4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy setup
Great for big 3.5" desktop drives

Cons: Some 2.5" HDD's I acquired did not fit due to some of their cases, which was odd.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Accurate Copying
Relatively quick (< 1 hr for most size drives)
USB 3.0

Cons: The button feels a little cheap

Other Thoughts: Fantastic product that has saved me tons of time on hard drive clones. It even copied a macbook drive that was failing, which no clone software seemed to be able to work with. This dock cloned it no problem, and the disk utility was able to clean up the (already existing on the source drive) fs corruption. Very pleased.

4 out of 5 eggsDyconn Dubbler (DUBDB) vs. Dyconn Dubbler Pro (DUBDBPRO)

Pros: There are two versions of this product:
Model#: DUBDBPRO; Item#: 0VN-0004-00005
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1F824B4930

and

Model#: DUBDB; Item#: 0VN-0004-00002
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA3912D94281

The Dubbler looks good compared to the Vantec NexStar NST-DP100S3 Standalone Hard Drive Duplicators that I have been using. (which by the way, the Nexstar is a good reliable product!)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817392063

Cons: None Apparent

Other Thoughts: 1. Does anyone know What is the difference between your Dubbler Dock and Dubbler Dock Pro?

2. Can either of the the Dubblers clone drives that are formatted with both 512 and 4K sectors? One Newegg reviewer says that the Vantec NexStar NST-DP100S3 can't.

3. Does anyone know how the Dubblers handle bad sectors? And for boot drive cloning do they care what the operating system is or does it just do a sector by sector clone?

4. The Dubbler apparently somes with CloneDrivePlus software to give you the extra option of doing online cloning as opposed to just doing the hardware based offline cloning.

Given all the headaches I have had with finicky software cloning, does anyone know the advantage of this option?

4 out of 5 eggs24/7 Dock

Pros: I've been searching around for a decent dock & I didn't want to pump out the money for a expensive multi bay one. I've been using this non stop since I received it. I plan on only using this as a 24/7 dock so the drive duplicator functionality probably won't get much use. I have a 2TB WD Black 7200 drive in it. I also use this drive for my steam library & file storage. I get 160+ MB/s write & read tested w/ Crystal Disk Mark.

- Functions as a dock
- Aluminum chasis
- Drive duplication
- Speed through USB 3.0 is super fast

Cons: No real cons for me as it functions exactly as I intended it to. I guess the only con is this isn't a super expensive 6 bay dock that costs 800 dollars lol.

5 out of 5 eggsFlawless!

Pros: You get what you pay for. I bought 3 other brands that were advertised as USB 3.0 but either were not recognized by my new computer (Win 8.1 Pro) or only worked in USB 2.0. So I gave this one a try and even though a little on the expensive side works just as it should.

Cons: No Cons. On an ease of use suggestion, the power button should be located on the front rather than the back of the unit.

4 out of 5 eggsDyconn Dubber Dock

Pros: Received from New Egg fairly quick. copies twice as fast as my old Star Tech.

Cons: It's pretty small, but the slots are made for a full size hard drive. When using a smaller solid state drive they face one another and there is nothing to hold them in place. Just don't bump the dubber by accident while in use.
