1 out of 5 eggsDon't believe the rebate

Pros: Card good enough for smooth full 1080p HD playback and streaming, which is what I got it for. Handles two monitors well.

Cons: Rebate rejected for no reason. So 1 star unless I can get it accepted without spending hours on phone support hold.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsbuggy, buggy, buggy

Pros: quiet

Cons: trying to upgrade HP dx5150 and card does nothing but bring the system performance to its knees. Machine stalls, hangs, internet is hopeless, browser has blackout sections. Clean XP Pro install, tried all manner of bios video settings and driver installs, but computer recovers every time I take the accursed thing out. Been building systems since 2000 and only about the 3rd nvidia one and they have all been disasters, AMD/ATI rules! Maybe the card has some use in HTPC but uselss for a normal computer

1 out of 5 eggsran well for a bit, then random crashes and artifacts

Pros: Ran pretty well for a budget card paired with 3ghz quad-core and 8 gb of ram, TF2 at high settings. Then the card started acting up.

Cons: Runs pretty hot.
Have had the card for 2 weeks, ive had a couple of random video crashes (computer is still running, but black screen), and have noticed little green flashing pixels in places, especially in a line while running Steam.

Other Thoughts: Card ran well for gaming on a budget, maybe I got a defective one. Bought this from a retail store, not newegg.

2 out of 5 eggsWay too loud for HTPC

Pros: The card is quick for a half-height low-end card.

Cons: The fan on this thing has horrible speed control, and is irritatingly loud for use in a living room.
If you need a half-height card for an HTPC, get something else.

2 out of 5 eggsFan died within a couple of months

Pros: Quiet (great for a htpc)
Good while it lasted

Cons: Shoddy fan

Other Thoughts: I used this card in a htpc used primarily for watching tv and movies. The card was nice and very quiet for the first couple of months. Then the fan started to die and it got loud. Very loud. The fan connector is a 4 pin (unlike the picture) which I can't find a replacement for. I can piece something together but it's frustrating. Next time I keep the box. 5 eggs otherwise.

2 out of 5 eggsPNY VCGGT

Pros: good price, nice video quality. Many inputs - VGA, HDMI, DVI.
Included low profile brackets for VGA only, HDMI and DVI

Cons: I needed a low-profile video card. This one came with included low profile brackets. However, the low profile bracket for HDMI and DVI inputs would not fit and partially covered hdmi input, which makes it useless.

Other Thoughts: I didn't want to return the video card - tried contacting their tech support over the phone.
Got transfered over to tech support and their system "accidentally" hung up on me. Left them a message, requesting a new bracket - let 's see how far I'd get with this.

3 out of 5 eggsDifferent

Pros: Pretty good video card, since I am coming from an old 6000 series. I think this will run all my old video games great. From what I have heard it can overclock wonderfully to about 850 MHz. I've never overclocked before though.

Cons: It looks completely different. It has a gray/steel colored heat sink with a black fan which looks smaller than the orange one. Not only does it not look as good but if the fan is smaller I question if it will cool the unit as well as the other fan. This is a big issue for me, because the main reason I picked this card over the 430 made by ASUS is because of looks. The two cards are practically similar other than that.

Other Thoughts: Haven't got a real test out of it yet because the motherboard I purchased was Intel and had a serious issue with drivers. Worst motherboard I have seen in my life, even out of the old ones I remember as a child in the 90s.

3 out of 5 eggsREAD REBATE BEFORE PURCHASE

Pros: Does what it is advertised to do.

Cons: I took away 2 eggs because PNY is not honoring their rebate. The rebate form clearly reads PURCHASE date which would be the invoice date, not the order date!

Other Thoughts: The reason i purchased this card is because it had a mail in rebate that came with it. I ordered it on the night of 12-31-11. I was not invoiced for it until 1-1-12. After ordering the card i printed the rebate form which did not start until 1-1-12. Today i recieved a email from PNY saying that i did not purchase the card during their alloted time frame. Don't they realize no one was open on new years eve, and can"t they read a invoice date???

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: nVidia. Half-height. Low power consumption

Cons: Didn't like nVidia's installation software/routine using Customization install. Had to do express.

Other Thoughts: Make sure to re-download the proper drivers from nVidia.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent little budget video card. 1080p video clips play fine and even online games like Zuma Blitz run more smoothly than with my integrated card before. As others have mentioned, there is a low power requirement so those with basic stock PSU's should be fine. Runs Fallout New Vegas on High settings, which is great.

Cons: Had some major problems getting the software installed properly--I lost sound to my entire system! PNY was very responsive but their solutions were pedantic and not helpful. Ultimately, a tech forum suggested I re-install the Windows HD audio drivers, which happily solved the issue.

Other Thoughts: Can't complain at all about the card's excellent performance or the responsiveness of PNY's customer support. Just make sure the software installation goes according to plan!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the money

Pros: Quiet
Value
Brought WEI up from a 3 to a 5.6.

Cons: Other than a security bar being stuck onto the actual PCI-E contacts and also partially stuck to a sticker that says, "Warranty void if removed" none.

Other Thoughts: After a move I needed the ability to switch between an LCD TV for multimedia purposes and a monitor for general computing and at $51 after rebate this was a great improvement in my HP P6100z over the integrated graphics. I'm glad I didn't go with a VGA splitter.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great but needed some tweaking

Pros: good job for a HTPC
easy installation
good value

Cons: low-profile bracket required drilling to fit
had to bend the heat exchanger to fit in my HT PC box (slim tower)
does not support SLI - for those who have on-board Nvidia with SLI

4 out of 5 eggsIt's decent.

