Pros: The hardware is all pretty good for the price. The processor is pretty fast and the 950m is pretty decent. I don't use the touchscreen, but it is worth noting the the quality of the screen is quite good. It is an IPS screen and has crisp images with wide viewing angles. The backlight for the keyboard is also quite nice if you've never used one.

I've since upgraded to Windows 10 and would say that it has some marvelous boot times despite the 5400rpm hard drive.

Cons: There are a few problems I've run into so far. Most prevalent is the keyboard quality. As I've written this review, the space key has gotten stuck at least 2-3 times. This is not due to any debris as I keep this thing quite clean. As far as chiclet keyboards go, it isn't the worst. I can definitely spend a good amount of time typing on it.

Secondly, the audio is just bad. I've try to play around with the settings, I've made sure the drivers were updated, but there was no improvement. The speakers are mounted on the bottom in a strip along the front. There is very little stereo effect. It suffices for doing things that require audio. But If you are a true audiophile/want to use it for playing music, it doesn't make the cut.

Lastly, I've had some issues with the wireless dropping. This happens on a variety of routers. I've updated the drivers but there was no luck there. Not entirely sure what the problem is, but it doesn't happen too frequently.

Other Thoughts: I recommend this, but I would wait for it to go on sale. Also, I'm slightly concerned about the power button. It works and doesn't show signs of stopping, but it doesn't feel quite right. Also, the "sub woofer" they give you is junk.

Pros: Decently fast, at best.
You're not going to play games at 1080p 60 FPS for every game. Most games will play at 1080p 45 fps or 900p 60 fps. Which is a step up from the Xbox.

Cons: Other than the Elantech tracpad, none. I love this computer a a whole (except the slow HDD) it's been really good to me for these past two months.

DO NOT remove the backspace key, you'll never get it back on like it was and it'll slightly stick up at an angle.

Other Thoughts: Only get this laptop if you cannot afford a tower, are a student, or just want a laptop. I was all 3, and this is truly one of the best laptops.
