Pros: HD definition (1280 x 720p), h.264 video compression. For the amount of money you are paying, this is a GREAT camera.

Wireless is B/G/N, which is a plus to connect to my router (I had a lot of headaches with my old cameras because they were only B/G).

Cons: Web interface does not work on Google Chrome, performs poorly on Mozilla Firefox.

No optical zoom (but remember that this camera is an entry model for Pan/Tilt models, so... you can't ask much more as this is NOT a PTZ, only PT camera)

Other Thoughts: Camera does take a lot to reboot. THIS IS NOT A PROBLEM - just remember that you won't have access to your camera in milliseconds, but something like 45 ~60 seconds at least.

I'm using a third party APP on iPhone (LiveCams Pro) and Android (tinyCam Pro) and the camera works perfectly. I also use an offsite image storage to pull the live feed and it is working very well.

Setting up the router was quick and easy - no problems to forward the port from the WAN to LAN side.

I'm changing all my TrendNET cameras to FOSCAM.

Having h.264 is a must!

Pros: Liked the description on the website

Cons: Never received the item. I ordered on NewEgg. A day or so later a bogus tracking number was added to my order status. A week later I was cc'd on an email from someone at Foscam indicating they would re-ship the item. I eventually requested a refund and I was told it could be 7 days before I might get the refund. I guess there is no rush now that they have my money!!

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if the mixup was with NewEgg or Foscam, but unfortunately, I think I'm done with both of them.

Pros: Shipped quick.

Cons: Device failed after 24 hours of use. Lights up but will not connect to computer or function in any way.

Other Thoughts: Placed RMA request with company on 10/07/2013. Foscam finally contacted me on 10/18/2013 and asked for my receipt which I provided. It is now 10/31/2013 and they have still not forwarded an RMA. Newegg has since refused to help. Will have to go through credit card company it looks like.

I was going to give them a chance to earn my business and seek an exchange, but after this service I'll be seeking a refund will be going with another company for life. Newegg may have lost my business as well.

Cons: Very buggy

Does not support 64 bit browsers
Support is poor

Other Thoughts: Worst problem is that it crashes the video drivers of many computers when accessing the camera video. Second worst is that without an app there's no way to view the video on an iPad or iPhone. I've read of similar problems with crashing video drivers online, not even any recognition of the problem from Foscam. Also will not email pictures, despite having the same "motion alarm" features as the older cameras.

Foscam lost my order and took extra time to ship. Because of this I overestimated my 30 day return window and now I can't return this. Newegg wouldn't help with the original order when Foscam lost it so I didn't bother calling them for help with the return. Needless to say I will not be buying from third parties through Newegg again.

Bottom line: Do yourself a favor and stay with the 8910 series cameras which are well supported.
