2 out of 5 eggsWon't stay IN the PCIx slot!

Pros: Allows you to have SuperSpeed USB 3.0 connections.

Cons: Will not stay seated in the PCI-e 1x lane expansion slot, even though it is mounted to the case. It works its way out of the slot, and loses connection to whatever is plugged into it. In my case, two external drives. Very annoying to have to shut down, open the case, reseat, close the case, and restart, just to be able to access data on those external drives. This happens at least once per week. It is a tower, standing upright, and the card is parallel to the floor. If the case were on its side, or if this was a pizza box type case where the card was sitting down in the mobo, might not be a problem.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Get the drivers right and it works.
Tech support is prompt and courteous.
Price.

Cons: Unclear as to which driver to install.

Other Thoughts: Not sure I needed USB 3.0. I bought this along with a Transcend (TS-RDF5K) card reader to read my class 10 SD cards. The card reader ran almost as fast on USB 2 as it did on USB 3. This is likely a limit of my SD cards. The new card reader blew the doors off my old card reader when both were on USB 2.
Not sorry I made the purchase. Good price and now I have USB 3. Next SD cards I buy will probably be faster.

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for only a few minutes..

Pros: None.. It did not work for me at all.. I think I got a bad one.. the reviews seems nice enough, so I ordered this one, but not happy... tried everything but it still windows 7 64 bit would not install properly.. It may be that I got a bad board.. also there were no drivers had to look in website manufacturer. I also didn't forget to plug in the power and tried one at a time, no work,, even with the correct driver from the website.. Shame.

Cons: everything, since it didn't work and I might have got a bad board, who knows? ether that or it would work on a windows 8 system.. but not on my windows7 .

5 out of 5 eggsCheap way to add USB 3.0

Pros: Provides 2 USB 3.0 connectors to your system, and uses 1 pci-express 1.0 slot. Fast transfer speeds, easy to install.

Cons: Requires a molex connector. Drivers must be downloaded from the mfr. website.

Other Thoughts: My system has eSATA, but no USB 3.0, so I bought this to support a new VANTEC NST-380SU3-BK USB3/eSATA hard drive enclosure. At this price, and the price of the enclosure, it would be crazy to pass this up. Was up and running in about 5 minutes.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Works fine, 3.0 speeds. SATA and Molex PSU connections.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have an extra cable that can reach from the PSU. Some DELL users may need to re-configure their HD location so as to have a connection that can reach the card. Make sure not to plug in both PSU connections.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Install

Pros: Works as advertised. I get at least a 50% boost in the read and write numbers from USB 2.0.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: You have to go to the Transend website to download the latest drivers.
