It produces amazingly beautiful graphics and lifelike environmental interaction in the hottest DirectX 11 game titles. You'll enjoy a new level of realism in your favorite FPS, RTS, MMORPG and RACING games. The MSI-exclusive Afterburner utility enables you to extract more performance by tuning vital GPU parameters. Military Class Components with advanced Twin Froza IV thermal design allow you to game with full confidence. An array of advanced NVIDIA technology — including GPU BOOST 2.0, NVIDIA Adaptive V-Sync, NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround, and NVIDIA PhysX — offers you more than one way to elevate your gaming experience.

  • newegg Advanced Thermal Design The Twin Froza IV thermal design delivers best-in-class cooling capability you can rely on in demanding use. Dual form-in-one heatsink provides better heat dissipation and strengthen the structure. Dust Removal technology on Twin Frozr IV keeps the dust out for best thermal condition.
  • newegg Military Class III Components This graphics card uses the Military Class III Components such as Copper MOS, Hi-c CAP, Golden SSC and Dark Solid CAP to enhance the overclocking headroom under high-load conditions.
  • newegg Unlocked Digital Power This card boasts an all-new Unlocked Digital Power architecture that provides record breaking potential. The key components involved include the Unlocked BIOS, digital PWM chipset, and an enhanced power supply design. Unlocked BIOS allows one-click unlocking of all protection for extreme overclocking. Digital PWM controller provides more stable and precise voltage by digital signal. Enhanced power design outputs 2x power for maximum OC potential.
  • newegg GPU Reactor GPU Reactor is the MSI exclusive design for the overclocking stability. An add-on device on the back of graphics cards provide 200% higher power capacity and eliminate power noise (ripple).
  • newegg NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 Ensure that the GPU runs at its peak and the game is at its highest frame rate possible. It offers new levels of customization, including GPU temperature target, overclocking, and unlocked voltage.
  • newegg NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

1 out of 5 eggsPC keeps rebooting

Pros: Works great for 40 days until the latest driver update.

Cons: After the latest driver update this morning, the graphic card fans went frenzy and very loud for 2 seconds, then the computer rebooted. Did system restore, used older driver, reboot into another OS with older driver, did a complete re-install, the reboot issue still there. What else do I need to check? Is this card defective?

Other Thoughts: My first and last MSI card. I used EVGA GTX 560 Ti for 3 years with lots of updates and never had a problem.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card but

Pros: I used this card in a lot of games and it is fast. Runs bioshock infinite on hight no problem.

Cons: seems week in certain games ( i have to run battlefield 4 on medium or it will fall under 60 fps (40 to 50), wich a lot of user of gtx 770 seems to run on ultra whit no problem so maybe it's my card...

Other Thoughts: Maybe i got a default card but i don't know.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied.....Keeping it ;)

Pros: Runs most of my fav games @ silky 60fps with vsync on with maxed settings

Card controls temps great (idle 24c haven't seen it go over 65c under load)

Card has weight to it and doesn't feel flimsy or cheap

Extremely quiet ....... don't think i have even heard it over the few 80mm case fans i have installed

Backplate and blue reactor / LED's look cool

Cons: Price! (paid $330 after Rebate)

IMO all of the high end GPU's are WAYYY will pay $$$ for high quality video with high framerates....period

Driver support could be better with some egg taken

Other Thoughts: Installed this in a somewhat older computer:

i7 2600 (stock speeds 2.7 ghz)
ASUS Sabertooth X58
6gb DDR3
Corsair TX750
Windows 8.1 64x

(Nvidia driver 331.82)

BF3 and 4 without vsync average around 50-60fps on ultra settings in MP.... very playable but the framerate does drop below 60fps at times with settings maxed but its still smooth enough i haven't even tried to lower the quality ;)

Skyrim with all the HD mods runs silky smooth constant 60 fps with vsync and uses about 1.5gb of vram.......really impressed with the performance on this one!!

Far Cry 3 has pretty bad frame drops in certain areas (30-40fps ouch) thinking this is driver related as its not even utilizing all the gpu power when it happens......still does a pretty good job keeping it close to 60fps with some of the settings lowered.......very playable and looks great still

Nvidia Shadowplay software works great!!!! Have a good round in BF??? Just press Alt+f10 and it drops the last 10 minutes of gameplay into documents / video folder.........VERY COOL !!!

