5 out of 5 eggsWow...

Pros: This thing is fast! Upgraded from a Sapphire Vapor-X 5870 and loving it! Running 3 24" Asus monitors at 5760x1080. Runs BF3 on high at that resolution at 45-50 FPS. Pretty quiet too, and doesn't run too hot.

Cons: Coil whine. Although I did get rid of it by running FurMark on it for about 2 hours. Still a bit pricey.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat potential

Pros: -Amazing Value
-Overclocks like a beast with low temps. I'm running at 1200/1800 and never go over 70'c

Cons: -this card will most definitely give you a headache or two. These cards are known for having issues, you will take you a fair amount of time and research to get this thing stable even at stock setting.
-Coil whine

Other Thoughts: -Great card if have the time to invest into getting it working properly. Nvidia is great in that their cards are super easy to setup and generally have zero issues but you can get the performance of an overclocked 680gtx for $150 less and with 1 GB more memory.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Coil Whine

Pros: Overclocks well, Keeps cool temps, comes with a ton of cables for all different peripheries.

Cons: The coil whine on this card is beyond obnoxious. I had this card for about 6 weeks and thought I could live with the coil whine. It doesn't matter if you cap the frames at 60 or not. Even Skyrim has loud whining. The menu in Crysis 2 is piercingly loud. If you listen closely you can even hear it whining when you drag windows around on the desktop. I eventually decided to RMA it through Sapphire. After several emails and faxes I got an RMA number and had to provide shipping and packaging as well as a tracking number for the card... Seems like if I buy a defective card I shouldn't have to pay to get a replacement that works... Anyway, today I received my replacement card after 3 weeks of not having a working home computer, and it is making the exact same noise... I am beyond disappointed in Sapphire and will not be buying from them in the future.

Other Thoughts: This is a well known problem. Google it. Do not waste your money on Sapphire. There are many other companies out there making the same card with none of these headaches.

Sapphire- if you are reading this and can remedy my predicament please let me know. I will gladly update this review.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Card! Terrible Video Adapters!

Pros: Card is great. Runs cool and it's fast. Runs everything maxed out. Love the card.

Cons: The Video adapters suck. I run eyefinity and since this card doesn't have two DVI connections I used the DVI to MDP adapter and it died after two weeks. Then i used the HDMI to MDP adapter and it died after two weeks. Then I pulled out my old active VGA to DP adapter and used the supplied DP to MDP adapter and that died after 2 weeks! Great periphrials Sapphire. Quality stuff. LOL NOT!

Other Thoughts: Make sure you support the card somehow. It will sag alot in your case. No backplate to strengthen it. I used a suggestion i read on here to use a zip tie and support the end of the card by zip tieing the end of the card to something to hold it up. Did this from day one so the card wouldn't warp.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome card!

Pros: Upgraded from 2x 5770 Sapphires in xfire and am totally blown away by the performance of this card! Playing every game at max settings without the slightest hiccup. Will be buying another in the near future if the price goes down to put in my "old" system that now has the 5770 cards in it.

Cons: Card was a hassle to situate and secure to my pci expansion slot on my case, had to put pressure on the case and card to get everything to secure. Card could have been spruced up a little more for the price paid, but it's a monster, so no eggs off.

Other Thoughts: This is my 4th Sapphire manufactured card (first being some old agp radeon, then my 2 5770s) and I have never had any manufacturer defects or driver problems. I put my trust in their products and haven't been let down yet. Won't be going back to nvidia as long as price to performance stays like this!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for gaming and unbeatable for GPU Compute as a consumer GPU under $500

Pros: - 1x Active MiniDisplay Port to DVI adapter ($30 value) -- this is required to drive 3 screens (1920x1080P) in Eyefinity out of the box
- Using Cats 12.8, HD7000 series gains support for DX11.1, which introduces Target Independent Rasterization (TIR). This is supposed to accelerate 2D graphics desktop speed in Windows 8
- My card had an ASIC of 71%, with a stock voltage of 1.174V
- Overclocks on stock voltage to 1150mhz, VRM temperatures in HWInfo64 never exceed 100*C
- At 1150mhz @ 1.174V, the GPU temperature hovers between 71-76*C with fan speeds varying from 51-63%, respectively. At these levels it is still very quiet for a high-end GPU.
- I am able to overclock the memory to 1800mhz on stock memory voltage of 1.6V (default), 1830 at 1.65V
- OCed 1.15ghz = 680Mhash/sec in Bitcoin Mining (using GUIMiner with flags -w 256 -f1), at current rate ~ 9.4 BTC per month
- No BSOD, coil whine, or driver issues / coming out of sleep problems to report

Cons: - Has been replaced with superior Sapphire Vapor-X that gets vapor chamber cooler and 8 Black Diamond Chokes from the $700 TOXIC. That means this card is not too expensive vs. the Sapphire TOXIC
- The card takes up 2.5 slots as the cooling shroud slightly protrudes beyond 2 slots, not ideal for those going with Cross-Fire
- Length: 270mm for the PCB, ~286mm with the plastic fan shroud (11.26"), may not it in smaller cases
- At 1150mhz @ 1.174V, this card will consume about 40-50W of more power than a GTX680 @ 1280-1290mhz.

