5 out of 5 eggsAmazing, even today.

Pros: Stable and reliable. Low power use. (120W Idle 200W Load, 300W Playing Crysis on max.)
Even with a very "behind-the-days" CPU, this was the best setup ever. Even as a side server setup, I will recommend this board for an simple NAS, Game box, File server, Webserver. For being 5 years old, this board Still kicks face. THIS BOARD WILL NOT LET YOU DOWN.

Cons: North Bridge gets ridiculously hot.
Few USB Ports.

Other Thoughts: I bought this board in May of 2010, getting off 939 Athlon x2 4200+ WOW What an upgrade. I even bought and used a GTX560 and this board still kicked face, with only 4GBs DDR800 and a Q9505. I am sad the board had died today, I feel like I lost my pet dog here.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS is awesome!

Pros: No problems whatsoever

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Had this for almost a year now. I bricked my p5n-e SLI mobo when upgrading the BIOS. :/ Purchased this since I didn't have the budget to upgrade everything. Used my core2duo e6600, 4GB ddr2 800, two 8800gts in SLI (PCI-e slots are close together, but GPU temps remain in a normal range). Works perfect!
Never had a single problem with any ASUS mobo, EVER!

5 out of 5 eggswonderfully amazing!

Pros: runs amazingly smooth and because it can support more than 1 core and graphics card, im set for a very long time with it! Very nice and was very easy to put in and connect everything.

Cons: No cons what so ever with this product, it has been tossed around due to transporting it from my moms to my dads and back to my moms, and still works perfect!

Other Thoughts: the people who are complaining about this excellent motherboard is probably due to their system refusing to work with it. It depends on what youre trying to make it work with like your processor(or cores if you prefer). Just because you meet most of the specs, doesnt mean it will work 100%. So dont complain all ways go over your PC specs BEFORE you buy a motherboard,RAM,core or graphics card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Gaming Rig

Pros: Great Price/Performance Ratio, Solid Company

Cons: Putting a 10.5" card in the second PCI Express x16 slot limits you to two SATA ports

Other Thoughts: I have two GTX 260's in my P5N-D, and just wanted to correct what someone else wrote about the SATA ports. If you want to put a 10.5" or larger card in the second PCI Express x16 slot, you can still use two of the SATA ports by using right-angle (elbow) flat SATA cables. I don't know whether you can make the newer round cables fit.

Before putting a card in the second PCI Express x16 slot, put one elbow cable in SATA port 4. Then put the second elbow cable in port 1, and let its cable lay straight and flat on top of the connector in port 4. Both cables should be flat and straight, the port 1 cable running over the empty ports 2 and 3 and then running right on top of the other cable.

Go ahead and install your GPU, making sure the cables stay flat as you push the card in.

It might be possible to fit more than two elbow cables, but I did not want to force or tweak anything.

And my work here is done.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Overclocker

Pros: Installation was easy. Comes with a fan for your north bridge which is a breeze to install. Out of the box, came with latest BIOS. Overclocked e6600 to 3.3 Ghz by only upping the multiplier to 9x and FSB.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsvery good board

Pros: still working great after 16 months with not one problem. the ASUS overclocking program in the BIOS works great for me though I have read online that 80% of others with this board can't get it to work. you can pick anywhere from 5% up for overclocking, I use the 20% setting in the bios and my cpu is now 3.66ghz and is very stable with Intel burn test and never goes over 45 degrees Celcius.

Cons: cannot SLI large graphics cards such as my GTX 295 that was in it, and can't SLI GTX 580 either as thats what I have in it now. if you try to put a 2nd large graphics card in the lower PCIE slot it won't go in due to the sata jacks. and 90 degree sata cables won't work on the board for graphics card clearance so if you want SLI the only cards that will work are GTS 450 cards and smaller. not worth taking an egg away as SLI is not all that anyway. for some reason the preset overclock of 5% in the bios won't let computer reboot but 10% on up will! Strange yes??

5 out of 5 eggsBoard Works Fine!

Pros: This was the first time I ever put in a new motherboard and it went in just fine I have the antec 900 case so I had lots of room.
I don’t know how much people overclock to make the board run as hot as some are saying but I have no issues with the board running too "hot"
Also Boots up twice as fast as my old EVGA 680i LT

Cons: Shipping only because the shipper guy forgot to make a commercial Invoice (shipping no on #1) I called and they got it to me a day later than it should have arrived so over all not bad.....

Other Thoughts: I wanted to extend the life of my pc another 2 years so I bought a core2 quad and this board for about 400 bucks and every thing is running great! I had a core2 before and games like Blackopps were lagging to the point where I couldn’t play even with EVGA GTX480 superclocked video card now I run Blackopps at full setting with out a hitch!

5 out of 5 eggsexceelent

Pros: Excellent stable board reasonably cold temps with chipset fan installed. oc e6750 from 2.66 to 3.07 and stable now for over a month. running pny gts 250, couldn't be happer atm. Only downfall is 4 sata ports i personally needed more. Built in raid is running twin 640gb WD black series hdd's.

Cons: only 4 sata ports no onboard vid

Other Thoughts: Great board perfect for those new to overclocking

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible.. Keeps ICE COLD

Pros: Has a great look very sturdy.. Paired this up with a GTS 450 Cyclone couldnt ask for more.. Im using a e6550 core 2 duo.. Managed to get the clock up to 2.83.. OC was simple.. Also the chipset fan thing was confusing.. I ended up not installing it but it still runs cool.. Love the bios settings.. cant wait to run RAID! Im using the HAF 912 Chassis if that helps anyone..

Cons: Doesn't make me food

Other Thoughts: On a side note in the bios it gives you an option to overclock without having to enter the FSB speeds Voltages ect. manualy... This is a great feature for people who are new to overclocking.. But it only allows you to overclock up to 25%.. So If you are looking to get a higher clock i wouldnt recommend it for experts..
