5 out of 5 eggsSuperb Power Supply

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM650 650W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This item is Corsair quality, and even though they are not famous for their power supplies, they have stepped up their game in this department recently. This is a gold certified power supply, and at 650 watts it offers good power level for low energy consumption. Extremely quiet. Barely makes noise even when fans are running on heavy load.

Cons: No cons yet.

Other Thoughts: I got this item on sale, which certainly upped the value. If you can get it on sale, it is definitely worth the money.

Cons: -Cheap

-1st PSU wouldnt power system so i RMA'd it
-2nd PSU nearly caught on fire. It got EXTREMELY hot and started smoking VERY VERY badly and shocked me when unplugging it so it didnt catch fire
-DO NOT WASTE TIME WITH THIS PIECE OF TRASH ITEM!

3 out of 5 eggsCould be better/Could be worse. Better than most, But make sure to read real close

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM650 650W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -Consistent Power
-Great Design
-Good Price

Cons: Corsair lacks longevity, I have had to RMA two of the PSU's. The fans just dont last long enough for my tastes. While 5 years is more than ideal for most, its not for me. I expect quality components at the price you pay for Corsair Products. Corsair has always boasted about quality and performance. My recent dealings with Corsair was just average, the customer services reps took days to respond and at the end of the day I felt like they could have done more to assist me as the customer. I know there is a thing such as the bottom line but there is something as well as making sure you have a quality product for long standing customers.

Other Thoughts: Shop around you can find better for your money, or just buy this, you know it will work. Dont expect any thrills.

2 out of 5 eggswas good till...

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM650 650W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Worked great on a minimum requirement of. Gtx 770 16 gb ram i5 4670k rog impact.

Cons: Upgraded pc to new Skylake processor 16 GB of DDR4 memory at 3000 MHz gtx 980 ti i7 6700k Maximus hero VIII
Runs pc in graphic intensive games for About an hour then it can no longer handle the power needed to keep the rig running. Frame rate of games drops to unplayable levels. Tested the graphics card in a friends rig with his seasonic 660 PSu platinum rated works perfectly fine. 650 PSU should run this rig perfectly fine but this one just can't hang. I don't know if my PSU is dieing or what. But need to buy a new one now. Won't be one of these.

Other Thoughts: Spend more money on a PSU don't buy this one.

3 out of 5 eggsWhat happenned to Corsair?

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM650 650W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Functioning PSU.

Cons: My PC started Blue Screening, but since it was 33 days since I purchased it, it wasn't eligible for a return. I called Newegg customer service and they offered to let me exchange it, which I appreciated, but I elected to send it back to Corsair for a refund since I'd already bought another Corsair PSU (which is good btw).
Corsair initially said I could return it, so I shipped it. But when i called to see if they received the unit, the Customer Service rep started blaming me in the rudest way possible for waiting 33 days and said I wasn't eligible for a refund. I told him they already agreed to it and sent him the receipt for both the original and the new corsair PSU. He said he'd submit the request to a supervisor and said it might take some time for an approval.
3 MONTHS LATER the request is still being processed. In fact, at every interaction, I've found Corsair customer service to be dismissive, unprofessional, and unresponsive. You would think that Corsair would have well-worn procedures to process a return that doesn't require some special approval. I would have been better off taking up Newegg on their offer.

Other Thoughts: Not loving corsair customer service right now

1 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM650 650W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: It was great when I receive it, but today when I installed the power supply to the PC it didn't turn on @ all. No power from the power supply.

Cons: It was great when I receive it, but today when I installed the power supply to the PC it didn't turn on @ all. No power from the power supply.

Other Thoughts: I just felt like telling someone cause I know that my return policy expired.