Pros: It's a good product, it work with low energy, I've yet to hear the fan buzz, and it's playing my games better on my slim.

Cons: The driver it comes with is out of date and you have to get a recent one from the website.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Plays 1080i(haven't tried P) with no problems. Small, quiet, and cheap.

Cons: For some reason every driver EXCEPT for the nvidia beta drivers for it caused a blue screen after they were loaded. I tried both PCIe slots, drivers from the CD, drivers from nvidia, drivers from windows update, and the all caused a blue screen on next start up, except the Beta drivers which work wonderfully.

Other Thoughts: This is a great little card for the money.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat bang for the buck

Pros: Bang for buck, this card is a great deal; but don't expect to run Skyrim or RIFT on full settings, nor expect this card to behave like a full 430. It's probably provides 40-50% the frame rate.

Cons: The 128-bit memory bus and 1600MHz clock is the limiting factor. It doesn't run RIFT and Skyrim well on 1920x1200 even on lower settings; this is just a fundamental limitation based on the capabilities of the GPU/DRAM, etc.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Fast, cool, low-profile, inexpensive.
My prior XFX card (junk) was always running at 70°C +. This card runs at 40°ish.
Low profile preserves an extra PCI slot.

Cons: Even though this card has superior specs in every way to the XFX card that it replaced, my WPE for graphics went down from 5.5 to 5.6 ???
Otherwise, it seems to function well.
Installation disables on-board Realtek audio drivers.

Other Thoughts: WARNING: If you use the installation CD, it will wipe out your on-board audio drivers. Them you will have to reinstall them. Just put in the card a nd download the latest drivers from NVIDEA.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent for the price

Pros: - Small form factor
- Comes with low profile backplanes
- Inexpensive
- Works well in Linux with the Nvidia UNIX drivers

Cons: - Blocks the adjacent slot, the heatsink protrudes beyond the edge of the card by about 1/8"... just enough so that the heatsink will most definitely touch and short out any card in the neighboring motherboard slot!

Other Thoughts: Some people complained about loud fan noise, but I don't hear it? I ran the unigine 3D benchmarking tools for over an hour and couldn't get the fan speed to ever go above 33% (as reported by the Nvidia control panel).

Maybe it is loud in a tiny, unventilated enclosure but in my setup it is surprisingly quiet for having such a small fan.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Upgrade

Pros: Reasonable price, memory, & speed

Cons: The HD audio driver that goes with the video card, I presume for the HDMI output, was not supplied on the driver CD. After installing an updated driver from the Nvidia website everything was fine.

Other Thoughts: This card was part of a system upgrade and replaces an old Nvidia 440MX based AGP card. This card is considerably smaller with many times the memory and speed.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's a very good Video Card for what it costs.

Cons: The Driver software is out of date, but you can get the updated version online.
It won't let the fan run over 30%, but MSI Afterburner will fix that.

4 out of 5 eggsupdated older server

Pros: locally available at a moments notice
capable
drivers easily and automatically updated

Cons: locally pricey
3 year old technology

Other Thoughts: The local computer shop was closed, and I got this in the electronic section of a variety dept. store. It seems if I went mail order, I could have gotten much newer technology with double the memory for less of a price, but I wanted to fix an install of both Win 7 and 8 which may have been prevented by faulty drivers with the then currently installed "old" nVidia card. This card allowed the restoration and upgrade at the time I had to do the fix, so basically I must be happy with it.

4 out of 5 eggsI like

Pros: Good value @ $49.99, quiet, Windows rates it 6.7, Linux recognized the Nvidia chip or driver, HDMI, 1GB 128-bit DDR3, PCI 2.0 x16.

Cons: Blocks another PCI slot in the ASUS M4A88T-V EVO/USB3. When I rotate the cube in Linux it seems a bit choppy. Nothing too serious to dislike it or not to recommend it.

4 out of 5 eggsTakes two slots

Pros: The card works well. It is the equivalent of my older Saphire ATI Radeon 4830. That was a full width (regular size) card with a card wide fan. It was a double slot card.

Cons: I'm taking an egg off for uselessly stating this is a low profile card, but failing to state it can chew up two slots.

I have a new Asus Sabertooth 990FX mobo, and it is physically impossible for a tiny Biostar 2 SATA port card to be in the X1 slot underneath the X16 video card slot 1.

I tried the video card in the X16 third slot, nothing, so there's no work around. Get one of the full width 430 cards that are plainly a single slot card if you don't want to chance chewing up two slots.

4 out of 5 eggsMixed Bag

Pros: Work well, no jitter when playing movies or games at high resolution.

Cons: My beef isn't with PNY who makes a reasonable product for a reasonable price but with Newegg. I contacted them seeking a resolution, the card didn't come with the items it was supposed to (CD, Low profile bracket) But they just pushed me off to PNY, who handled it somewhat slowly but they took care of it. I know Newegg didn't manufacture the card but they could have simply sent me one and a box to return the one that came sans accessories.

