and dropped connections.

Other Thoughts: Once I changed to USB 2 cable no dropped connections or failure to recognize the drive. It gives me the speed of a USB 3 dock with the USB 2 cable. After getting a consistent connection and USB e speed I bought a few more - I now own 4 of these.

Pros: Very nice looking small fits HDD's and SSD's super easy plug and go. Just a note I renamed this drive once it is plugged in to (DRIVE LETTER - Z) so in the future I can have my order if I am creating partitions on my 10gbs of new drives!

Fast efficient plug and transfer, small files in kb's will take longer coming off older drives as expected, largers files will meet the older drives max transfer speeds (old 7200 rpm drives not newer ones) This saved 13yrs of research and data from a failing drive TY.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Highly recommended I'm not a big fan of external drives.

Pros: Can save photos and videos from crashed computer, fits both my laptop and pc hard drive sizes, led light, weighted base, nice look, no download needed, durable construction

Cons: If you want to use 2 hard drives on a daily basis, consider buying the other one by Orico with 2 slots

Other Thoughts: I received this item very quickly, and upon unboxing was pleasantly surprised at the design. This is much better looking and safer than trying to connect with a cord! The weighted base is a nice touch so that it does not tip over from the weight and damage your hard drive. This can be used to dock hard drives as external storage or to access a hard drive in a crashed computer like in my story.
It was very easy for me to remove the hard drive from my crashed computer and dock it into this unit. It only took about 2 minutes total! I was able to access my photos and videos from another computer and they transferred very quickly. Obviously you do not want to turn the power off or unplug during data transfer or you risk losing files. This is a rule for all devices that transfer files in any way.
No driver download was needed, I just pulled it out of the box, plugged it in, and it was ready to use! Great product for the price in my opinion. Unless you plan on using multiple hard drives on a daily basis, then you might consider purchasing the other one they sell that has 2 hard drive slots.

Pros: - Plug and Play
- Tested and works with Win XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10 (64bit and 32bit)
- Fast transfer speeds
- Quality build for price
- Orico seems to be active here and has decent website for support
- Full disk clone of 800gb of photos, music, software and a lot of photoshop & illustrator files in 8 minutes!

Cons: None so far, works flawlessly.

Other Thoughts: Reviews suggesting poor speeds:
Transfer speeds vary depending on a variety of factors! What type of files your transferring, the destination drive type and speed, sata type, disk errors or corruption, virus', usb 3 driver on motherboard, O/S and the list goes on.....

To enable faster transfer speeds for Win 10 go to "This Pc" and right click on the drive you want to transfer from and select properties. Then click on "Hardware" and highlight the drive your transferring from and select properties again. Click on the box "Change Settings". Click on "Policies" and check "better performance" and "write caching" and click ok. Then hit Apply.
Now your drive will operate much faster!
***NOTE***
YOU WILL HAVE TO USE THE SAFELY REMOVE HARDWARE OPTION EVERY TIME YOU DISCONNECT THIS DEVICE FROM NOW ON UNTIL YOU CHANGE SETTINGS BACK TO QUICK REMOVAL! UNPLUGGING THE DRIVE WITHOUT SAFELY REMOVING WILL RESULT IN DATA LOSS!
