5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sleek and sexy, extremely lightweight yet sturdy, massive interior volume.
Great airflow though case once fans are upgraded, 10x hard drives remain relatively cool despite constant read/write cycles.
Cables can almost entirely be hidden with some planning (inserting drives into the case plug-first) and zip tie usage.

Cons: Attracts fingerprints.
Stock fans are underwhelming.
Front fans and filters are difficult to access/replace.
Drives vibrate case despite rubber insulators.
Bottom of case has -very- sharp edges. Case took it's blood toll as I was moving it post-installation.

Other Thoughts: If you're having difficulty removing the front panel drive blanks, use a screwdriver through the side on the 'tabs' that hold them in while pushing from behind out the front. They should pop out one side at a time.

Only 7 of the 10 internal 3.5" bays are dedicated, the last 3 share a space with the upper PSU slot.
If you plan on using the upper space for your PSU or a radiator etc you won't be able to utilize them without some modding.

This case is so massive that there was enough room for me to rivet an additional HDD rack adjacent to the 7 bay, this works due to the tool-less front loading of the drives once I removed the bottom thumbscrew. Case now can handle 16 drives. ^^

Also my motherboard doesn't have a 20 pin USB 3.0 connector, just individual 3.0 connectors. Will have to find a solution to this.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Monolith

Pros: -Lots of room. You could fill this with radiators, hard drives, or whatever fills your heart with content.
-Very well made with high quality aluminum. Will outlast most likely every component you mount inside it.
-Lian-Li offers tons of different side panels, top panels, front panel IO panels, drive bay covers, etc for their cases.

Cons: -Stock fans are a bit wimpy
-Slight lack of cable management for a case of this price. Competitors offer much better solutions.
-Size. That lot of room comes at a price. This case is several inches larger in every dimension than my previous 'full tower' case.
-Tiny screws are easy to strip if you have hamfists like me.

Other Thoughts: If you upgrade the cases fans, and don't want to remove a ton of screws once a week to clean out the filters, I recommend you just remove them completely.

I also opted to replace the USB3.0/eSATA front panel connector set for the PW-IO5VB, since my motherboard doesn't have USB3.0, and I never use eSATA.

Looks like the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey when the door's closed. I like that.

4 out of 5 eggsMy dream-case

Pros: - Ultra-sleek, professional design with no gimmicks. Sturdy all-aluminum case - no plastic anywhere!

- The airflow is incredible and the side panel feels like an ice box no matter how much heat is being generated inside. Modding additional fans to increase airflow is not necessary.

Cons: - HDDs caused some vibration within my case. Double check all the screws to make sure they're tight, and the issue will be solved.

- Not necessarily a CON but definitely a hang-up in my case: The Power LED is a three pin socket while my ASUS P55 F.T.W. 200 motherboard uses a two-pin connector. This is a con for my mobo, not the case. I stripped the wires and pressed them into an older two-pin socket.

Other Thoughts: - I knew I was purchasing a mother of a case, but to see it in person literally takes your breath away. It's big. Make sure you have adequate room.

5 out of 5 eggsHuge!

Pros: Huge interior volume. Fits 10 X 3.5 (or 2.5) inch drives. 5 X 5.25 inch bays. Comes with 4 fans for full cold front/warm rear configuration. Uses the new 20 pin USB 3 connector for the front panel USB connections. Includes a 20 Pin USB 3 to standard MOBO USB 2 connection. Micro Hair Brushed Aluminum finish. Love the front door. This is a very nice case if you don't want to do a lot of light effects. Would also be great for a media storage system that just sits there and hums along.

Cons: The supplied cables are not sleeved. I did this myself, but if you don't know how, might be a con for you. The USB 3 to USB 2 adapter is not locked and would be able to slip apart if not taped or zip tied. I purchased a SilverStone USB 3 card for this cable. These are not enough to take an Egg off, but something that a purchaser would need to know.

Other Thoughts: The vibration isolation system is - to me at least - a marketing ploy. There's not enough isolation there do amount to much. It does make for a good mounting system, but vibration isolation - only if it's 3.2 or higher on the Richter Scale.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great case. Surprisingly not heavy and build quality is the best I've handled. It's literally tool-less. I assembled my workstation with no screwdrivers (but it helps to have one lol). ALSO! This case fits SSI EEB motherboards without any modifications! Server friendly!

Cons: When you close the door, the power and HDD status lights are really faint...almost unnoticeable.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case but not tool-free

Pros: Stylish design
Lian-li Quality
Large volume inside

Cons: The cleaning of the front air filter is painful, you have to take off quite a few screws to get to the filter, and same process repeated when put it back.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, HUGE case

Pros: Plenty of space for expansion, I love the "tool-less" design. Feels very sturdy and of great quality. Aesthetically pleasing in feel and look.

Cons: It may be just me, but I had a ridiculous time getting the cd/dvd burner covers off of the case.

Other Thoughts: Highly Recommended

4 out of 5 eggsvery SLICK case

Pros: This lian li case is beautiful. Wife's thought of the case at first sight, very SLICK. Lots of room to work with, very light in weight, and high in quality.

Cons: The front top and bottom edges are very sharp. My toes got slice and bled, my baby craw too close, her toes got slices and bled on the bottom front edge of the case. The back of the motherboard do not have enough room to hide cables behind it.

Other Thoughts: Keep baby, toddler, and children away from the case or tape it or file the front top and bottom edges.

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy with this case.

Pros: Excellent build quality.
Brushed aluminum looks classy and sleek
This case is huge! 2 feet tall!
Plenty of fans and good airflow
Great connectivity under the flap on top. USB 3.0, USB 2.0, audio in/out, and eSata.

Cons: Brushed aluminum attracts fingerprints easily. Have to clean with the grain to completely remove them
Cannot switch the side the door hinge is on (well technically you can, but the Lian Li etching on the bottom will be up on top and upside-down)
Side panels are a little tricky to get back on

Other Thoughts: This is my first Lian Li case, and I am thoroughly satisfied. This case is actually the same case as Newegg Item#: N82E16811112244, but this one has 2 USB 3.0 jacks under the top flap (as well as 2 regular USB 2.0 jacks).

New system:

Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz
Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3P
G.SKILL Sniper Series 16GB
Crucial 128GB SATA III SSD
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6950
Windows 7 Pro 64