Other Thoughts: Overall it is a decent card and I won't downgrade it for the dunce I communicated with at Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsA decent temporary replacement

Pros: I've had this card for almost a year now, and it performs decently. I purchased this as a temporary replacement for a fried PNY 8800 GT. It performs about as well, with the added benefit of running DirectX 11. Another nice thing is that it came with a low profile bracket, for those wanting to use it in such an application. It's a nice small card, and stays fairly cool.

Cons: It's only about as good as an 8800 GT. Yes, I know this is a pro at the price, but I had figured that enough years had passed that even a cheaper card would have smoked a four/five year-old card. Still worth the money regardless.

Other Thoughts: I've always liked PNY cards, as they've always been highly reliable for me.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to install. Runs quiet. Low power. Pretty much as advertised. Don't expect to run any games on High. But if you're struggling with low performance on-board graphics like my brother. It should let you play most games with little graphic lag. He was having trouble running World of Tanks on all low setting and after it worked just fine.

A cheap upgrade. Fits well in small PC towers that became prevalent in stores.

Cons: None really.

4 out of 5 eggsnice card, limited driver

Pros: This card is working well in my Dell 5100c small form factor case, the fan and heatsink are keeping it reasonably cool and are not hitting any of the other Dell components and it is not overloading the power supply.

Cons: Driver will not let you force an EDID so the card has to be connected to a monitor on booting or the resolution will be set lower than you probably want. This is a problem if you use a KVM switch too.

Other Thoughts: Other Nvidia drivers offer the force EDID option and I wasn't aware that the ones for this card wouldn't. I'll look for another card with a better driver at some point but the Dell's limitations (space, heat & low wattage power supply) make it unlikely I'll find a better option.

Pros: Will run WOW on high settings but I could not get the card to run on ultra settings. Also got it to run SWTOR on a mix of high and medium settings. Does a good job with Netflix. I do think this is a very good budget video card and it works very well for me.

Cons: Will not run WOW and SWTOR on the highest settings. I personal feel that if you playing higher end games you are better off with a higher end card with DDR 5 memory. This is because when a new expansions of the game comes out, they tend to put an higher demand on the video card.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, low-profile video card

Pros: Fast for its use in an HTPC, outputs the desktop beautifully via HDMI. Running well in a small form factor PC with only 275W power supply even with CPU and GPU stress testing with SETI@Home.

Cons: The pictures of the heat sink aren't accurate. The heat sink is approx 1/4" taller than the card. I had to cut some internal case mounts to be able to fit it in my HTPC. As long as you have a little space with which to work, this shouldn't be a problem. In my case, the hard drive bracket left no room for the taller heat sink, so it had to be modified.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I'm very pleased with the card, and the last step is receiving the rebate.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for integrated upgrade

Pros: Price.

Cons: ????

Other Thoughts: Can tell a difference over my integrated card. Is it awesome? No. It is lower end. But I only had so much room. Could have used a better one now for the fact a wireless card installed above it I was trying to save had to be removed anyway. Now there is more room. Didn't use it anyway but thought maybe later. Weird thing though. After installing, media center will not work. Related? Don't know. All forum fixes I found got me nowhere.

4 out of 5 eggsFits in an Emachine Micro Case

Pros: Low profile board fits in a cheap eMachine microtower system with no modification.
Fan lines up with holes in case for good ventilation
Low power draw
Decent performance, especially for the cost

Cons: HDMI port doesn't line up correctly on the low profile bracket - I had to dremel it to make it line up (the bracket, not the board)
Fan seems cheap

Other Thoughts: Bought this to improve video performance in a cheap eMachines microtower. The constraints of the tiny tower, and even tinier power supply made my options few. I chose this card because it features 128 bit memory vs other cards in the classes 64 bit. So far it has worked well.

Pros: the card was very easy to installed, and it's very very quiet.

Cons: the drivers that come the card won't work with win. 7 You have to install the card and let win.7 find the updated drives.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect For Me

Pros: DVI, HDMI & VGA connections
Small Profile

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I picked this up for my multi-use PC. It handles Bluray to my HDTV and my regular computing needs. I'm not much of a gamer so it's perfect and seemed like a great bang for the buck when I picked it up.

Bonus movie through PNY was fun perk too.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic HTPC card!

Pros: Fastest nVidia card for a typical HTPC with a 300Watt power supply or less. It states that a 300W is required, but it runs flawlessly on my 220W running an intel Quad Core. Very quite and doubles the performance of the card it replaced - 220GT. Windows Experience Index is 6.3 on both 2D and 3D.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Will be buying another for my other HTPC!

Pros: This is only the second graphics card I have purchased (I usually try to buy a good motherboard since I don't really play games) but it far exceeded my expectations. I wanted to be able to watch 3D movies cheaply since I just got a nice but inexpensive plasma. This is not only a good price but the graphics blow away my
Blu Ray player (I have a 3D BR burner in my box as well).

Cons: The linux driver does not do 3D at all like the Windows based graphics. Oh well. Maybe one day I can get away with only running windows VM

Other Thoughts: Usually like AMD/ATI but this card changed my mind!

5 out of 5 eggsA great little card

Pros: This card is so much smaller than my GTS8800(s) were... the extra room in the case now promotes much better air circulation. My rig is old now (2007) but this card allows me to use this gaming rig a little while longer.

