Protect your valuable home theater components from damage and performance problems with Tripp Lite's HT10DBS Isobar® A/V Surge Suppressor! In one compact, cost-effective unit, the HT10DBS provides comprehensive protection for small to medium A/V installations and all electronics. It features exclusive isolated filter banks and EMI/RFI line noise filtering to eliminate interference and ensure peak audio/video performance. You can see and hear the difference: sharper, crisper video; deeper, fuller audio and longer component life spans. The HT10DBS features a high 3840-joule surge suppression rating—more joules mean more protection. A total of 10 AC outlets with built-in safety covers provide the capacity you need to protect all your components. Three-line gold coaxial surge protection, single-line RJ11 tel/modem surge protection and single-line RJ45 surge protection Ethernet protection safeguard every incoming line through which a damaging surge could reach your equipment. The HT10DBS comes with $500,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance protection for connected equipment, and a lifetime product warranty.

Premium Protection for Home/Business Theater Installations and More

The HT10DBS offers premium surge protection and performance enhancement for A/V components, PCs, peripheral devices and all electronics. It provides a total of 10 AC outlets, arranged to accommodate up to four bulky transformers without blocking remaining outlets. Outlets are color-coded to identify component connections. The Ideal Solution for Small A/V Installations

Exclusive Isobar Technology

Protection on Every Connection

In addition to AC line protection, the HT10DBS includes built-in RJ11 jacks to prevent surges from damaging your modem/fax/phone equipment (6-ft. telephone cord included), built-in RJ45 jacks to prevent surges from damaging 10BT equipment (6-ft. network cable included), and built-in gold, Type F coax jacks prevent surges from damaging your cable/satellite equipment (digital broadband quality accommodates 2.2GHz bandwidth; 6-ft. coax cable included).

Improved Component Performance

Various electrical and radio sources can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. This line noise is a common cause of incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video performance problems. The HT10DBS incorporates exclusive Isobar technology including isolated filter banks to eliminate interference between connected components, plus full EMI/RFI line noise filtering, to ensure peak audio and video performance.

Powerful AC Line Surge Suppression

The HT10DBS features the highest surge protection rating in its class—3840 joules of surge suppression to prevent even the strongest surges from damaging your valuable electronics. A total of 10 AC outlets, arranged to accommodate up to four bulky transformers without blocking remaining outlets, provide protection for multiple components.

Built-In Diagnostic Capabilities

Three diagnostic LEDs alert users to protection, line power and ground status. The green "protected" LED indicates that the surge suppression components are intact and providing complete protection against surges. If this LED does not illuminate, some of the surge suppression components are not functioning, and the unit should be replaced. The red "grounded" LED assures you that the wall outlet is grounded and surge protection can function. The second green "Line OK" LED assures you that the wall outlet is properly wired and no fault condition exits. An illuminated master switch provides one-touch power control over all components.

Ultimate Peace of Mind

The HT10DBS comes with a lifetime product warranty plus $500,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance (USA/Canada only) covering connected components against surge damage—for life.

5 out of 5 eggsA very solid product for the price!

Pros: bunch of outlets (10), solid build casing will outlast anything you dish at it, long cord and lifetime warranty

Cons: Does not support gigabit ethernet but not a deal breaker.

Other Thoughts: I seems to handle my Panasonic TC-P55VT50 plasma, Elite SC-79 receiver, Pioneer Blu Ray player, dish receiver and an Onkyo CS-N755 with ease.

4 out of 5 eggs2nd Review after 2 yrs of ownership

Pros: 10 outlets, plenty of connectivity i.e; Ethernet, coax, ph. line, wall mount, rack mount or stash behind your cabinet, super long power cord, lifetime warranty with equipment protection.

Cons: Unable to accommodate multiple power units.

Other Thoughts: I had originally rated this unit with 5*. After ownership of 2 years, it gets a 4* and here's why........

It handled my plasma, 135w (2ch) AVR, two small subs, BR player and some accessories with ease.

When I added an external power amp, the unit produced an annoying hum. By arranging the location of the plugs, having the AVR and amp plugs at opposite ends of the unit, the hum was reduced significantly but not eliminated.

Once I added a 2nd amp, there was no way to avoid the loud humming coming from the unit.