Other Thoughts: - Performance in Guild Wars 2 beta is currently lacking
- At 1150/1800 memory, this trades blows with a 1280-1290mhz GPU Boosted GTX680 with MSAA+Max in many games and actually wins in Crysis 1/Warhead, Anno 2070, Bulletstorm, Batman Arkham City w/ 8xMSAA, Serious Sam 3, Witcher 2, Crysis 2, SKYRIM with 8xMSAA+ENB Mods, Dirt 3 with latest Catalyst 12.8 drivers
- NV cards have the new TXAA anti-aliasing feature but I checked it out in the Secret World on a friend's 680 and it blurs the textures too much for my liking.
- To me the GPU Compute advantage is well worth the extra power consumption, especially since this card makes $$$ bitcoin mining when not gaming, but GTX670 OC Kepler is still more efficient for gaming alone, albeit slower overall
- Computerbase has HD7970 @ 1050mhz only 6% slower at 2560x1600 4AA than GTX660Ti SLI setup. That's a big plus for those buying a GPU for high resolution gaming.
- I still think MSI TwinFrozr III 7950 @ 1100-1200mhz is a better value overal

5 out of 5 eggsI'm gonna be set for a long time. (Single card, non-Crossfire review.)

Pros: -1x monitor idles at 30c, doesn't ever pass 72c on load
-Mine is clocked at 1177/1548, far above even the factory stock OC of 1000/1450 (I seem to have less headroom for mem but the core gains provide well enough improvement for me)
-BF3 1080p Ultra 60+ fps pretty much all the time, no matter the intensity of the environment (provided you have a decent enough CPU, I use an i7 920 oc'ed to 3.6ghz)
- Even BF3 Eyefinity 5760x1080p is MUCH slower, yet FULLY playable on max settings, tested on 64player Caspian - I get 25-45 FPS (slow, but for reference, Hollywood films play at 24fps). Dipping to High makes it smoother, while still looking and playing fantastically.
- Fan is inaudible at 50, at 100 its noticeable, but still quiet enough to sound tucked into the background and not annoy.
-I haven't found ANYTHING that brings this card to its knees.Crysis2 HDtexP+DX11+MAXsettings = 52-60fps 90% of the time,when it DOES dip, its never below 40.
- High 3GB mem a MUST for Skyrim/Eyefinity!

Cons: - Multi-monitor makes the card run HOT (+15c at idle on stock OC), and the heat difference in my room is noticeable. My room goes from being cool at 1 monitor to being slightly uncomfortable at 2 or 3 monitors. I have to rectify this with box fans to keep me cool - although it IS the summer, might be less of an issue in the fall and winter. IT GETS WORSE THOUGH... My card is currently running at 53c (I'm only writing this review). It appears that when idle on 1x display, the card undervolts itself to save power, however, on 2-3 monitors, the card will stay fixed at whatever you've set your voltage to (in my case, 1.17). FORTUNATELY THOUGH: Despite the high idle temperature, the card doesn't seem to want to pass 78c after prolonged 5760x1080 99% load.

This con can be somewhat smoothed.. Monitor switching=hotkey assignable, no need to have all 3 on at once (cept4 hyper multi-taskers) For ex, mine:
AltShiftF1=Center mon only.
ASF2=Extended
ASF3=Eyefin
ASF4=L only
ASF5=L+C

Other Thoughts: REVIEW IN BASIC ENGLISH:If you're looking to play ANY PC game with all the eye-candy options turned AS HIGH AS THEY CAN GO.. on top of that, in HIGH-DEF 1080p, while STILL running SILKY SMOOTH.. THIS is the card for you.I sound like a salesman but its the TRUTH. Stays virtually QUIET and won't generate much heat (room is kinda uncomf with 3 monitors on though, see cons). Playing Eyefinity? This is STILL the card you want to get, though you'll have to turn your settings down if you wish to play with silky smooth 60FPS performance. Lower FPS doesn't always mean BAD though, Hollywood films play at 24fps.

Switched to ATI/AMD due to better support for 3x-monitor workstation+gaming,as well as the extra gig of RAM over the other cards I was considering. Skyrim/w Ultra+STEP+ENB consumes 2.6GBVRAM on a mere 1920x1080 res.Think about that if considering a 2GB card.

i7 920 oc 3.6ghz
EVGA X58 3x SLI mobo
12 gigs DDR3 running 1386 9-9-9-24
This card@1177/1548 1.17v
12.7 beta driver sin

5 out of 5 eggssick graphics card

Pros: very fast graphics card. runs almost every game at max settings (except for some games' anti-aliasing, but that doesn't show much of a difference). im maxed out on just cause 2, ac revelations, skyrim, batman ac

Cons: none, but seeing how quickly technology is developing, im afraid this might be obsolete in the very near future

Other Thoughts: i read that others have rma-ed, but mine has been working exceptionally for 6 months straight

5 out of 5 eggsWICKED

Pros: EVERYTHING A REFERENCE DESIGN IS SUPPOSED TO BE BUT IT OVERCLOCKS RIGHT UP TO 1300 / 6800 ON A SLIGHT VOLT INCREASE ( .25 ) WHAT I HAVE FOUND IS THAT SAPPHIRE HAD CHERRY PICKED THE BEST GPU FOR THE OC VERSION OF THE CARDS BEFORE GHZ WAS A CONSIDERATION

Cons: A CON FOR ME WOULD HAVING TO RMA THIS AS I HAVE HEARD THAT SAPPHIRE BLOWS WHEN IT COMES TO RMA ANYTHING AS IT GOES TO SOME INDEPENDANT LAB

Other Thoughts: I GOT ME 2 OF THESE FOR WATERCOOLING AND DONT REGRET IT AT ALL BOTH OVERCLOCKED TO 1280/6800 IN THE TRIXX AND IT IS RIPPING EVERYTHING UP, FRAME RATE IS CRASY LIKE 175 FPS AT A MAJORITY OF THE TIME ALONG WITH THE SWIFTECH KOMODO, TEMPS DROPED 28 C AND, COULDNT BE MORE SATISFIED RIGHT ON AMD HD 7970 HAND PICKED GPU FOR THE OC VERSION BEFOR THE GHZ WAS EVEN CONSIDDERED
