5 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: Very high joules rating for price. 12 outlets and 1875 W output make this roomy in more than one way. The equipment damage guarantee is also quite nice.

Indicator lights for active protection and for properly grounded outlets are a plus.

Cons: Physically large but this is necessary for 12 plugs.

The "cord management" feature is a little plastic snap-fit bar...probably more useful for marketing than for actually trying to route electric power cords through.

Other Thoughts: I couldn't find anything that would match it feature-for-feature in the same price range.

I didn't used to care much about power strips--having lost a motherboard to a lightning strike has brought the point home that this is not where you want to try to go cheap...inexpensive power strips today can prove quite expensive during your next thunderstorm.

5 out of 5 eggsIt does the job well

Pros: I've had this puppy for nearly four years and I have never had a problem with it (even with the wiring in the household in need of an upgrade).

Cons: Could use just a bit more space between plugs, however, the swivel options on the side can be used to get around this problem for most situations.

Other Thoughts: None

4 out of 5 eggsimpressions

Pros: its cheap and has a lot of plugs. it feels a little cheap to be honest but if it works thats all that matters.

Cons: i cant fault the product for an old house.

Other Thoughts: i got this hoping to protect my new computer. funny enough my room isn't grounded so it doesn't really matter. i actually found this out by the ground light on the protector and turns out that 90 percent of my house isn't grounded.

5 out of 5 eggsBest

Pros: I have now bought two of these and was going to buy a third one but the female accountant of my life has said no more till we full fill the other two up...Best protectors yet.. my first one has gone through about 12 storms and quite a few electrical surges and my stuff was protected. indeed this is a worthy component to any nerd's computer or home theater

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: if you see these on sale for $25 get two!

5 out of 5 eggsJust what I needed!

Pros: I run an IT support business and on occasion I perform work in my office. This surge suppressor was exactly what I needed to power customer property.
•The pivoting outlets are perfect for the different power bricks for tablets, netbooks, and random stuff.

•The "Protected" and “Grounded” lights are dim, so I’m not distracted when working.

•The high joule rating will ensure that when I overload the circuit nothing will be damaged by spikes in the current.

Cons: It doesn't manage all wiring in my office, just what is plugged into it. Now I have to neatly hide my networking equipment.

4 out of 5 eggsElectricity flows through it..

Pros: Like I said, the power goes in one end, and comes out the other, just like it's supposed to. Feels solid, the cord is long and heavy.

Cons: Less RFI reduction than the next cheaper model (but higher surge protection).

Other Thoughts: The side outlets pivot to face horizontally, along the side. This will not always let wide transformers use adjacent plugs. It adds some flexibility, but if the plug is polarized, or the body is long, one may get a disappointment.

However, I gave it a fourth egg because... my Kill-a-Watt devices have a VERY limited viewing angle. I used to stick my head under the desk and use a flashlight to read the display; now the device is tilted, and readable from where I sit.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect!

Pros: Power is on!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I keep my 32" TV with a Google TV box, DISH DVR, Computer with a 750W PSU, Router, 24" monitor, and my phone charger on it. Works like a champ! (I would never put a printer on a power strip though, draws way to much power when printing.)

5 out of 5 eggsPlenty of plugs

Pros: Does what its supposed to and comes with coverage in case of actual electrical damage to your devices.

The warranty coverage definitely gives peace of mind

Power cable to the wall outlet has plenty of length

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Bought two, one for my entertainment system that includes a TV, Receiver, DVD Player, HTPC, bunch of chargers for phones and the other in my room used with my Monitor, assorted chargers and my fairly power hungry PC

Not really sure how much it would protect if something seriously went wrong in the power system but I wasn't going to chance risking thousands of dollars worth of hardware on a $5 power strip.

5 out of 5 eggsCould hardly get any better!

Pros: I know, its just a surge protector, but it is totally worth the extra couple bucks! as stated, it has 12 working 3 prong outlets, 8 of which swivel back and forth. for the four in the middle it has a peice of plastic on a hinge with space underneath to route those four no-swivelling cables under! genious! now I don't have to worry about stretching my feet out under my desk when watching videos because i know i won't accidentally unplug anything!

Cons: none to worry about.

Other Thoughts: I would prefer no lights on this because I like it totally dark when I sleep, but what can ya do? not worth deducting an egg, I can always put electrical tape over the lights.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied. Quality product

Pros: 4320 joules of protection is quite a bit and the price is reasonable. The pivoting outlets located on the side are handy if your cabling is tight and you need some angle to make it reach. Grounding light lets you know your outlet is safe to use. I routed my cable through it and my internet speed didn't take a hit whatsoever. The construction is solid and doesn't seem cheap.

I don't have DSL or a landline so I have no need for the phone jack protection but is certainly nice if you need it. Also, the phone jack ports come with a sticker over them so if you currently aren't using them dust doesn't collect inside. That is certainly a nice touch.

Cons: No cons at all to speak of.

Other Thoughts: I haven't actually experienced a surge to verify the protection yet since I just bought it, but it's rated at 4320 joules and Belkin is a trusted name so I'm confident in my system being protected.

You don't need ethernet ports on surge protectors if you route your cable/DSL and modem through the surge protector. As long as all your devices connected by ethernet cables are plugged in through the surge protector first, that is completely unnecessary. Anybody who might list no ethernet ports as a con is mistaken.

I would have liked to purchase a UPS but if you want anything rated at a higher wattage to run something more powerful than an office computer, they get extremely expensive. I settled on this instead and have no regrets.