Cons: the fan wire seems a little too exposed for my taste, but hasn't actually been a problem.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for low psu's and small cases

Pros: Just when i opened the box i found myself amazed at the beautiful, blue, chrome, shiny hardware.
I dont know why alot of people are saying this card isnt for gaming, i can max out most games including modern wrfare 2 and black ops, and run mafia 2 and gta 4 on very high settings.
this card is great for gaming, watching blu ray movies, performing video editing tasks, etc
1gb of 700Mhz is also the highest clock i have found for low profile cards yet

it also uses very little power, im on a 220 psu thats also powering 4gb of ram and a quad core cpu.

I highly recomend this card over any other to anybody on an htpc.

Cons: I guess if you leave your pc on overnight , you WILL hear the noise of the fan. But i always have music on, so it isnt a big deal at all.

Ive barely had this card a few days, hopefully it lasts a very long time.

Other Thoughts: If you bought an office desktop and found yourself disapointed on the onboard graphics, and found yourself disapointed yet again with the small case size and low power supply, then this card is great and ready for you.

My PC specs:
AMD Phenom II X$ 820 at 2.80Ghz
4gb of ddr3 memory
windows 7 ultimate
1TB hdd
this card
220w psu
very small case the size of a box

Runs movies beautifully.

How i run games:
MW2 runs maxed out with extra high textures, maxed out resolution, and maxed AA.

Black ops is the same story, although the framrate is lower in some areas.

Mafia 2 runs out at 1280 x 900 with everything on high, it plays beautifully with an excellent framerate.

GTA 4 runs at max resolution, with everything on high except for medium shadows. I get a very good framerate, around 30-35 in most areas. IN fact, in some instances, the framerate is even better than what it is on the 360 and ps3.

ANd of course, counter strike and all those other low end games run maxed

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Lil Card

Pros: Fast, Direct X 11. Small for the powerhouse that it is.
Handles most tasks and games with ease.
HDMI and 3D capability

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The fan does run loud under a load, but thats to be expected as does anything else if it needs extra cooling to keep it running. Handles everything great. Just finished beating the story mode of Prototype and not one bit of lag during the whole game (cept during the real intense and graphic heavy fights)

DOES NOT LIKE TO BE OVERCLOCKED. Windows will become very temperamental amd BSOD's often. But thats ok. Since the card is good enough for me not overclocked, not to much of an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: This is an awesome card. So far, it has handled everything I have thrown at it, from games to high definition movies. I can honestly say, I will never go back to anything less then this card.

Cons: Had to install the PNY drivers instead of going to NVIDIA for the latest drivers.

Other Thoughts: Be sure to put it into at least an ATX Mid Tower, as this card will heat up a bit, though my Zotac card completely burned up from too low a power supply and having no fan on it. As mentioned before, this card has handled just about everything. I can play Elder Scrolls Oblivion on ultra

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for HTPC

Pros: Installed easy. Didn't come with a bunch of garbage on a disc - just loaded the disc, clicked install drivers and I was there. I downloaded the GeForce software from Nvidia online and I was good to go.

The fan is very quiet and not even audible when compared to my quiet Corsair PSU.

The low profile of the circuit board is great for HTPC's since they're usually more cramped. Mine is and with this card being smaller it allows a lot more air flow in my case.

After I loaded the drivers and software I plugged an HDMI cable into it to my 46" HDTV and watched a blu-ray from my computer on my TV with full surround sound and a beautiful 1080p picture. The card does all it was meant to do better than I even hoped it would do it. For gamers it might be wise to go with something bigger/more powerful. For me - editing video and watching video is what I needed and this thing gets an A+.

Cons: None. If I was a gamer I'd probably be disappointed, but that's what I use my Xbox360 for.

Other Thoughts: HTPC's and computers with smaller cases would really benefit from having this smaller sized card in them.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT VIDEO CARD

Pros: easy install, already had the newest drivers downloaded(did not bother with cd) It runs the 2 newest NEED FOR SPEED games quite well along with F1 2010.Set my graphics to medium/high settings. It is very quiet. Almost bought the Assus but this card has a $20 rebate. I would buy this card again with no rebate. I have used Powercolor cards in the past but they just make ATI cards now so I guess that makes me a new PNY customer. my windows scores jumped to 6.7/6.6. I put in this card and 2 gb ram in my Acer slimline, it's like a new computer again. I highly recomend this card to any one who has a slimline case or a computer with a lower powered power supply.

Cons: Not really a con, but I ordered the card, ram and a DVI cable over the holidays. got the video card and ram first and then waited a couple of days for cable. I only have 2 slots, 1 for video card and 1 for my wireless so I had to have DVI cable. I had to stare at new card in the box for 2 days LOL.

Other Thoughts: The only thing holding my computer back now is CPU. I have a 2.5 ghz duo core AMD. Newegg has an oem 2.8 ghz tricore that I think I will order. My MB only supports up to 95 watt SM2+ CPU so this is the best I can get. Not a bad price either because it's oem( no fan or heatsink)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Small enough to fit into my HP Mediacenter PC. Easy to install. No extra power required. Works great! Noise is very reasonable compared to another PNY card I bought and returned because of the noise.

Cons: Software included only had Direct x9...not 11 like I thought. Just a misunderstanding on my part.

Other Thoughts: If you have space constraints this card is great!

