The GeForce GTX 670 combines high performance with exceptional power efficiency. GPU Boost dynamically boosts clock speed for extra performance. New anti-aliasing modes eliminate jaggies without sacrificing framerate. And NIVIDIA Sound lets you game on three monitors from a single card. The GeForce GTX 670 GPU is not the end of story. ASUS exclusive DirectCU II thermal solution achieves 20% Cooler and Vastly Quieter than reference. DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology ensures stable overclocking while GPU Tweak offers real time and intuitive tuning and overclocking.

  • newegg Direct cooling for 20% cooler than reference Thick copper heatpipes are accurately positioned in direct contact with the GPU surface so heat is transported and dissipated efficiently to the heatsink - achieving a 20% cooler performance than reference. Since heat is carried away faster, fans can spin at a lower speed thus resulting in quieter performance than reference.
  • newegg DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology Acclaimed DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology delivers precise digital power and enhanced durability for stable overclocking. Plus, the new and exclusive Super Alloy Power technology on ASUS graphics cards uses a special alloy formula which is highly-magnetic, heat-resistant and anti-corrosive. It delivers a more stable and quieter operation compared to the reference design – a welcome bonus sought after by performance seekers.
  • newegg GPU Tweak Overclocking is made real-time and intuitive with ASUS GPU Tweak utility. It not only allows you to optimize clock speeds, voltage and fan speeds on up to four graphics cards independently or simultaneously, you can also select between GPU Tweak’s Standard or Advanced modes depending on your level of experience. For gamers out there, GPU Tweak enables instantaneous in-game video recording up to 720p resolution so you can share clips with the community easily.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

1 out of 5 eggsDont buy it!

Pros: It beautiful when it works.

Cons: How can a card this expensive end up dying on me within a few months of usage. The sad part is, I barely use the system & it never gets pushed to it limits. How can Asus put their name on this. This video card is not the quality I expect from Asus. I strongly recommend not purchasing it.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money.

Pros: Looks cool
Quiet
Fast when working

Cons: not high overclocker

Garbage drivers (Keep crashing)

Other Thoughts: This is my 3rd one, the first two did not last over three weeks, and the one i got on 6/11/13 did not last for 24 hours in my PC, When i say that i mean it. it came to my door at 10:30 AM and was put in my pc at around 8ish it is 7:20 Pm now and it is dead as of 6/12/13. I probably NEVER BUY FROM ASUS AGAIN. So take it from me and DON'T Buy this. i just wish i listened to the bad reviews. Now i have to return the one that died tonight and the one that died 3 weeks ago. This is not a way to treat customers that pay $400.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: When you can get it to work for the 3-4 days that it actually will, the games look great and it can handle anything.

Cons: I got my first 670 about 9 months or so ago and I'm now on my 5th card.

-My first card ran amazingly for about a month before crashing randomly while playing Dark Souls. RMA.

-My second card I received was dead out of the box. RMA.

-My third card I received was just my second card returned to me because I forgot the $.25 User Manual. re-RMA.

-My forth card, again, ran great for about 2 weeks before completely crashing and burning while playing Witcher 2. RMA.
This is the point where I started going crazy. I had to make SURE it was nothing in my computer so I ended up spending $850 on a new mobo, CPU, PSU, CPU cooler, and hard drives before my next card arrived.

I'm now on my fifth card and it won't run with drivers installed. I can run my computer with the drivers uninstalled and I can run fine in safe mode. But as soon as I install the driver, (display driver or any of the other secondary drivers) weather it's the WHQL, Beta, or any legacy driver, it crashes at the end of the Windows startup screen. Every single time.

I'm becoming incredibly discouraged about Asus and Geforce in general. I pretty much wasted $420, plus $850 on new components, and another $90 in shipping, and almost an entire year later I have nothing to show for it. I've gotten a total of about a month and a half's worth of use out of this card.

Everyone is basically is refusing me a refund or even credit, even though I think it's pretty fair that I deserve one at this point seeing as how they refused to hold up their responsibilities as a company by giving me a working product.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this card if you have any respect for your money or integrity as a PC builder.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't buy this card

Pros: Great Stats

Cons: Horrible driver issues and not well supported by many games that are/have been out over the past year.

