Portable Power Whenever You Need it

The PV375 efficiently converts DC power from a vehicle battery into 120V AC power for any type of equipment, from battery-operated power tools to computers, music players and cell phones. The PV375 provides safe, stable, AC output power to help connected equipment perform at its peak.

Safe for Equipment and Batteries

To prevent damage to the inverter and connected equipment, the PV375 will shut down automatically if an overload is detected at the inverter outlets. Additional overload protection is provided by a replaceable 40-amp automotive fuse. An automatic low-battery shutdown feature prevents excessive battery drain, ensuring that you'll always have sufficient power available to start your vehicle. A dual-function audible alarm alerts you to an overload condition or a low DC input voltage condition (10.5V or less).

Rugged Construction

The PV375 features a lightweight all-metal housing that stands up to harsh environments—ideal for use on the road, at campsites, remote job sites or anywhere that reliable AC power is needed. The housing is constructed with a grooved surface to promote efficient cooling.

Plug-and-Power Convenience

The PV375 draws power from your vehicle's battery via a 3-ft. cord with cigarette lighter-type plug. Two standard 5-15R outlets are provided for supported equipment. Simply plug in the PV375, connect your equipment and you've got clean, quiet AC power! For printers and other equipment that require extra power for start-up, the PV375 can deliver up to 600 watts instantaneously.

Peace of Mind

The PV375 comes with a 1-year product warranty and a rapid-response repair/replacement policy that's unmatched in the industry.

4 out of 5 eggsSuper Noisy Fan

Pros: Super small--I owned an older model that was much bigger for the same power output.
Runs my laptop when I use it in my car just fine.

Cons: Super noisy fan that runs constantly.

Other Thoughts: I suppose when they designed the unit to be smaller they ran into cooling issues--hence the loud constant fan.
Now if I can only manage to hang it OUTSIDE the car, the noise would not be an issue.

Manufacturer Response:

I do apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with your PV375’s fan. In order to cool the internal components, compact power inverters need the fan to run, and it will run constantly. While there is nothing that can be done to turn the fan off, perhaps a small enclosure will help mute the noise. If you need any troubleshooting help, please call our Chicago-based Tech Support team at (773)869-1234.

4 out of 5 eggsWorlds Noisiest Fan

Pros: Works great when used to power lap top.
Very compact, much smaller than converters from 10 years ago.

Cons: World's noisiest fan, and the fan is on all the time.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty decent inverter, but...

Pros: Works nicely, able to sustain 2 laptop chargers.

Cons: Blew the car's fuse after like 1 minute, with only one charger plugged in.

Other Thoughts: 375W is plenty of power, but with just a 15A fuse on the 12v outlet -- the inverter is too much for it.
@Anyone buying this, make sure that you have higher than 20A fuse on your outlet, or else you'd end up like me -- a blown fuse.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Decent build quality. Two 120v outlets

Cons: No USB plug. Loudest inverter I've ever seen (fan noise). 40db over ambient noise in a quiet basement (decibal android app 3 ft from device). Completely unsuitable for use in the passenger section of a car.

Other Thoughts: Don't recommend for any application where people will be in the same room. Too much noise pollution. Won't buy this brand again.

4 out of 5 eggsNice inverter

Pros: Nice inverter, plenty of watts, feels solid

Cons: Slightly noisy fan - noticeable above average road noise

Other Thoughts: If you tuck the unit under a seat it helps reduce the noticeable noise (obviously). If you're watching a video on a laptop or listen to the car stereo you probably wont notice the noise though.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks well!

Pros: Does what it says on the tin. Recently went on a long car trip and it powered both my phone and laptop, tethered over wifi the whole way. Power never dropped and was very consistent.

Cons: Fan is somewhat loud, even over road noise. The unit kept cool though, so I can't really dock it for that.

Other Thoughts: Shortly after buying this one, I saw a 400w unit for fifteen bucks. Oh well.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sturdy - dual outlet. 3' cord.

Cons: Fan runs continously when powered on and is too noisy when installed in the vehicle cab. Even with the diesel engine running it was annoying to the driver when parked. For our application we needed it plugged in and on all the time - which I knew would be a continual annoyance to everyone so I returned it.

Other Thoughts: If the fan came on only when unit heated up or was needed and was a little quieter it would have been perfect. Returned and ordered the Tripp-Lite PV150 which doesn't have a fan.

4 out of 5 eggsVert Good

Pros: Good construction handles the load indicated. However never use more then 300 watt with it. Also you can mount the thing under the hood and run an external connector to the inside like I did.

Anything that will be used to operate over 175 watt should not be connected to the lighter outlet. This thing should be hard wired for max performance. I cut the plug off but not recommended for most people.

It works okay for the average person.

Cons: Noise from fan is a bit more then needed. You can put a different fan it but of course destroys the warranty. I put a low noise fan in that I had sitting around the office. Can hardly hear it and it actually out performs the original in air volume.

Other Thoughts: Company needs to change out the fan with one that is quiet.

2 out of 5 eggsGood While It Worked

Pros: 2 Plugs
External fuse
On/Off switch
Moderate length wire

Cons: Only worked for 3 months before it blew a 30 Amp fuse without ANY load at all. I simply plugged it in and turned it on without anything plugged into it and the car interior lights dimmed and then the fuse blew.

Other Thoughts: Now I have to deal with Tripp Lite Directly for a refund/exchange since I'm outside the 30 day NewEgg return period. Wish me luck in getting a refund/replacement!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Dual socket. Easy Fuse Access. Stay's cool. Supply's enough power for multiple devices no problem. I was able to charge my camcorder and run laptop at the same time. Also power's air mattress pump's no problem. Fan to keep the unit cool. Pretty compact unit.

The fuse in the car blew before the fuse in the unit. lol. I was running a high load "Magic Bullet" food processor unit from this thing for around 1 minute or so and then the fuse in the car blew.

Cons: The fan is a bit loud if you are worried about noise but I mean you're going to be in a car anyway so this isn't really an issue unless you are going for complete silence in your vehicle.

Other Thoughts: Very satisfied with this little device. Provides enough power for multiple devices at once and has easy access to the fuse in case it blows out.

Really good converter for the price. I paid $44.99. You'll see much lower quality ones at best buy with 1/2 the specs as this one for double the price. Go with new egg for the win.