5 out of 5 eggsCost Effective Choice

Pros: Price, memory size, quiet

Cons: Drivers on disk were out of date, but a quick download from the chip manufacturers site solved that

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to use in a HTPC, and I wanted HDMI output. I was easy to install, and does the job well so far. It does not generate excessive heat, and is quiet. A good choice for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsBest current low profile video card

Pros: -Low profile
-quiet
-low temps
-dx11
Perhpas the best HTPC or low profile video ared availble.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Bought this for my friend who is half blind. He doesn't and can't really leave the house and pretty much sits in front of a computer screen all day. He plays lots of games and even plays secondlife, and has done so on a 8400gm video card for almost 2 years. One day when I went over to visit, he was really excited because he got Star Wars: the Force Unleashed 2, and it was kinda sad, he was getting around 5-10 fps...SO for xmas I decided to get him the best video card I possibly could that would fit his case. After MUCH research, I found that the GT 430 was the best option to go with. I looked at the 210 and 220 nvidia cards, but they do not really compare as far as performance is concerned, although much cheaper...they aren't worth it. As far as performance goes, I was blown away with this card and so was he. It truly was like night and day in terms of performance increase, and the card help speed up his system overall, by taking load off the cpu. Best purchase I ever made XD

5 out of 5 eggsNice card for price

Pros: Low profile card, nice video increase over on board or 9000 series card. Can play most games on max.

Cons: Fan can be very loud at times. Do not plan on over clocking this card. It will not handle it.

Other Thoughts: Overall a good card for the average gammer.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card for the Price

Pros: This is a great card for the price (under $80). No problems or conflicts at all. Low Power card (220-250 watt power supply). Extremely quiet. I actually opened the case again to make sure the fan was running.

Cons: My only "con" would be on NewEgg. For some reason my order was stuck in "Processing" for 5 days. I ordered the card on Wednesday, but my order didn't process until late Saturday night. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal, but I paid extra for overnight shipping hoping it would arrive in time for the weekend. I didn't get the card until Tuesday!
So all in all, it took an entire week to get a video card that was in stock and had next day shipping. I'm not too worried about it since this is the first time I had any problems with NewEgg.

Still gave the card 5 eggs, since the order has nothing to do with the card itself.

Other Thoughts: I needed a low power video card for my PC, mainly because I didn't want to buy/upgrade the power supply as well. I searched for about 2-3 weeks for something decent until I found this one. I checked some of the benchmark tests and while it was middle of the road on most tests, it was being compared to much higher cards. Considering this only needs a power supply of about 220-250 watts, this mops the floor with the other low power cards.

5 out of 5 eggsImpressive Card

Pros: I'm an average gamer and somewhat of a graphics junky. I am completely satisfied with the performance of this card. Portal 2 ran highest settings the entire time without a hick up. Witcher 2 and crysis run at high settings... absolutely amazing for the price. Highest Temp I've seen it run at is 66 C. Idles at 30C. Did not overclock it.

Cons: Doesn't run Witcher 2 and crysis on ultra/very high. But for the price what can you expect. Graphics are stunning to me at just high anyway.

Other Thoughts: The card runs quiet and cool. Low profile. Really just a great low budget card if your looking to game.

5 out of 5 eggsI'm Impressed & Thrilled !!!

Pros: I went from an OEM Nvidia82500GT (512MB) that went south. The economy dictates I must look for a "bargain". With that, I always know where to look-HERE. $20. less than B.Buy-That's right $89.99 vs. $69.99 & then there's the $20. REBATE...I swear, along with the new Roswell 530W PS-my HP SHINES. I do see faster rendering times and load times on everything. My HD streems from Netflix& BD moves r AWESOME. well worth the $$. $2.99 shipping was CHEEPER than driving + Tax had i bought it from B-Buy. I didn't care for ANYTHING CompUseless had in fact, their tech told me MY HP would NOT recognize a ver.2 PCI16 Video card. It DOES & Sherman (the sales geek)is DUMB ! I call 'em as i see 'em !!! Get this card.

Cons: My 1st time waiting for a rebate w/ NewEgg. I'm Not worried.

Other Thoughts: Quality & a Huge $ savings THANK YOU NewEgg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Works as advertised. It's a fantastic upgrade over my old gpu. It was a little difficult to install, be only because it's been a long time since I've installed a graphics card. It uses less power than similarly beefy

Cons: Only weird thing, is that the targeted window become black, when it seems to be loading up something.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card to beef up older tech

Pros: Excellent value when it's around $45 (with free shipping) on sale / with rebate...less ok value at $70-$80. Very nice card for beefing up older low-profile SFF PC's.

Cons: I would not choose to pay $80, or even $70, for it but am more than happy to get another one or three at a net of $45 each.

Other Thoughts: Even though the PNY specs say this card needs at least a 300 watt PSU, I've installed this card in multiple HP 8000 Elite SFF's running the stock HP 240 watt PSU's and it doesn't even break a sweat.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the money

Pros: This has turned out to be a great card for what I needed. To be sure, there are more powerful cards out there for not much more money. But for $44 (after rebate), this is a great card for a system with limited "resources". I have a small form factor "proprietary" computer, with a 240W power supply (cannot upgrade), and not a lot of amps on the 12V rail (18?). I needed a low profile card with a very stingy power requirements. While this card states it needs a 300W, my calculations told me that my system, with this card, would be using under 200W at ~90% load. I figured $44 is not a lot to risk. End result: running great for 2+months. Overclocking a bit using MSI, no problems there (800/1600 with MC @ 800 - not pushing it). Runs Skyrim and ME3 at Med-High no prob (@ 1368x720, w/ anti and aniso 2x).

