5 out of 5 eggs*4* SATA plugs

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: When it says 2 SATA connections, it means 2 strands SATA connectors, each with 2 plugs. I ordered some MOLEX to SATA connectors because I thought it wouldn't have enough, but I was pleasantly surprised.

80+ Bronze efficiency, perfect for a HTPC/Steambox.

Cons: None yet.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: 80 PLUS Bronze 430w
modular cables for drives/peripherals
Quiet
Low price

Cons: Bare minimum of modular cables (4)
sata plugs are too close together.

Other Thoughts: I had a 400w Antec HCG (OEM=Seasonic) in my nMedia case HTPC. An excellent PSU, but its multitude of fixed cables were stuffed under the BDR drive. The CX430M is smaller and I only need to use the two sata power cables (just two plugs on each). One connected to the SSD OS drive and the 2TB AV-GP. The other needed a sata (F-M) 6" extension cable to reach the BDR drive and a small SSD for programs. This PSU is perfect for my use and the 400 HCG went into my wife's PC, much quieter than the original Earthwatts 380 that it replaced.
If I receive the rebate, this PSU only cost a mere Lincoln!

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME!!!

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Excellent power supply which is replacing an expensive Antec which quit working after 5 short years. Beautiful appearance & modular cables make this a real keeper. This unit had a rebate in the form of a credit/debit card which I received in just 3 weeks. WOW, unheard of in the rebate world. I used/spent it at the local Walbaums, no problems!

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Was going to repair previous power supply until I read that it is literally a fire starter.

5 out of 5 eggsOkay cheap PSU

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This is a decent cheap PSU that offers modular cabling. This is not the most efficient, nor is it the highest quality PSU out on the market, but for the price (I paid $24 after mail in rebate) it can't be beat. It is currently doing duty in my new HTPC build and has no problems what so ever.

Cons: This thing doesn't come with the largest assortment of cables but again, for the price.

Other Thoughts: This has been reviewed in several places, JonnyGuru for one, and they have found that they use lower quality capacitors than some other brands, however for the price it is a capable powersupply.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid!

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -Size
-Semi-Modular
-Color
-80 Bronze or whatever
-Price
-Quiet

I bought this PSU because of the price thinking I would need it eventually. NEVER did I expect it to replace my Ultra x3 1000w Modular PSU... but it did.

Short story - had a big computer with lots of power, got a new processor then I build an ITX with more performace than the big tower but my old PSU (1000w ultra) would not fit. So I steal the CS430M from my HTPC (which had a 1045T in it and sucked) and slapped it in the ITX build with my new i5 4670k and guess what, it runs!!!

Cons: -No Badge
-Semi-Modular

I would have loved to see these two things, not going to lose an egg over it though.

Other Thoughts: This thing is running my build and I am happy with it. I have had luck with every Corsair product I have had. New or Used.

RIG:
Windows 7 x64
i5 4670k
MSI GTX 760 HAWK edition (1111Mhz 1185Mhz boost)
ADATA 4GB Ram (its a gaming machine what?)
BitFenix Prodigy (White)
Gigabyte B85N mITX
HDD 250 GB who cares
and second HDD 320 GB holds games

5 out of 5 eggsNice

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Using this to power an AMD A10-5800K, ssd, mechanical drive, 4GB ram. No issues whatsoever and easily installed in a small case using only 1 of the optional power wires.

Cons: I do not like how the 4+4 wire is attached. I only needed one of the 4 power plugs, but the second is wired in such a way that makes it more difficult than needed to use it. Why not separate wires, yo?

Other Thoughts: For the price, a top of the line brand name, modular, bronze psu for under $50? <-- yes.

5 out of 5 eggsWorked Great.

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: *Used this PSU in a build that has integrated graphics, so I didn't need much power. It worked perfectly from the start, and hasn't had any issues thus far.

*Modular!

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggscx430m

This review is from: CORSAIR CXM series CX430M 430W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: modular
efficient
quiet

Cons: only "con" i could think of was the cpu power cable was super long using this in an itx aluminum case it was a pain to manage it.

Other Thoughts: its better to have long cables than too short i suppose, so many people use the lower power psu's in huge cases.
