2 out of 5 eggsOk I guess

Pros: It stays cool and quiet.

Cons: This card consistently under performs in nearly every game. I compared benchmarks from reviews on tomshardware and I get on average 10 to 15 frames less then even a reference 780 in nearly every newer game. It doesn't overclock well at all either. I've checked for people using the same or similar components to what I have on 3dmark and unigine heaven and in both cases I score lower than everyone else running the same tests. I've tried everything short of a full windows reinstall to get this this working as it should. I would have returned it in the first month if neweggs policy allowed returns for this card at the time. I guess I'll just have to wait and get something better when the new cards release.

Other Thoughts: AMD FX8320 - 4.2ghz
Gigabyte 990fx UD3
G.Skill Sniper 8gb DDR3 1600mhz

I got this on sale around December. I should have just sprung for an EVGA or Gigabyte card instead.

5 out of 5 eggsAs it should be

Pros: It does everything it is promised to do.

Cons: Not even one

Other Thoughts: Was going to get the EVGA, but this was on sale, and I'm not the least bit sorry I bought this one.

4 out of 5 eggsVRAM could be a limitation

Pros: Great card, very fast, a lot cheaper than some other 780s.

Cons: Like all 780s the 3GB of VRAM is a limiting factor at 2560x1440 with lots of textures.

Other Thoughts: R9 290 might be a wiser buy if you are looking at playing a heavily modded Skyrim.

5 out of 5 eggs2x MSI N780 TF in SLI

Pros: * nVidia
* Does not get loud
* Can be overclocked easily
* Has 4 outputs (2x DVI, 1x HDMI, 1x DP)
* Supports nVidia HD Audio Driver [installed by default with Geforce drivers] - Allows surround sound over HDMI
* Renders Dawn in enough polygons to make Theodore from "Her" consider cheating

Cons: * The included "GamingApp" is a bunch of hogwash. It has a confusing error if you have SLI enabled which makes it seem like you have to load the app, disable SLI, then re-enable SLI to get it to work right.
*^ Just stick with using Afterburner for O/C, then the above isn't an issue
* Cheating is bad. Don't do it Theo!

Other Thoughts: * I could have taken the blue pill, and woke up with just one 780. I chose to take the red pill, and saw just how deep the rabbit hole goes.
* I have it set up for a desktop computer to a 22" ASUS HD monitor; I also run an HDMI cable (w/ Redmere) through my ceiling to my Home Theater (51" 3D Plasma, 5.1 surround). Video card runs both at full 1080P, while also being my "sound card" and giving games full high quality 5.1 surround sound. I'm not sure whether the sound processing is GPU or CPU driven - but either way it doesn't have a noticeable performance impact.
* nVidia has a 3DTV Play software which will allow you to game in 3D using a 3D TV - but it costs extra and I don't really enjoy gaming with 3D Glasses.

1 out of 5 eggsterrible quality control

Pros: runs everything at ultra
decent price

Cons: Causes my computer to not boot after a few months.
I spent 5 hours trying to debug what happened to my computer as it randomly turned off and wouldn't start back up. Pulled out cables and minimized it to be the video card's problem. Then, I found a small chip dropping out of my video card when I pulled it out!

Other Thoughts: now I'm worried about their quality, my motherboard is a MSI board as well, mpower Z87......

2 out of 5 eggsFast but flawed

Pros: Fast. runs every game maxed.

Cons: Doesn't overclock very well, voltage throttles down at a certain point for no apparent reason, making overclock unstable. Not impressed with the coolers performance.

The fans started making a rattling noise after a few weeks, and appeared to be leaking oil. My first card fried after a couple months, the second fried a few weeks after that while waiting on a replacement for the first.

Other Thoughts: Bought two for an sli build and both failed. Decided to go with reference cooled 780s from evga, which are better in almost every way.

System specs:
Intel Core i7 4820k @ 4.8 GHz
16 GB G.skill PC3-12800
Antec HCP-1000 1000 Watt platinum PSU
Two GTX 780 SLI
Antec NINE-HUNDRED-TWO Mid-Tower case

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Vid card for price!@

Pros: Everything about it. I can run any game maxed out, including Crysis 3. Everything works perfectly, no freezes, no overheating, runs cool for what it is, and quiet. I really don't see how PC noise can ever be an issue in the first place, considering when buying something like this, you most likely have a killer sound setup also.

Cons: None. Bought mine for 450$ on Newegg, will buy a second one once next gen comes out.

Other Thoughts: Great card and absolutely worth the extra over the 660 and 670's when it comes to longevity.

Specs:
4670k
16gb g.skill
780 gtx
SSD 120gb Samsung
C70, K70, M65, Corsair 750 gold PS (all corsair products)
MSI z87-g43 gaming MB

4 out of 5 eggsToo much!

Pros: No game stresses it @ 1080p.
Quiet is an understatement - loud whisper under load in a Fractal Design R4 case.

Cons: So 'spensive! I seriously considered buying a PS4 instead.

Other Thoughts: Paired with a 3570k @ 4.2GHz, there's not a game that has given any indication of even a hiccup.
27c idle / 50c max