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you need a card that has a low power drain and can run the latest games at a decent resolution, then this is a solid card for the $$. Don't expect all the eye candy and max resolution.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card, great cost!

Pros: I was looking for a card that would work well with my design programs and my gaming. This is it. Plays Mass Effect 3 on max settings at 1920x1080 with no issues at all. Don't expect it to be a beast, though. Alan Wake runs smoothly but on lower settings.

Cons: The only con is the heat but that's not the card's fault. My case is very small and poorly designed (if you have the chance, build your own computer, don't buy it already built). The only PCI slot I have is placed on the bottom of the case so the card's cooling fan is less than an inch from the wall. If you have a small case, check to make sure you can vent properly or buy an external fan to tack onto the closest vent.

Other Thoughts: This isn't Newegg's problem but when UPS delivered my card they dropped the box off in the rain without a plastic cover (I understand it's standard for them to use a plastic cover in the rain) and they didn't knock on the door or anything. We spent the entire evening (the deliver time for our UPS drivers falling in this time-frame) next to the door they delivered it to and never heard the drop-off. The box sat in the rain all night. I'm lucky it didn't get to the card.

5 out of 5 eggsCool & Quiet

Pros: Runs cool & quiet. A previous card (OEM Dell ATI low-profile) had a noisy fan, so I had replaced that with a Sparkle 9500 GT 1GB passive (fanless), but this GT 430 fan is just as quiet with a more modest heat sink. So plenty of air space between it and next PCI card (2 slots away, see Cons); whereas the humongous heat sink on the Sparkle 9500 GT was practically kissing that card.

Downloaded drivers from Nvidia. Removed 9500 GT drivers from computer & shut down; restarted with card installed (reverts to VGA of course) but internet connection off (to prevent auto-search for drivers), and manually installed downloaded drivers. Worked immediately without problems. May work fine off included disc, too, but I'm paranoid I guess.

Cons: In my Dell Vostro 220 mini tower, just barely blocks next PCI card slot, but only by thickness of circuit board itself, so leaves plenty of cool air space next to the GT 430 fan. Second PCI slot from graphics card is perfectly usable (I have a small modem card there for fax).

Other Thoughts: Don't play games, just office/photo/video stuff. Hoped for a graphics boost, but clearly the lag is system, not graphics card (upgraded to 64-bit Windows 7 from 32-bit VISTA). But much of my software is 32-bit, hence still runs a second or two slower to open those in emulation mode post upgrade. Ah well. Prefer this card over 9500 GT for my system, anyway: better fit for my case, and my WEI is now balanced across the board (430 GT = 6.7; the 9500 GT was 4-something).

Sent the Sparkle to my son, for whom it now outshines the rest of his components, so we're all happy.

5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck, #theEND

Pros: This card will achieve everything One could ask for movies and streaming video. When playing BF3 it will run a medium settings and resolution, just enough to get the job done without straining your eyes. Smooth and even gaming without spending hundreds.

When you don't need all of the 96 processes it will clock itself all the way down to conserve power.. just perfect.

Cons: No SLI support, I'd like to run two of these. That would equate to 2 GB of GDDR3 and 192 processes.

Monster value!

Other Thoughts: I've used PNY cards for 3D modeling in my drafting career and they just don't quit, ever. Those cards run multiple widescreen monitors flawlessly I could only hope the best from the rest of their products, and PNY really delivers with this card. If you like to do a little bit of everything on a budget, as I do (BF3 went on sale, custom built computers, ect.), then this is the perfect card for your current or next budget build.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Mid-End Video Card

Pros: I've been beating this thing up with movies, D3, BF3 and no tweaking or overclocking. The Antec 300 case would undoubtedly handle the airflow I would need if I did tweak this card, but I honestly don't feel it is necessary.

When I was drafting we used PNY for multiple displays and 3D rendering, this was my only experience until this little gem came along on sale. When you don't need the power it will clock all the way down to conserve power +1

Cons: Not a darn thing.

Other Thoughts: I'd like to play BF3 on Ultra High settings and this card is the perfect Mid-End at this price and specs. Nothing to complain about here, I just need to shell out more cash next time.. STILL NOT COMPLAINING!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy

Pros: It was easy to install. This is my first graphic card installation. Upgraded my HP Pavilion p6616f-b PC with no problems. Windows 7 (64 bit) detected the card right away. I also had no problems with dual monitor. Windows experience increased from 3.3 to 6.6. Great buy with $20.00 rebate. Instructions which were included were easy to follow, like changing the bios setting.
Delivery was fast with UPS.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I am so happy being able to install this graphic card. Now I can watch Directc2pc. It is quiet and I did not have to use the low profile kit.

Cons: None I can think of, hopefully will last a long time.

Pros: Everything looks absolutely stunning on the screen. I did not realize how much a different graphics card could make on the same screen. I was very pleasantly surprised by this.

Cons: Seems I got the dreaded “Display Driver Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver Version xxx.xx stopped responding and has successfully recovered.” with this Nvidia cards. I won’t dock an egg because this seems to affect the entire spectrum of Nvidia cards and as far as I have found out, the cause is not known so I won’t blame the product.

Pros: Quiet and small. 6.6 WEI.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome little card.

