5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!

Pros: Amazing look, Supreme FX is absolutely fantastic! Error code system. cool LED system running all over the board. at least enough fan power supply connectors for 5 fans. Three GPU Ports.

Cons: None that I can see or think of.

Other Thoughts: i had an Intel i7 processor with a different socket type, so i had to buy a new i5. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE RIGHT SOCKET TYPE FOR YOUR PROCESSORS. (ITS LGA 1150 BTW).

Pros: Great, works out of the box.. My first PC build in years lol..

I did a lot of research what MB to get & wan whit this one..

I have Intel Core i7-4790K & it overclocks it automatic to 4.5-6..

Cons: Would be cool to have more fan connectors on the board..
Also would like to see a Factory seals on MD in the Future.

5 out of 5 eggsbEST EVER

Pros: Nothing I can say about this thing. I have had it over a week now and it just rules. I can overclock it with the software and I can do extreme o.c. without anything blowing up. But it also has a easy feature that will help people who have never done overclocking do it with ease. The board is rock solid I love the fact that everything is easy to get to and the manual that comes with it is very detailed. If you are looking for a very strong mainboard this would be top of the list.

Cons: Wish it came in different colors HA

2 out of 5 eggsGreat MB - HORRIBLE customer service

Pros: The motherboard itself is great, when it's working. The hardware and software features, the look, the layout, the setup, etc. The majority of the software included is decent. The included items are useful and fun. When it's working it works fine.

Cons: Mine died exactly 31 days after my order. 1 day too many to deal with NewEgg for a replacement so I had to call Asus. I have never, ever had such a run-around from a company in my life. Worst. Customer service. Ever. I've spent 4 days trying to prove that my brand new motherboard was within the 3 year warranty period. Now that I finally jump through those hurdles (did I mention I had registered the product on the Asus registration site the day I got it?) I receive an email telling me they're happy to confirm my product is under warranty and to contact them if I continue to have any problems... Have I gotten an RMA? No. Have they helped me in any way? No.

IM STILL HAVING PROBLEMS! I NEED AN RMA! What I don't need is an email telling me my brand new motherboard is under warranty. I've wasted the better part of a week (almost a quarter of my total ownership time of this motherboard) with a broken motherboard and an inoperable computer.

As someone who's main computer is nearly all Asus products, who has 2 Asus laptops, an Asus router, an Asus monitor, an Asus tablet, etc. (I actually surprised myself at how many Asus products I have) I truly must say that after this experience I'm going to have a hard time ever buying another Asus product again. I simply cannot believe how much of a pain in the behind this has been. You'd think support would see when the item was registered and simply issue an RMA after their normal troubleshooting proved the product was defective. How hard can that be?

So word of warning if you purchase this motherboard. Buy an extended warranty so you don't have to deal with Asus support.

Motherboard specific: The Game First software conflicts with WAY too many other programs to be usable. (e.g. Nvidia GeForce Experience won't even start with GF running) The DPC latency issues with the included Asus network drivers make audio stutter annoying, especially after any torrent activity. Prepare to either reboot afterwards or you can download original Intel NIC drivers.

Other Thoughts: If my motherboard hadn't failed 31 days after buying it and if Asus support wasn't so amazingly horrible I'd likely be raving about how great this motherboard is. However with my current experience I simply cannot recommend any Asus product including this one. If you decide to get it however, be warned of what you may need to deal with.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear KDB,

I am sorry to hear about the issues you ran into with the board and the RMA process. I will be happy to assist you with your current RMA if you would like. When contacting me, so that I may look into your case further, please provide me with any case number you may have been provided. Please include your reference number provided here as well within the subject line. In addition, please provide me with what troubleshooting steps you had tried, as well as the rest of the systems hardware configuration. Thank you!Cs#N140923028

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great Customer Service from Newegg
Fast Shipping
Great Features
Easy-to-Use Bios Updater
Most Driver Updates are quick and simple/effective
Great Hardware for the price!

Cons: Audio Driver tends to hang for a while without much notification. Can cause minor issues/inconvenience if computer reset

Other Thoughts: I initially had a defective piece of hardware, most likely this Mobo, but also possibly the cpu. New computer would crash consistently under a moderate amount of stress. No physical damage anywhere, and I ruled out every other piece of hardware. Newegg was very helpful in replacing both pieces and completely solving my issue, as I had no way to test either core piece. Mobo and computer in general now run like a beast!

5 out of 5 eggsSAVIOR!

Pros: This board has saved my life. If it wasn't for the door knob hanger that came with this motherboard, the person who robbed me would have came straight in. Luckily for me, he saw it before breaking down more door, with the words "DO NOT ENTER - CHAMPION IN ACTION". He immediately felt my MLG gaming skills and ran out of my house.

Seriously, a beautiful board. I'd marry it if I was a CPU...
No flaws

Cons: It's red not white

Other Thoughts: Buy it!

Pros: Another great product from Asus. Well-designed BIOS, overclocks like a champ, amazing looking in almost any system. What can I say?

Cons: A little on the pricey side.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: Great looks, great layout, M.2, Red Lights for the Chipset cover and line that seperates the sound portion of the board from the rest. Power button and reset button are both well lit as well.

Cons: New board with an older BIOS version. My brand new board had the BIOs that was released just before the Devils Canyon CPU's were released. But after a few attempted boots, my system started. I updated my BIOS and the system ran so much faster. Was just kind of annoying that the BIOS was that out of date. Also ran into getting the CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT BSOD in windows 8.1. Come to find out after updating all drivers and BIOS that the AI Suite was creating the crash point. So I downloaded the updated version of the AI Suite and will install it tonight.

Other Thoughts: For the issues, I don't think it was worth reducing it by an Egg. I deal with building systems all the time and this is just second nature. If you buy this board be prepared to update drivers and the BIOS.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable ROG

Pros: 1) Stable and runs everything the way it should be
2) Very easily overclockable on many levels rather it be manual or have the auto step program do it for you
3) Board comes with a lot of software, some of it good, some of it not, but the keybot program is awesome
4) I have never had any trouble with ASUS ROG boards, and this one was no exception.

Cons: 1) Battery placement is kind of bad because it is covered up by the 1st GFX card slot. They moved the battery from the Z87 to make room for the M.2 drive on the Z97. Not a big deal but is kind of inconvenient if the battery needs to be replaced.

Other Thoughts: For a $200 board, this thing better work well and it does. The fact that Z97 is good now and should support Broadwell late this year/early next year, is even more of a reason to buy this board if you are thinking about upgrading.