Solution, added the CMX-6 by Emotiva. Now my AVR and both amps are plugged into one unit with zero line noise.

I still use the HT10DBS because it's an awesome unit and offers great coverage for your gear, so this combined with the CMX-6, I have one happy set up.

For the record, the AVR is rated at 135w per ch with 2 channels driven, the amps are rated at 200wpc/3ch amp and 300wpc/2ch amp.

Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 eggsMoney Well Spent

Pros: You know when you pick it up for the first time that this thing is built to last. I call it the brick...plenty of three prong sockets, long power cord, can wall mount. Hands down the best surge suppressor I've ever owned. Trust in the brick!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsWorth every penny (to me)

Pros: Ok, so it's heavy and has a high energy suppression rating, and this is great. More important to me is the EMI/RFI filtering and electrical isolation. I plugged in the plasma TV, the stereo receiver, a blue ray player, HD cable box and DVR, and a htpc. I'm a little surprised, but I can tell a slight difference in the TV picture, more in the music, and now my powerline ethernet adapter works - from <18Mbps to >120Mbps.

Cons: Only the price. I'm still a little shocked that I bought it, but happy I did.

Other Thoughts: If you suffer from terrible line noise, like from a plasma TV, this thing is great.

Without a good stereo setup, Bose included, you may not be able to tell a difference in sound.

I thought that I had wasted $100 on the powerline adapters.

5 out of 5 eggsI never knew something works this well

Pros: -Right from the start, I noticed a decrease in noise from all that is hooked up to this bad boy (computer, fan, vacuum)
-I hooked my cable and internet up also, and for once the cable came in clear, not much change in internet tho :P
-I like the design, and it really isn't as big as other suppressors of it's price range

Cons: -the on/off switch (as said in other reviews) is a little too close to the first plug... but as was said by some other review, a couple of pieces of tape fixed that right up

Other Thoughts: -This thing, for the price on Newegg, is so worth it. As you can see from all the good reviews, I would miss out on this product

5 out of 5 eggsGreat addition to your H.T.

Pros: Plenty of 3 prong sockets, ph. line in/out put, Ethernet in/out put, 3 line coaxial in/out put. Personalized sockets. Rack or wall mountable. Long power cord. Angled wall plug.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have this unit and have read where both audio and video are improved. I really didn't expect any improvement in either area. I bought this unit for the convenience of having everything plugged into one unit and being able to turn the power off to my system if I'm away for awhile. Low and behold, this unit actually cleaned up the picture on my 50" Plasma. I have plugged into this unit; two sub woofers, blu-ray player, Plasma TV, A/V receiver and two cooling fans and I still have a few sockets left over. Love this power bar.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the Money

Pros: If you live rurally or anywhere power outages or storms happen a lot, then this is a good choice. It works as advertised. Lots of room and color coding.

Cons: Maybe that the power button is a little too close to the one outlet. It's easy to switch it off on accident while unplugging (or by cat). Just something to be aware of. A little piece of tape solves that.

Other Thoughts: I have more than one and both have worked well for a couple of years now.

5 out of 5 eggsAudiophiles listen up

Pros: Immediate sound quality difference.
Multiple sockets with spacing inbetween to fit big adapters that usually hog 1 and a half sockets.
3 Coaxial filters
RJ 45 filters, modem filters

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Having this Isobar in my room makes a difference. Audio is amazingly crisp. Music has real presence. My speakers don't make noises from cellphone interference either, you know that det-deteted noise you hear when a cellphone is nearby. Even my vacuum cleaner sounds different. I have an external USB disk which is quieter now. It also improved the line quality of my internet cable running from the wall. I have wanted one of these for a long time as I am into energy systems and electronics.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Peace of Mind

Pros: Long cord reaches either side of my wall, compact plug allowing for the entertainment center to press against the wall, excellent spacing for transfromers and other plugs, great protection rating for peace of mind.

Cons: None that i can think of. Size is large, but hey, it's an isolation transformer!

Other Thoughts: You buy a nice toy, or maybe two and you really want to protect them...especially with a device that all be it, expensive, but a lifetime warranty that also guarantees its service...you can't beat this Isolation bar. In retail stores, it sells for over $120...newegg is on it...like always! If you spend the money on a nice TV or a PC, do yourself a favor and get the peace of mind that comes with this isobar.
