108dB Signal-to-Noise Ratio Playback

GIGABYTE motherboards feature higher capability audio solutions with 108dB Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR) playback quality to deliver high-performance, multi-channel HD audio. SNR is a comparison of the amount of signal to the amount of noise - such as hiss - present in the signal (expressed in Decibels). A higher SNR equals a better audio experience. For example, 108dB, is a high audio specification, as this means the audio signal is 108dB higher than the level of the noise.

3 out of 5 eggsREV 3 has caused me a lot of trouble

Pros: It was a good board with my phenom ii 965 and a hd7870...

Cons: I bought it to eventually to move into FX series... well I bought a fx8350 and a hd7970 to go with it a couple weeks ago and its been a nightmare for me. Now I am finding all this bad stuff about the REV 3 board. I have massive cpu clock/ voltage throttle under any kind of load. I have re applied paste, evo 212 cool. Turns out to be VRM heatsink is bad and needs a fan placed on it.... no thanks, no ghetto rig please lol. setting up RMA today and asking for rev 4.

Other Thoughts: it was good with old phenom setup so if that's what you have then should be ok. Try to buy none rev 3 haha

4 out of 5 eggs50/50 but great

Pros: incredible and easy to use bios menu and great indication were componants need to be inserted and looks and handles great under load witha Fx 8350 overclocked to 4.8ghz and nice/great cooler of chipset

Cons: wile overclocking pc restarts immediately after power on my guess is to set the new clock speeds something that i do not like but seems normal hope there is a future bios update soon but other than that product is great for a low budget setup

Other Thoughts: nothing else could keep me from recommending this product

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Nice looking board visually.

Cons: From the beginning I had a hard time with this MB. Going from Intel to AMD was not fun. I had to reinstall windows so I could install a driver just for AMD. The computer sometimes would stay on for just a moment (just to the Windows loading screen and the power would cut. Sometimes it would allow me to get into the computer to try to diagnose what was going on, but really couldn't because the power kept cutting out (seemingly) randomly. Sometimes I'd be able to be in for 20-30 minutes at a time the it just shuts down. Don't know what to do as I bought this 28 days ago, had to wait to afford other parts.

4 out of 5 eggsMatt D.

Pros: It looks good on paper.

Cons: A significant draw back and i thought it was the motherboard till i happened across a piece of information on Tom's hardware, along with finding out that the newest game card i own runs fine on it, which happens to be PCIe 2.0. the card i ordered, 3.0

this chipset, proof can be found here:
http://www.amd.com/en-us/products/chipsets/9-series#

is not compatible with PCIe 3.0. this board contains this chipset and therefore only compatible with 2.0. I've got other cards to use, but this was a big let down. now i need to find another card that's 2.0 and has the same processing power.

Other Thoughts: AMD, get your chipset up to par with PCIe 3.0 x16.

5 out of 5 eggsSimple and Solid

Pros: Nice look
Tons of usb 2.0 ports
Preinstalled amd stock cooler mounts

Cons: The BIOS is not great
Only 2 usb 3.0 port
The second pci-e x1 alot is covered if you put a graphics card in the top pci-e 2.0 slot

Other Thoughts: This is my first build I have ever done and my experience so far has been great. In the 2 months of usage, except for a few gripes I have had no problems with this board. My first annoyance is the BIOS which has bad mouse support and the fact that it took me a couple weeks to realize that you have to use the plus and minus buttons to control clock speeds(though it might be that i'm just dumb). Second is specific to my computer case which is the NZXT H440, where some of the sata ports get in the way of my hard drive bay; it's a simple to remove the drive bay itself but i just find it annoying.

Also a side note: this thing has 8 usb 2.0 but only 2 usb 3.0 which is problem for some people but i personally don't have a problem with it.

System specs:
Fx-6300
NZXT H440
Stock Cpu cooler
8Gb G.skill 1600 RAM
XFX R9 280
TP-link wireless adapter
Rosewill Firewire adapter
1TB WD blue
Corsair cx600m psu

3 out of 5 eggs50/50 chance of working

Pros: good specs on paper.

Cons: Put it into a new build. Didn't fire up.
swapped out RAM, nothing.
Swapped out Video card for a 10 year old quadro (3450), fired right up.

put new video card into 10 year old computer. worked fine.

Other Thoughts: Is this thing compatible with PNY Geforce GTX 750 ti OC cards? both brand new, and work separately, but together, nothing. what gives?

contacting both manufacturers to see what they say.

5 out of 5 eggsworks good

Pros: I got a revision 4 board for a hassle free install of a fx9590

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: very solid MB, seems heavier than others. No problem recognizing the 9590@4.7 Whats not to like for a buck 16

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding price/quality

Pros: Fantastic visually appealing jet black design
Fit all components without issue
Worked without any problems

Cons: No onboard video, but I iknew that when I ordered it
The SATA ports face out rather than up which makes it a bit awkward to plug in the SATA drives.

Other Thoughts: The usual price/quality I expect from GIGABYTE. I've had so many other popular name brand boards S h i t the bed on me even when they are practically brand new. GIGABYTE has continuously delivered outstanding quality at a reasonable price for over 7 years. I will continue to use their products.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: Worked first time and has been absolutely stable. That's why I picked it, and that's what I got.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: I'm not overclocking, and the CPU is mild performance wise. So if it wasn't "absolutely stable", I would be screaming.

CPU: AMD FX-6300
2X - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB
ARCTIC Alpine 64 Pro Rev. 2 CPU Cooler
