The GeForce GTX 670 combines high performance with exceptional power efficiency. GPU Boost dynamically boosts clock speed for extra performance. New anti-aliasing modes eliminate jaggies without sacrificing framerate. And NIVIDIA Sound lets you game on three monitors from a single card. The GeForce GTX 670 GPU is not the end of story. ASUS exclusive DirectCU II thermal solution achieves 20% Cooler and Vastly Quieter than reference. DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology ensures stable overclocking while GPU Tweak offers real time and intuitive tuning and overclocking.

  • newegg Direct cooling for 20% cooler than reference Thick copper heatpipes are accurately positioned in direct contact with the GPU surface so heat is transported and dissipated efficiently to the heatsink - achieving a 20% cooler performance than reference. Since heat is carried away faster, fans can spin at a lower speed thus resulting in quieter performance than reference.
  • newegg DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology Acclaimed DIGI+ VRM with 8-phase Super Alloy Power technology delivers precise digital power and enhanced durability for stable overclocking. Plus, the new and exclusive Super Alloy Power technology on ASUS graphics cards uses a special alloy formula which is highly-magnetic, heat-resistant and anti-corrosive. It delivers a more stable and quieter operation compared to the reference design – a welcome bonus sought after by performance seekers.
  • newegg GPU Tweak Overclocking is made real-time and intuitive with ASUS GPU Tweak utility. It not only allows you to optimize clock speeds, voltage and fan speeds on up to four graphics cards independently or simultaneously, you can also select between GPU Tweak’s Standard or Advanced modes depending on your level of experience. For gamers out there, GPU Tweak enables instantaneous in-game video recording up to 720p resolution so you can share clips with the community easily.
  • newegg Kepler GPU Architecture NVIDIA's Kepler GPU architecture has been designed from the ground up not just for maximum performance in the latest DirectX 11 games, but optimal performance per watt. The new SMX streaming multiprocessor is twice as efficient as the prior generation and the new geometry engine draws triangles twice as fast. The result is world class performance and the highest image quality in an elegant and power efficient graphics card.
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost Up until now, GPUs have operated at a fixed clock speed when playing 3D games, even if they have the potential to run faster. GPU Boost intelligently monitors graphics work load and increases the clock speed whenever possible. The result is that the GPU always performs at its peak and you get the highest framerate possible.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

3 out of 5 eggsToo Pricey

Pros: I Actually don't own this card. I own a different GTX 670. I just wanted to say that i would buy this one to put in SLI with my other if ASUS would just drop the price down to around $200.

Cons: Price. There are better cards out there for less money from the current generation. The only reason someone has to buy this card is to run it in SLI with another GTX 670.

Other Thoughts: If you want to clear out your inventory, Asus, just drop the price on this and people like me will buy one!

3 out of 5 eggsASUS DirectCUII GTX 670

Pros: -Great Cooling Solution
-Great Overclocking Performance
-Backshield plate to prevent dust on the back

Cons: -Cannot update VBIOS except ASUS UEFI BIOS Motherboard
-Bit pricey
-Cannot use Displayport 1.2 due to signal loss issue. Results: Mouse freezing, Video Playback freezes, Windows Taskbar flicker for more than 10 seconds, etc.
-Dual-Link DVI is the only port available without a problem, except Displayport
-Driver issues with ASUS DIRECTCUII GTX 670-DC2-2GD5

Other Thoughts: Please make a better quality GPU that works 100% before you sell it.

It was supposed to be able to update VBIOS on any motherboard such as MSI, EVGA, GIGABYTE, etc.

Displayport doesn't work very well. Lost signal most of the time when it's powered off/on.

I'm tired using Dual-Link DVI cable. Displayport is so much better for higher bandwidth, higher refresh rate, as well as higher color bit rate, and even lower power usage.

When next generation GPU architecture Volta comes out by NVIDIA around 2016, I'm just going to buy GPU from MSI next time since MSI first designed cooling solution on GPU way back in 2007 or 2008. I can't recall.... Besides, it's easy to update VBIOS on MSI graphics card whereas ASUS Graphics Card doesn't allow me to update VBIOS on my MSI GD65 Z77A Motherboard. It's ridiculous!

Please ASUS, test the GPU that's working 100% before you start shipping your products on the market. No more fraud! No more gimmicks! No more defective parts! It's very annoying! I'm not happy right now and I am tired using Dual-Link DVI cable. I really want to switch over to Displayport interface!

3 out of 5 eggsi thought asus was reliable

Pros: good stats on card

Cons: not reliable - bad customer support

Other Thoughts: i did not and will not buy a graphics card from asus just based on the negative reviews on here - i am probably one in a thousand that took the time to post my thoughts - asus - if you want to sell more cards then get your service department squared away - you have already lost me as a potential customer

3 out of 5 eggsSlightly Disappointed

Pros: The fans aren't unbearably loud.

Very competitive price. Faster than the 7970 in most titles.

SLi works better than I expected, most big titles work just fine. However newer indie titles like Planetside 2, Mechwarrior, and NaturalSelection 2 don't work.

All four outputs can be used at the same time.

Cons: Didn't come packaged with an SLi connector.

Wasn't able to get a worthwhile stable overclock.

I maxed out the 2GB of VRAM by running BF3 at 2560x1600 with 4xAA, works fine with 2xAA. But I'm more worried about future titles since I planned on these cards lasting me at least two years.

I've been getting some weird artifacts. Every now and then my screen on the left will tear. Almost like the kind of static interference that you'd see on an old analog TV.

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these ($850) and expected to play BF3 at max settings at my native resolution (2560x1600) and was disappointed to find that my average framerate in BF3 and Arma2 was around 30-50 fps.

I came from a single 5870 (2 years old) and expected much more.

Core i7 920 and 16GB RAM

3 out of 5 eggsGreat for average user

Pros: Extremely fast, quite, cool, and gorgeous.

Cons: There is a bug with the GTX 680 and GTX 670 series where monitoring software, E.G. SpeedFan, Precision X, MSI Afterburner, GPUz, etc, will cause the card to create a red screen on your computer that requires a hard reboot. This also happens often with 3DMark11. The ASUS GTX 670 (both TOP and non-TOP) editions seem to experience this more often than other series of cards. A simple search for ASUS, GTX 670, and Red Screen, will prove this. Users all over are having this problem. I have personally had this happen with two non-TOP cards now. I did not overclock either of the cards, and one of them was in fact running only at 705Mhz (which is also another common bug with the ASUS version of cards), however that bug is supposed to be extremely rare.

Other Thoughts: For the average user who doesn't tweak his cards, care about benchmarking, and just wants something to throw in his system this card is a solid 5 Eggs all day long. Its simple amazing. However for the more advanced user I'd advise caution. If you get a working card then it's great, if not there is always NewEgg's extremely amazing RMA policy.