Pros: Fits in the ML03 HTPC case, very cool and plays blu-rays to perfection. The fan is very silent.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I used this for an HTPC to play 7.1 audio with 1080P video to my 60inch TV through HDMI. Works great!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: I'm using this in a HTPC as a replacement for the on-board Radeon HD 6310. Radeon which was causing video playback stuttering problems and after trying every iteration of driver revision I could find, I gave up on the on-board GPU.

I selected this card because it has one of the few chipsets that can bitstream Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS-MA HD. Once installed the stuttering problems disappeared.

I wanted a low profile card since it was going in a small mini-ITX case and wouldn't have a lot of room. This card can handle a 1:1 .m2ts BluRay rip while bitstreaming HD Audio. You can't complain about that for <$75.

Cons: It isn't passively cooled, but I knew that when I purchased the card. But the fan is quiet. From where I sit in the room 10' away, I can't hear it at all.

Other Thoughts: ASRock E350M1
PNY GeForce GT 430
40GB OCZ Vertex 2
APEX MI-008 Black Steel Mini-ITX Tower
G.SKILL 2GB PC3 8300 RAM

Pros: Great performance for everyday tasks at 1080p resolution. I'm told by my roommate that it handles WOW very high levels with no problems what-so-ever.

HDMI with sound to monitor speakers works great. No known heat issues.

Cons: None that I've run into.

Other Thoughts: Haven't tried any really intense games myself, but it handles older games at 1080p resolution great.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Cheap Card

Pros: Great step up from on-board graphics. I love that it has an actual HDMI port on it instead of a mini HDMI, made for an easy hook up to my monitor. Set up couldn't have been simpler. The $20 rebate sold me.

Cons: The mounting bracket was bent in the box, but not bad enough that I couldn't bend it back into shape and install it. No other cons so far.

Other Thoughts: Overall I'm satisfied. This card was my first upgrade to my recently purchased Dell Inspiron 620, also purchased here on Newegg. Don't mistake it for a high end card, it's not. But it beats the hell out of Intel HD Graphics 2000. Can't beat the $44 price tag.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Entry Level Graphics Card

Pros: Can't hear the fan at all! Completely silent.

Runs everything I threw at it perfectly with no lag:
Left 4 Dead 2 (High Settings)
Mass Effect 2 (High Settings)
Grand Theft Auto 4 (Medium Settings)
Civilization 5 (High Settings)
Civilization 4 (High Settings)
Alpha Protocol (High Settings)

Cons: None thus far!

Other Thoughts: This card is perfect for anyone who wants an entry level graphics card that will run just about anything. I have been looking for a card for the past 2 months, and for the money, this is the best entry level card I could find.

5 out of 5 eggsFits in my small case acer desktop.

Pros: I got this card after doing some research for a card that would fit in my small acer aspire AX3910-U4022 desktop.the card went in quite easily and windows 7 did the rest.I did not use the install disk as others said it has outdated drivers.even though the card states a minum 300w power supply I have hade no problems with my acers 220w.this card made my windows score go up from 3.4 to 5.9 and is 10x better then the weak intel integrated graphics.also my acer came with a wifi card installed and this card fit in my pci express slot with my wifi card not getting in the way.anyone with a small desktop and loe power supply should consider this card.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsBang / Buck Ratio

Pros: If you have stopped to read about VC at this price point you must already have conceded that you are not going to get the UltraMegaBackFlip9000GTX. However, what you do get with the GT430 is a whole lot of bang for your buck. It does everything it says it does and it does them well. Took my WEI from 5.2 to 6.6 in graphics. I now run WoW all settings high with water on ultra at 40-70+ fps w/o incident and I am very impressed and pleased.

Cons: For this price, I cant produce any complaints.

Other Thoughts: One day the part of my personality that is a mega 12 fan tower building mouth breather will surface and this card will simply not suffice. Until then, at this price point you can't go wrong.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat entry video card

Pros: I am using this card on an Ubuntu 12.04 system with an ASUS Crosshair V
Formula AM3+ AMD 990FX Motherboard. I've seen some other Geforce on-board
controllers fail miserably (some older models). But this board
performs well for what I need. It's inexpensive. And - this is the best
part - Newegg worked with me when I ordered a second identical board and
couldn't use it. So kudos to Newegg and their RMA department for that.

Cons: None. But remember I don't use this board for heavy video processing.

Other Thoughts: If you want to run Nvidia Twinview, be sure you get a single board that
can drive mulitple monitors. I made the mistake of assuming that two
separate boards would do the same thing. I was wrong.

I don't know if a pair of SLI compliant boards tied together would work
for this. I saw some hint of this out there, but was never able to find
a definitive answer one way or the other. This (reviewed) board doesn't
support SLI, btw.

Anyone looking for DOA and MTBF data: both boards I received were in good
working order. My first board is still running in the machine after
about two months. I run BOINC 24x7, so the GPU is busy nearly all the time.
The GPU temperature hangs out in the 60(C) range. So I have to give
that board high praise for hanging in there as designed.

