5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: had it over a year at the end of my driveway facing my house, on my lamp post, it's been thru a tuff year here in pa, totally exposed to weather and haven't had any problems, no zoom but very clear day and night.

Cons: no zoom

3 out of 5 eggsOk until the lights go off

Pros: Good Daylight Picture

Cons: Less than unusable low light (night) picture. Power cord permanently attached and not long enough

Other Thoughts: I bought this to replace my Logitech 750e camera (may it rest in peace); the daylight picture is good, but the low light picture is unspeakably bad - and I tried as many setting adjustments as are available; and yes the firmware is the most current available. In addition the transformer power cord is permanently attached and not long enough to reach from the ceiling to the floor of my back porch where it is mounted. I have not tried and have no comment on the cloud software as I use Blue Iris to consolidate my menagerie of camera's.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Great

Pros: With some help from Dlink AR004296 I was able to get my new DCS2330L camera up and running perfectly. I am by no means a techno geek and really appreciate the assistance and user friendliness of the equipment and product

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: Thank you Dlink and newegg

3 out of 5 eggsDlink 233oL

Pros: When it works, it is OK.

Cons: Weak wi-fi signal. Any power glitch and it needs manually resetting (power down for 15-20 seconds, then power back on). No way to view just the video (picture) on computer on home network (can log in as administer using IP address and view, but a lot of trouble). No way to record and save the videos. Not that easy to setup. The way that it mounts (screws) need to be changed so that it will lock in place. If your router does not support 801n expect trouble setting it up.

Other Thoughts: Will try a different brand when I buy another. Does not live up to expectations.

4 out of 5 eggsDCS-2330L

Pros: Very well made, rugged item.

Cons: Setup on web could be a bit easier. Especially for first timers using this type of camera.

Other Thoughts: Haven't had to avail myself of D-Link's support or return/warranty issues.

5 out of 5 eggsD-Link 2330L Camera

Pros: Works Like A Dream after it Automatically updated to Latest Firmware.

Cons: Out of the Box the firmware that came loaded was very buggy.

Other Thoughts: This Review was based on me running Windows 7 Ultimate, I don't no how it will perform with 8 or Linux on setting up This Camera. I Have a DCS-932 Camera and this 2330L Blows it away. I am very happy with my new camera.

4 out of 5 eggsBetter than average, but overpriced.

Pros: -Weather proof
-Good wireless range
-Tested well in three environments

Cons: -Overpriced
-Poor motion detection
-Average resolution (advertised as 720p but simply doesn't perform at that level)

Other Thoughts: After some testing of the cameras stand-alone abilities I paired it with a synology RAID device. I'm very happy with it, but wouldn't spend the high price tag on it again. However, if you truly need an outdoor camera this may be the best you'll find. I'm disappointed in the quality of the picture. But when using Synology to determine motion detection I'm pleased with it and it fulfills it's purpose as an outside security camera well.

5 out of 5 eggsGood imaging, lots of recording options

Pros: Image quality is good, 30 FPS is very smooth, night vision function works well enough since it's on my front porch I don't need to see past 15 ft at night. It's easy to setup with WPS and easy to access via web IP over the network or with the dlink app.

I upgraded from a DCS-932L (which I really like) and this thing beats it in every category- Build quality, image quality, connectivity, recording options, app functions

Cons: A little expensive

Other Thoughts: I'm recording to an external hard drive hooked up via USB 3.0 on the router (DIR-880L).

The issue: I set my "Total cycling recording size" in the recording section to 200GB (=200,000MB), the files overwrite after ONE 50MB recording. I called tech support and they suggested maxing it out and setting the "Total cycling recording size" to 2 TB (=2,000,000MB) even though I only want/need 200GB of recording at any given time.

Well, this DID fix the issue, it's filling up the external hard drive, but now I am concerned because it won't stop at 200GB since the cycle is now at 2 TB. With it limited at 200GB I should have around 4,000 videos @ 50MB each. I have other things on this hard drive that I don't want to be hindered due to excessive recordings. I'm currently getting this resolved with D-Link (case C6525959 if any of you are reading) but I'm confident it'll get resolved and it still doesn't lower my 5 star rating.

5 out of 5 eggsDCS 2330L security camera

Pros: Weather resistant outdoor camera
Picks up my wireless network from 100 yards away
Nice clear picture

Cons: Night vision is fair.

Other Thoughts: Followed the online setup instructions and I had a great picture in ten minutes.
All my computers, Iphone and android phone have no problem logging in and getting a great picture.
Just type in IP address followed by user&password in browser.
