4 out of 5 eggsVery happy so far

Pros: Very fast graphics on games & drawing programs.

Cons: Board-only package - no instructions, drivers CD, etc. We found everything on the ASUS site, but at least a page with the URL would have been nice.

Other Thoughts: We bought this slick-looking card has a large center-mounted fan to build my daughter a game machine for Xmas. It didn't come with instructions or drivers, but we installed it in an ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 AM3 motherboard w/ Athalon CPU. We installed the recommended drivers (downloaded from ASUS), and the system came right up. We loaded several Graphics intensive games which won't play on her laptop, and they screamed right along. No hangs or glitches, perfect play. We didn't use the turbo/overclock features, and no special drivers - I'm not even sure if the crossfire feature is enabled. It works so well we don't want to mess with it.

Later on she tried loading up some paint programs she uses, and reported that these work better too - large brushes which gave the laptop problems work smoothly, and she can resize & pan with no noticeable lag. It seems this system does everything graphics-related very well.

5 out of 5 eggsworks on a 350w PSU

Pros: i purchased this video card to play Star Craft 2,
a fairly GPU intensive game during large battles.

i am pleased with the card's overall performance,
especially the increase in FPS over my old card.

Cons: none. i got what i wanted.

Other Thoughts: i gutted my recently purchased PC,
so the little 350 watt power supply,
could handle this low wattage card.

-Phenom X4 9750 2.4GHz CPU + custom fan
-Biostar ta790gxe Micro ATX Motherboard
-3GB PC2-5300 / DDR2-667 Memory
-WD2500JB 250GB 7200 RPM IDE Ultra ATA100
-ASUS EAH5670 / Radeon HD 5670
(NO other hard/CD/DVD/floppy drives or PCI cards)

used newegg's 'Recommended Power Supply Calculator'
and the above PC setup was just shy of 350 Watts.

cross my fingers... it is working great so far :)

5 out of 5 eggsgood card, great price

Pros: I can play all of my games on max settings, Napoleon total war, crysis, fallout, batman... whatever I throw at it, it chews it up and spits out smooth grpahics and frame rates. Also overclocks well.

Cons: puts off some heat when playing Napoleon Total War, you need to adjust the fan setting to kick on different speeds at different temps, and when the fan kicks on high, it is LOUD, sounds like a jet turbine.

Other Thoughts: At the time I bought it , this card was a great deal.

5 out of 5 eggsDang Good Card

Pros: Only draws 75w peak power!!! Boss overclocking console.
Asus also provides a program to use this card as a video capture surveilance system!!
Drivers for video playback are what you would find on a high quality TV set. I had old Laserdisc masters that i made. They were done on a lower quality LD machine. It left some video degradation. The Crystal Clear setting really cleaned up the video!! Worked on old grainy DVD animes as well, not as strongly, but definitely cleaned them up as well.
Gaming was limited to Turok PC and King Kong. Turok was laggy at stock settings at 1200 and 8x antialiasing.
With a little overclocking and 4x antialiasing the game ran great at 1600 x 1200.
My old x1950xt blew up my PSU when I was playing Turok!!! Guess not enough juice, and forgot to turn up fan!! The overclocking software is really idiot proof!! I set the warning at 54 degrees, and sure enough the game minimized and the warning was there!

Cons: None really!!! Got it on midnight snag for 54 dollas!! Schwing!! It's low profile but fan still blocks one of my ports on a micro atx board. No biggie really.
I was reading about pci-e 3.0, it will be out in maybe a year or so. That will really make cards faster!!! So this is good stopgap for me and the equipment i have.
Have read it cant really output 3 displays only two, but I really don't care about that.

Other Thoughts: Install with drivers that you download from ASUS!! The install disc provided offers no choice of installed options, just runs itself and fails!!! Proper Microsoft net for your install. Vid first, install it to temp and direct the install wizard to find it. There is also a High definition Audio Driver I believe in that first install. Look for HD, and direct install wiz there. Then install the other two Video Capture and Overclocking utilities. Did not conflict with my 650 Tv wonder card! Nother plus. Oh then i ran the install disc again and it installed Cat Con Center. Lots of things to install.
Am dying to see if it really increases my encoding speeds
for h264. I use really high settings in the Motion Estimation(umh) and Sub me(9 RD on all).
I read somewhere that this card is the highest over clockable card. Games smoothed out at 850 and around 4300.
Thanks ATI and ASUS!! Won't miss my PSU frying x1950xt!!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card!

Pros: Excellent card for the price. Runs all the games I play on high/maximum settings. Fan is usually very quiet. Very quick and easy installation.

Cons: Doesn't overclock well. Gives me random blank screens and lines when I run games while OC'ing.

2 out of 5 eggsLOUD!

Pros: Fast card. Good Win 7 scores. Low heat/power -- no external power connection required.

Cons: LOUD! Default fan speed is set really high and stays there until Windows driver kicks in. Even then, the fan is noisier than the unit on my GT 240 card on another computer, and Linux probably requires a special utility (I didn't try). The fans really should be set to run slower/quieter by default.

Other Thoughts: I would return this fan and take the 15% hit if I could.

5 out of 5 eggsI am filled with surprise!!!

Pros: Two things I'm amazed at with this purchase:

1) How quickly it got here. Ordered Tuesday, arrived Thursday morning, from CA to IL. NEWEGG ROCKS. Always has, always will.

2) This card is awesome. I had an EVGA 8800 SST, a MONSTER CARD.....this new one is half the size and waaayyyy more capable! BF2, COD2, Crysis and more are all running at max, and the only thing I have seen is a teeny-tiny lag in Crysis, but that could also be attributable to my CPU.

Fan is quiet, 80mm, and the "dust-proof" design seems like a long-overdue great idea.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Inexpensive card that more than gets the job done, while at the same time keeping a low-power footprint.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat choice

Pros: low power draw
small form factor
single slot sized
quiet fan
stays cool (31C idle, 41C load test)
6.9 Win7 graphic rating

Cons: none, thinking hard about another one for my main PC

Other Thoughts: Bought for wife/family PC build and it great. Strongly considering swapping my aging 8800 in my gaming rig for this or a 5770 just to see my temps reduce by half.

I am uncertain about the PCIe2.1 vs PCIe2.0 issue for my older machine so might settle for a different brand that stays 2.0 compliant just in case. ASUS could clarify in their specs if this works fine on a 2.0 motherboard.
