Gaming series graphics card

Now You're Gaming With MSI

A graphics card is the single most important element for more FPS. As gamers, we understand not just any graphics card "will do." That's why MSI brings you the best of the best to its gaming series graphics card. The NVIDIA GeForce Kepler-based GPU brings an array of advanced graphics technologies to elevate your gaming experience. Want more performance without annoying noise and heat? With MSI Gaming series graphics cards you get just that.

Gaming Series Features

Pre-Overclocked Performance

Most MSI Gaming graphics cards come pre-overclocked out of the factory. This simply means you get more performance out of your card, without spending any time on checking for maximum clocks and stability. Pre-overclocked graphics cards simply give more performance and you don't have to worry about damaging your card, it is completely covered by MSI warranty!

Gaming App
Easy Tune, Easy Play

OC Mode
  • Tune up core clock and fan speed for the best performance.
Gaming Mode (Default)
  • Provides a stable gaming experience with higher core clock.
Silent Mode
  • The best operating environment with fabulous low noise.

Advanced Twin FROZR IV

MSI's Twin Frozr has been the industry defining graphics card cooler. The first Twin Frozr kicked off the dual-fan trend and today MSI stays true to its dual-fan, dual-slot design where others offer less effective means.

Twin Frozr coolers also use a large Aluminium-fin grid array that provides a huge amount of surface area for cooling. Heat from the GPU is transferred to the fin grid array by virtue of heat pipes with MSI's special SuperPipe technology. SuperPipes transfer heat twice as fast as regular heat pipes enabling an MSI Gaming graphics card to stay cooler than the competition.

Futhermore, MSI provides all new Airflow Control technology on the Twin Frozr. This new thermal tech leads air to the heat pipe by a special deflector on the heatsink, so it can deflect more airflow to heat pipes directly. In addition, this exclusive heatsink design increases the area of heatsink to enhance the efficiency of dissipation.

Military Class Components

One of the deciding factors in performance is the quality of the components used. That is why MSI only uses MIL-STD-810G certified components for its Gaming cards because only these components have proven to be able to withstand the torturous circumstances of extreme gaming and overclocking.

Solid Caps

With their aluminum core design, Solid CAP's have been a staple in high-end mainboard designs and provides lower Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) as well as an over-10-year lifespan.

Hi-C Cap

A Hi-c Cap is a very small but super-efficient capacitor. Besides ensuring enough spacing around a CPU socket to install large coolers, it also allows for 93% energy efficiency. Thanks to Hi-c CAP's MSI mainboards are the most energy efficient in the market.

New Super Ferrite Chokes

New Super Ferrite Chokes use a Ferrite core that is super-permeable. This allows the Super Ferrite Chokes to run at about 100 degrees Farenheit (35 degrees Celsius) cooler, have a 30% higher current capacity, a 20% improvement in power efficiency, and offer better overclocking power stability.

Experience - Predator
Share For Fun

A built-in screen and video capturing tool named Predator captures your screen as still images or videos with the push of a button and allows you to capture and record your coolest, goofiest, and most awesome gaming moments on your PC!

MSI Afterburner has quickly become the favorite overclocking software for media, overclockers and end-users. Because of its simple interface, it's easy to learn, but it packs a lot of powerful features like an integrated benchmark utility called Kombustor that can check your system performance in benchmarking mode, or run as a stability test.

Don't speak English? No problem: MSI Afterburner is translated in many languages including Russian, Spanish, Chinese and Korean! Not satisfied with the looks? Just change to one of the many different skins or create one yourself with ease!

Even better, you can run Afterburner straight from your smartphone! Download the MSI Afterburner App from Google Play or the Apple store and start overclocking wit.

At 5760 x 1080, the expanded field of view fully engages human peripheral vision and provides for the most immersive experience in racing and flight simulators. Add in a fourth display to keep tabs on chat, email, or the web while you are gaming.

NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync (VSync)

NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync (VSync)

Nothing is more distracting than framerate stuttering and screen tearing. The first tends to occur when framerates are low, the second when framerates are high. Adaptive V-Sync is a smarter way to render frames. At high framerates, V-sync is enabled to eliminate tearing, at low frame rates, it's disabled to minimize stuttering. It gets rid of distractions so you can get on with gaming.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs all my games at 60 fps on a 1440p monitor.

Stays cool...really cool. Gaming at 1080p could use stock fan setting of 34% and would never go over 60c. On 1440p had to setup custom fan profile and temps only reach 64c.

Quite! Stock fan speed cant be heard over case fans or really at all. Even at 70% on custom fan curve, I cant hear the fans themselves, just the air moving from them and even then only because my current desktop setup has back of case pointing at me.

Cons: Connecting one of the 8 pin power wires is annoying from the heatpipe that sticks out and semi interferes with the connection, tho mostly when removing and not so much when plugging in.

I also wonder if the same said heatpipe will damage the 8 pin power connector that's mm's away by design as that heatpipe gets really hot since it direct touches the gpu core and doesn't hit its part of the heat spreader till after it comes close to the 8 pin connector.

Other Thoughts: Great gaming card. Highly recommend it, even if the 700 series is last years model at this point.

4 gigs of video memory is awesome for 1440p and above resolutions, including multi monitor setups. People were flaming 4g's on a 770 as useless, and it kinda of is for most people. But if u play in better then 1080p its a must have, I have hit over 50% ram usage on a few games, meaning standard 2g wouldn't cut it.

