PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Protect your home theater investment from damage and performance problems with Tripp Lite's TLP810NET Protect It!™ A/V Surge Suppressor! In one compact, cost-effective unit, the TLP810NET provides comprehensive protection for small to medium A/V installations and all electronics. It features a high 3240-joule surge suppression rating—more joules mean more protection! A total of eight AC outlets with built-in safety covers provide the capacity you need to protect all your components. Single-line tel/Ethernet (RJ45) surge protection, 2-line tel/DSL (RJ11) surge protection and single-line 2.2GHz gold coaxial surge protection protect every incoming line through which a damaging surge could reach your equipment. The TLP810NET comes with $250,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance protection for connected equipment, and a lifetime product warranty.

Versatile Protection for A/V Components and All Electronics

The TLP810NET offers cost-effective surge protection and performance enhancement for A/V components, PCs, peripheral devices and all electronics. It provides eight AC outlets, a 10-ft. cord, enabling connection to a distant wall outlet, and a space-saving right-angle plug that allows furniture to be placed flush against the wall. Two built-in LEDs confirm surge protection present (green) and safe ground status (red). An audible alarm indicates damage to surge suppression components.

Versatile Protection for A/V Components and All Electronics
Feature Focus
Improved Component Performance

Protection on Every Connection

In addition to AC line protection, the TLP810NET includes built-in tel/DSL (RJ11) jacks to prevent surges from damaging your modem/fax/phone equipment on two lines simultaneously (6-ft. telephone cord included), built-in tel/Ethernet (RJ45) jacks to prevent surges from damaging 10BT equipment (6-ft. network cable included), and built-in Type F gold coax jacks prevent surges from damaging your cable/satellite equipment (digital broadband quality accommodates 2.2GHz bandwidth; 6-ft. coax cable included).

Improved Component Performance

Various electromagnetic and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The TLP810NET incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise, preventing it from affecting your equipment.

Powerful AC Line Surge Suppression

The TLP810NET features the highest surge protection rating in its class—3240 joules of surge suppression to prevent even the strongest surges from damaging your valuable electronics. A total of eight AC outlets, arranged to accommodate up to three bulky transformers without blocking remaining outlets, provides protection for multiple components.

Built-In Diagnostic and Alarm Capabilities

Two diagnostic LEDs (GROUNDED & PROTECTED) show power and protection status. If protection circuitry suffers damage, an audible alarm sounds—perfect for installations where the LEDs are not visible. An illuminated master switch provides one-touch power control over all components.

Ultimate Peace of Mind

The TLP810NET comes with a lifetime product warranty plus $250,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance (USA/Canada only) covering connected components against surge damage—for life!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing must buy if you value your electronics.

Pros: Lots of slots spaced wide apart. Heavy duty design. Fairly long cord. Ethernet, Coax, Phone, 8 plug in slots with sliders to close to prevent dirt buildup.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: It has lots of space for both IEC and wall wart plugs. The power cord is long and a heavy gauge.

Cons: The safety tabs over the outlets can be a bit annoying to work around, but not enough to drop an egg.

5 out of 5 eggsIt Just Works

Pros: The build quality is great with this surge suppressor, the reset switch is solid and the sliding outlet covers don't get stuck. The 10' cord is excellent.

The telephone line protector works as intended. A fax machine plugged into this unit has no issues.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The 10' cord is thick.

This unit includes a telephone cable, network cable and coax cable. A nice touch.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Best combination of features for my needs (office copier/fax). Has >3000 joule rating, 150V clamping, RJ-11 and RJ-45 protection. At $41 shipped, it sure beats the $150 Sharp-branded surge protector our copier supplier tried to sell us together with the copier!

Cons: None, for my purposes. I don't need the coax connectors, but I'm not going to ding the product for that.

Other Thoughts: I hope I never have to find out how well it works, but I feel better, especially living in an area with lots of lightning storms. Our supplier is happy too, considering our lease requires the copier to be on surge protection.

4 out of 5 eggsTripp lite Tripp Right!

Pros: Price for this product with the features offered were a great deal in my opinion. I was mainly looking for protection after my old surge protector did not do its job, and wanted to make sure my newly built PC was safe. warranty, wall plug, 10ft cord, and the "I am being protected lights" a plus.

Cons: Only con so far is the Ethernet ports and I did dock an egg for this as it is a major feature of the product for protecting a computer. They are a little too close together and I had to actually shave down one side of a cat 5 cable so they would both fit. Hopefully after feed back they will begin to fix this on future models.

Other Thoughts: Price vs protection I think this is a solid buy and would recommend this to my friends.

5 out of 5 eggsPeace of Mind

Pros: I recently invested in my dream machine, a huge splurge to enjoy my work and gaming with. Like a well-oiled sports car, I want to make sure my rig stays in top shape.

I chose this protection solution because Tripp Lite is a trustworthy name in the industry. The rating of joules protection is pretty much the highest I could find on Newegg, and there is a 250,000 USD insurance policy for any connected hardware.

It comes with plenty of connections, even for ethernet, and it even looks good (I have it mounted on my wall).

Cons: I think two in/out ethernet connection ports would have been nice, since a lot of high end motherboards these days support dual LAN connection, but that's not much of a con to me.

Other Thoughts: If you are going to invest hundreds, or even thousands of dollars into a computer/home entertainment system/etc... do yourself a favor and DO NOT skimp on your surge protection.

5 out of 5 eggsExtremely dependable, FULL protection

Pros: I've had one of these on my computer system since 2001. I've never had any problems with it and its still going strong. It has served extremely well to protect my system from the noisy power where I live. This model is great because of the outlet covers, the coax and of course the ETHERNET protection. Its the best affordable surge protector you can own for something like a home theather or computer system.

Cons: None. Buy it.

Pros: the red light is still.. all sockets still full & runs without power loss.

Cons: none what so ever

Other Thoughts: we have bad storm here from time to time. plus living in a old house doesnt help also. this is helping me protect $1,300.00 of stuff. this is a must but if you dont want lighting or power surge messing up your gear.