Pros: Quick install. Form factor.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: Great HTPC card. Low power consumption. Comes with different brackets for low profile cases. Very quiet fan. Will bitstream HD audio through HDMI. The Nvidia drivers are solid.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Amazing upgrade from my original integrated card and its outstanding performance for a card with this price. I can run most games on full with no lag

Cons: Nvidia says that this card is "Not Recommended" for Dead Island. It could just be that I have to play on low or medium settings but im too scared to throw $50 at it if im not sure that it will work. I really want to play this game and I dont have enough money to buy a console yet.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good Graphics card,

Pros: Low profile compatible design. Solid NVIDIA drivers (do not install from CD, download latest driver from their site, you cannot go wrong). The card itself for processing is untouchable, I was looking at another brand that uses A*I drivers and I was more impressed with this card. People look at stream processors and think wow they list more, but it is almost like comparing AMD to Intel technology in Ghz, it is a lose-lose. My WEI score went from 3.0 to 6.6 after installing this baby. HDMI ouput is very great and stable, Mail in rebate from PNY for $20.00 is also very good, on top of the $10.00 off promo code from newegg brought my end price to $39.99 for this card, you will not find a better deal for the money than this.

Card is for an HTPC setup (HD PVR) and I will vouche that your cpu power will be like it is not even in use with this card, and the RAM will not use more than 50MB, the GPU processing power is just awesome and no glitching, GET THIS CARD, HANDS DOWN BEST FOR THE BUCK

Cons: Installation CD is useless, drivers must be downloaded from NVIDIA website if you want optimal performance and HDMI port to work correctly. There really isn't anything bad to say about this card it is exactly as advertised and will definitely handle anything related to HTPC that you throw at it.

Other Thoughts: Mail in rebate is tricky, the box does not come with any info, you need to come back to Newegg and click on the mail in rebate link on the product page to print out the form, cut out the UPC and serial number from the box it comes in and tape it to the rebate form along with your invoice and packing slip to be safe. Do it QUICKLY because like many other mail-in-rebates, they need to get done in a timely manner otherwise you will miss out on the $20.00.

I cannot say too many good things about this card, it is by far the best bang for the buck, and will outperform some $200+ cards on performance. (remember I said some, not all) haha. But overall it is a good investment for an HTPC setup if you plan to watch tv through a hauppauge it is a good idea to go with this.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Upgrade

Pros: I bought this card while looking for a card that would increase performance for my system. I would not count this card as one to be considered for high end use, but for the price, it has served as a great upgrade to the GeForce 9500 GT that I had before this one.
With the current offer, $49.99 with mail-in-rebate, this card offers faster clock speeds, three times the number of stream processors, with the same memory interface (although a faster type of memory) as a new 9500 GT.

Cons: I was a little concerned during installation how the card would fit relative to other slots on the motherboard. It installed without issue, but being low-profile, it came very close to resting on another motherboard slot. Nothing to decrease the rating the card, just something to consider.

Other Thoughts: This card fit the bill quite well for what I needed. Great price, and great performance so far for activities up to casual gaming. Not a high performance card, but I wasn't looking for one. Thanks Newegg!

Pros: Great card all around, I'm running MW3 on ultra without a problem, sky-rim on high. I installed the card and windows took care of finding the new drivers. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a nice entry to mid level graphics card, and does not have a lot of room power or money to work with.

Cons: It was too big for my case, (i have a very small acer aspire) so i had to do a bit of modifying to get it to fit in.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: - Affordable
- Compact (slim + half-height)
- Cool + Quiet
- Low energy
- HD video + sound
- Solid gaming

I was looking for a GPU that could handle some casual gaming for <1 year until I moved it into a slim HTPC build. So far it has met expectations...

Cons: There are almost always some cons so I will update as they arise.

Other Thoughts: So far everything has gone smoothly - even the HDMI worked straight out the box. No issues with the stock drivers included but you ought to always download the latest drivers on first run anyways.

5 out of 5 eggsRift Rocks

Pros: Bought this card to play WoW on my machine because the onboard video just didn't have the power, with the graphics set to good and water shading on medium I get 60 - 70 fps, decided to try Rift on this card and am getting 50 - 60 fps, so this card make rift rock on my machine. Was easy to replace the mount plate with the low profile one and with an adapter for DVI to VGA didn't have to use two slots, just removed the vga cord from the card.

Cons: No cons as i didn't have to use up two slots and DVI to VGA adapters are easy to find and purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Mid level card

Pros: Looks good in the case.
Easy to install.
Runs the wife's 20 in. HP Monitor no problem.
Took the Windows Exp. From 3.8 to 6.6 on the Graphics
Not overly Expensive.

Cons: It didn't jump in when I opened the box.

Other Thoughts: This card works great in my wife's HP Pavilion p6616f
w/a HP 20 in monitor. Played several HD Movie trailers and they looked good.
Downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia
Be sure you have a power supply large enough to run this card (300 watts Min.) I also had to upgrade P/S for this card,(Antec Neo Eco 520C, prefect fit) HP Pavilion p6616f uses a 250 watts supply Kinda small for a Windows 7 64 bit if you ask me. Th P/S upgrade is not a neg. to the card, just to HP for not giving much room to expand. The onboard Graphics would crash when we loaded more than a couple of pics at a time.
Newegg is Great.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty Good

Pros: My expectations were not off the charts for a $50 GPU, but I can definitely tell a difference. Very good entry point for those looking to add a GPU to their system instead of relying on the onboard graphics processor. I am sure I could get some truly spectacular results with a $300-400 GPU, but this works just fine for me. Has helped clear a lot of "blurries" out of FSX for me.

Cons: None, really.

Other Thoughts: The disc will load a driver, it just may not be the most current one. Just go to NVIDIA's webiste and download the newest one. Very simple and easy fix. Not a con for sure. Took 5 min.