4 out of 5 eggsGTX 770 4gb OC

Pros: Card is a monster. Has given my machine (which is slightly dated) at least another year of use. MSI is/has been the only card manufacturer that I have ever/will ever own. Nice and quiet, runs cool.

Cons: Was stuttering pretty bad every time something loud would happen in game. An explosion would freeze me up for .5s. Traced this down to the Nvidia HD audio driver (thanks to some wonderful posts in the nividia forums). It was not playing nice with the VIA HD audio motherboard driver. Uninstalled the HD audio driver (I don't use HDMI to watch movies on my monitor) and stuttering gone. Took one egg off for this as Nvidia needs to sort this out.

Other Thoughts: Card is pretty big. Doubt that I would fit in a mid tower case easily.

My system:
Asus Crosshair IV formula
AMD Phenom II 1090T hexa core
Mushkin DDR3 1333 ram
Thermaltake 750w ps

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Card!!!

Pros: Everything about this card. It is much faster than my old Radeon 7870. Plus, the backplate is a great add on, without it I would have probably burnt some whites because my case fans where touches the back. This card runs BF4 at about 75 fps on ultra without any problem. Every game that I play, this card easily runs it. The inky game that gives me any trouble is Minecraft lol.

Cons: It's big. Make sure you have enough room in your case before you buy it., that's about it. No real problems with the card had I have owned it for over a year now.

Other Thoughts: You gotta buy this card.. Get it it's the best graphics card I have owned. The cooling system is great and the speed is incredible.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Good card, roughly three times as powerful as my Sapphire 6850. It can run any game I throw at it, including heavily modded Skyrim.

The extra VRAM will hopefully give me enough headway to buy another 770 to put into SLI farther down the road, when I'm being bottlenecked by the power of the 770 (and not the VRAM).

Cons: The first card I got had heating issues (running at almost 100C under load) but I RMAed it and MSI sent me a new one which works fine.

Other Thoughts: The base clock rate is 1085mhz, not 1137. That being said it's easy to overclock it with MSI Afterburner so you can get that 1137.

The R9 280X may be more appropriate for most people playing at 1080p. It has 3GB of VRAM and is $330, while being only about 10% weaker than the 770.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card can run Watchdogs with ultra settings and get 45-55 frames per second. It can also run BioShock Infinite with ultra settings and get a solid frame rate of 60 frames per second (110 fps without locking the frame rate.)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I definitely recommend this graphics card!

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic card!

Pros: -Super fast
-Stays cool with Twin Frozr design
-A full 4GB of VRAM
-Can handle ANY game

Cons: -Pricey
-A little on the large side
-That's the only cons

Other Thoughts: This card is a real beast. I love the fact that it has a full 4GB of video RAM allowing me to run multiple monitors with no issues. And it is very fast. Screaming fast. It's essentially a GTX 680 on steroids. And since the 680 is still a very capable card, this baby rocks and destroys any current game, including BF4. I can run Ultra and get 70-90 FPS with three 1920x1080 22 inch monitors. And I love the twin fan design. On max load the card stays about 65C and is quiet as a mouse.

Fantastic card.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: Runs fast, 4GB of ram is very nice, Also runs cool. Ran on passmark DX 11 1920X1080, 8X AA Everything maxed. Never got over 52 degrees and had around 23.8 fps which is not bad considering. Would recommend now just to figure out where i can stuff another of these massive cards for SLI...

Cons: Ummm..It is kinda huge so be prepared for that. Other than that none so far.

5 out of 5 eggsNo regrets

Pros: Easy to install, Easy to update. No issues running any game at 60 FPS at 1080p with maximum settings.

Cons: Heatpipe just barely interferes with one of the 6pin connectors as far as plugging it in. Ridiculously minor inconvenience.

Other Thoughts: Great card. good price. Strong.

5 out of 5 eggsSo good I bought a second

Pros: Awesome Card, Runs circles around my R9 270, Easy to overclock, and fan control is a breeze.

Other Thoughts: It was such a great card I decided to buy a second. This Card is what made me an MSi fan boy I am today. My fragbox has an MSi gaming graphics card and Mobo, My tower has 2 of these particular MSi graphics cards and mobo. MY LAPTOP IS EVEN A MSi!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsBought Two for SLi, Works Fine

Pros: Put them in, threw on the SLi Bridge, and they started up without any problems (I bought two).

They run cool and quiet. Even at 100% fan speed, it's not that loud at all (At least compared to my delta fans or the FirePro I own).

Two of these demolish any modern game title like no tomorrow.

Cons: Doesn't come with an SLi bridge, just to say.

If you have a motherboard that supports three way crossfire, I'd get three GTX 760 4GB instead.

The PCI Express power is hard to remove without some pliers or uncomfortable bending of the PCB because there's a heatpipe directly below the clips.

Other Thoughts: On Furmark, using the stock fan profile and the cards one slot away from each other, the top one hit 86C and the bottom one hit 65C. At 100% fan speed, the top was 65C and the bottom was 55C.

On Bioshock, it was easily getting over 120 fps constantly, but you will want to enable Vsync if you have a 60 Hz monitor like I do otherwise it will tear like mad.

Batman Arkham City was getting 50fps min to 140 fps max, but once again, I would enable Vsync.

Both games were maxed out on settings. Temps ran to 65C on the top card and 55C on the bottom card under the games above.

I did not overclock, as these card are overkill fast already.

I would avoid using the 8 pin to 6 pin adapters included because if your PSU doesn't natively have them, then you should consider upgrading the PSU.