Other Thoughts: In order for my games to run and not crash, I've had to underclock my card from the default settings. I've never underclocked anything before in my life (don't gamers spend most of their time overclocking things?). I tried to contact ASUS multiple times and they kept saying the problem was with the game because it "worked fine in windows". To this day Nvidia and ASUS don't recognize there is a problem with the card and there is a lot of finger pointing and no one is stepping up. In hind sight, I'll stay with AMD/ATI for future cards because I've had better luck with them (even if they do have lower stats). 1 year with the card and I am starting to see some light warping in the display in games. I keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't die on my like other people who have commented here.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat...while it worked

Pros: Great card could handle anything while it was working

Cons: First problems came while I was playing skyrim. Game froze computer restarted. Tried turning skyrim back on to see if problems still lingered...Same thing happened again. Tried to re-install drivers/updating drivers, seemed like the problem stopped, but got worse as long as the computer kept running. Videos/movies being played would start freezing up while I moved the mouse. Playing games were impossible, every game I turned it would freeze and lag constantly. Shutting down the computer became a hassle, screen would freeze and shutdown would never occur. Had to force shutdown by holding power button which is ridiculous. Switched back to my 560ti problems stopped and everything works perfectly.
Highly disappointed in the a card, spent $419 dollars on a defective product and have to return it to pay $16 shipping for the return... I expected more "quality" from the first Asus product I bought, very disappointing.

1 out of 5 eggsJust..Don't

Pros: Pros - It's a great card.. When it works. Owned since August 2012.

Cons: Cons - So many.
1) Video Display Drivers Crashed. So.. so many times. There are ways around this via a regedit. But at $400+ should this be necessary?
2) Constant Freezing and locking up on the last NVIDIA driver updates. Yes, I know this is a driver problem. Last updates by Asus were in October 2012.

Other Thoughts: This is probably the largest amount of money I've spent for one single component. I'll never do it again. ASUS support is non-existant, so don't expect help there.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Lycanthe,

I apologize for your experience with your GTX 670 graphics card. You are welcome to use the latest drivers from Nvidia (314.07, dated 2/18/2013) if they perform better for you. If you still have problems, please contact me at cl-jeremy@asus.com. Your card has a 3 year warranty with us at ASUS that you are welcome to utilize to get a replacement. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you, I am happy to help in any way that I can.

1 out of 5 eggsdied before 3 weeks of having it

Pros: no pros about this card i recieved

Cons: Did not even last 3 weeks.First started the rainbow effect in games, then started crashing my PC. Then went black and never came back on,not happy at all with this card I received.

Other Thoughts: Also when i received the card and took it out of the box. Their was black smug on the end of the cards like it had been burnt, not sure what this was but i was worried from the start. I see that I was right to worry.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsgood card, but broke. RMA?

Pros: This card, is one of the best cards on the market. It will tear through anything you throw at it on max settings with at least 80-90 frames. I do NOT regret buying this. I understand stuff happens, and componets will break or malfunction. Hope asus will respond and help me with my issue aspa.

Cons: This was my prized posession in my new pc build. Randomly one day i started to get

"NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version 306.97 has stopped working and recovered."

This happens to EVERYSINGLE driver update i do. Old OR new. the only thing that seems to work is when i format it and i DONT install any drivers. Then i will not have any black screens/lock ups. I have made contact to asus about an RMA already. Iv dealt with ASUS support before, and they were prompt about fixing my laptop. (g73jh). Well see how they do with my gpu. If they fix this, will rate 5 stars.

1 out of 5 eggsDied in 6 months, horrible RMA service

Pros: When it works, the card performs like a beast.

Cons: My card died after 6 months of moderate usage. Black screen on Windows boot.

Other Thoughts: I called a week ago and ASUS has still yet to complete a simple inventory check to see if they can cross-ship a new video card. Possibly the longest database query in the history of mankind, someone should check with Guinness World Records.

Should the database query fail, I will have to mail the card at my expense for repair. If it cannot be repaired, they will magically have a new one on hand to ship back. The tech support person had all the enthusiasm of a person shoveling manure at gunpoint. It's a shame the warranty policy forces me to continue business with ASUS. I will not make that mistake again.

Case #NA2279528, if anyone at ASUS would care to improve my customer experience thus far.

1 out of 5 eggsdo not buy

Pros: quiet

Cons: bought 2 of these for SLI. Start getting display driver stopped responding errors, no video signal, flickering after 6 months of light use. RMA'ed both cards and Asus sent them back within one day without fixing the problem. Ended up trouble shoot it myself and was able to determine one card was defective while the other one seems ok. I seriously doubt Asus even repaired or tested the card since the problems shows up within 10 minutes in Windows. Very poor post sale service, bad quality control, will not buy another Asus.
