1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Looks nice.

Cons: Can't seem to make it work. Powers up, drivers install, plugged in devices, devices receive power but are not recognized (both front and rear ports), removed drivers and reinstalled - still no joy. This reminds me of the touchy i386 days and the huge issues with drivers and Win3.1. And yes, I have downloaded the drivers (from two locations) as the included CD is corrupted. After an hour or so for what should be a 5 minute job, I have no more time to fool with it.

This particular machine is Win7 Pro SP2 x64. RMA cost vs. part cost is prohibitive, so I now have a pricy Xmas tree ornament.

Other Thoughts: I have used other Orico products and have found them quite satisfactory. But I'm very disappointed with this one.

4 out of 5 eggsSaved Me From a MB Upgrade

Pros: No that I would have bought a new MB just because the older one didn't have a 20 pin port for the USB3's on the case, but it was somewhat disappointing to realized that. This card was the savior. The additional ports plus the ability to not have to reach them on on-going basis because my case USB3's are now active proved worthy. The card itself is solid and worked with both the Windows 7 and OSX that I have loaded on this PC with no conflicts or errors

Cons: The included manual in chinglish is worthless as was the disk which both my BD and DVD player gave errors in reading. The website that is included on the documentation is in Chinese only, though a little google search led me to the US site to download the drivers. One egg knocked off for that

Other Thoughts: Haven't done any testing and probably won't bother. I now have a total of 10 USB3 ports that I'll probably never use altogether.

5 out of 5 eggsPVU#-502I Monster USB3.0 PCI

Pros: Got me out of a tight spot on my mother board (Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK) with only one 20 pin USB 3.0 port. Add on of this card worked great for the second 20 pin as well as adding 5 more 3.0 outputs to my computer. Using it on A Thermaltake Level 10 GT Case. Total USB's now on case 13 3.0s and 2 2.0s if you need this many!

Cons: Had to re download drivers for this card. Ones on disk that come with it didn't work.

Other Thoughts: Good price.

5 out of 5 eggsBoom Bang Thank You 3.0

Pros: Could not be easier, installed on MB and plugged in to a power plug, Booted up and Windows 8.1 Pro picked it right up and installed Microsoft Via 3.0 USB drivers while I watched. I did not need disk or have to download anything. Tons fast with 3.0 externals over plugging them into my 2.0 ports.

Cons: No free beer coasters in box.

2 out of 5 eggsNot worth it.

Pros: Works when it works.

Cons: - Causes issues with installing Windows 7. You must remove this card first.
- Installing drivers is not as professional and noob friendly.
- Hardware compatibility issues.

Other Thoughts: Meh. Buy American.

5 out of 5 eggsORICO PVU3-502I Monster USB3.0 PCI

Pros: Works great as add-on card, makes your old motherboard USB 3.0 ready for those looking to upgrade their case with USB 3.0 Connector.

Cons: you have to download software from disc to make this add-on card to work well, windows will detect but not will not work. It's not really a con, so make sure you use the disc it comes with.

Other Thoughts: Lucky I got it, now it's out of stock? worth an upgrade for those who needs 3.0 USB access.

1 out of 5 eggsRuined 3 Flash Drives

Pros: NONE.

Cons: It fried 4 flash drives immediately upon insertion, trying to get it to work in 2 computers. This model is no longer offered. I've sent an email to ORICO for a remedy. Since this product is no longer offered, I cannot inform people to avoid this from happening to them.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased other models of Orico USB3 Adapters that work fine.

3 out of 5 eggsSorta OK

Pros: More USB ports! You can never have too many. MOLEX power connecter delivers juice to devices.

Cons: I'm not sure if it's THIS product, but I'm only able to achieve USB 2.0 speed. The MOBO is one of the first AM3 boards, mid 2009, BIOS is up to date. Been unable to figure it out, but I'm pretty sure it's not the card. It's either a PEBKAC or compatibility problem. Either way, I haven't figured it out, but everything is as it should be, except the speed.

Other Thoughts: Just wish I could figure out the problem. If it's hardware, driver, Martians, registry. I wish FireWire had caught on. I haven't chased it too hard since there's not much that can actually use 5 Mbps.