Was glad the card came with Newegg's Ironegg return policy incase i wasn't happy and decided to return it........nah......i'll be keeping this........but thx ;)

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: -Nice yellow card to match there MPower board's
- Its a screaming great of a card if you get at the right price
- I like all the overclocking ability to match my overclock build
- Its also really quite

Cons: Okay this needs to be said
Why on earth would you put a yellow card with blue LED's on it. Not many people are going to have a yellow blue color scheme. And to top it off at the time of writing this review you are unable to turn them off. I swear the day when you can turn them off will be the day I'm a happy camper. Because of this it has ruined my whole color scheme of my build. Worst part also is it looks like the LED's are hardwired into the card it's self, and looks like no soldering can save me from changing them out.

For real though MSI please give support on Nvidias led visualizer so i can change this.

Other Thoughts: For real though great card

If yellow and blue is your color go for it....

3 out of 5 eggsAn update to my previous review

Pros: Read cons if you want to overclock

Cons: So after getting everything installed, I wanted to see what I could get out of my new 770. The answer was not much without some heavy modding.

First off, the voltage is capped at 1.215v which limits what you can do with the core clock. With mine, I am only able to max out my core clock at 1254MHz (memory clock at 1850MHz but not maxed).

The way to get you OC to stay is that you have to mod your BIOS, and change the default clocks.

Every time I tried to OC my card, the OC would get throttled and it would lower it. Sometimes it would go back up depending on the GPU load, but more often than not it would stay down, and I would have to quit MSI Afterburner and restart the program to get my OC back.

Now that all is said and done, I do have an OC on the card ONLY after modding the BIOS. But sadly, I can't OC anymore because I am limited to an increase of +12 on MSI AF for my voltage (because it's max is locked at 1.215V).

To me, this is pretty much a joke. If I want to OC a card, that should be my business. If it bricks, that's my fault, but I shouldn't be limited on what I can do with my hardware.

- 1 Egg for my previous review

-1 Egg for locked voltage and having to mod my BIOS to get any kind of OC to stick.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
All lightning cards although superior in hardware design but are required to cap performance per nVidia's Green Light program requirement.
VGA card is locked by BIOS as well as driver.

4 out of 5 eggsCard is great, Newegg is mehhhh

Pros: - Card runs cool
- Looks great
- Performance is outstanding
- MSI warranty (I think that as a pro because I love their warranty)

Cons: - Big. I knew this going in, so make sure you can fit it in your case.

- Newegg, newegg, newegg... I purchased this card with the NVIDIA Holiday bundle, and when I received my card, I had no games in the box.

I contacted Newegg (after 40 mins on hold to actually talk to someone), and they said that even though I ordered it with the games, since some of them were out of stock (Assassins Creed and Splinter Cell), I would not be receiving them even though I purchased the card while the promotion was still advertised.

The only thing they were able to do was send me Batman Arkham Origins (which they still had in stock). No other games, no gift card, nothing to say "Sorry we didn't have the game to give you that you ordered".

I still love Newegg, but after this, I will be much more hesitant with my purchases.

5 out of 5 eggsGlorious Beast!

Pros: Extra large fans and heat sink array should keep it quiet and cool, Nice looking package and absolutely Amazing performance that should have no trouble keeping up with whatever the gaming world throws at it for the next couple years, as overall MSI has been building some very fierce components, and this looks to live up to the legend. Or at least that's what I expect it to do - Unfortunately my computer build is still very early on. This along with a very becoming keyboard from Perixx were the first things I bought for it. As it is now, I take it down from it's shelf periodically and kind of coo at it, and tell it I love it and that it's a very pretty card, and very smart too. And it will one day do great things. i pet it for a few minutes and nuzzle it before gently placing it back in its box and returning it to it's shelf. My wife thinks Im odd. I'll likely leave her - her jealousy of that wonderous card is palpable.

Cons: Does not coo back, nor will it tell me im pretty. It sits in it's box feigning cold indifference as I tell it how much it means to me, and not once bothered to compliment my hair or shoes.. Frankly this relationship is starting to feel one sided. May not leave my wife afterall... need to play it cool and not be hasty. Anyhow, It is rather huge, even by full size card standards - (There, I called it fat. Who's the jerk now?!?!?) This is due to the extra beefy heatsink and upgraded fans. MSI sells a "Gaming" version of this card that has nearly the same punch minus the overclocking features in a smaller package for about 50 dollars less. If I had bought that one, i probably could have shoved it into the roach of a Gateway case that is on life support pretending to be my computer until it's glorious replacement can be constructed. But, that would be compromising and compromising sucks. This is the highest and best, most wonderballs version of the GTX 770 and I didnt want to hold back. It just hurts when your affection is unrequited, you know?
