5 out of 5 eggspure joy

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM750 750W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: threw this guy into my test bench. ran 12 hrs at idle min. use. 6 hrs on game bench marks like bf4 and ffxiv and more. stayed cooled and efficiently used energy. barely booted fan. it was also open so I expect it to spin a little more closed in.

Cons: the plugings suck to put in and take out, however there shouldn't be much of that after it is installed.

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM750 750W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Looks nice, feels very hefty.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Included in a build for a customer and he loves how quiet it stays. Still holding up after 3 months but I have no experience in day to day use with it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome power supply!

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM750 750W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Just picked this one up last week from newegg for $119.00 bucks. Very good quality build I must say. The fan that comes inside it is really nice, looks heavy duty as well. Under load the fan turns on, but it's not loud at all. Stays very cool, I put my hand on the back of it while gaming under heavy load and I barely felt any heat at all. The cables are really nice and flat, very easy to route and look great in my case. They are black, but I never look in my case even though it looks very neat and clean inside. Powers my R9 280X with no problems at all. Well worth the price.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a better quality power supply that's flawless, looks good, provides solid power to all of your devices, stays cool, comes with everything you need, then get this power supply. I am very picky about fan noise and this power supply has none.

Pros: Supplies power, efficient, quiet

Cons: cables suck, not much airflow

Other Thoughts: It gets a little hot sometimes, luckily I have pretty good airflow through my case. Cables were hard to install. Otherwise pretty satisfied.

1 out of 5 eggsNot real happy.

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM750 750W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Looks nice. Modular configuration is quite nice. Finish is very well done.

Cons: This was a disappointment. Last winter it kept the office warm in spring, it was toasty. This summer, it was punctuated by black outs as it gradually went south and possibly damaged a few components. It finally quit in August. Video card failed just before last crash.

Other Thoughts: Used several components in this computer by Corsair. All look nice, are defective. It's hard to believe.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellency

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM750 750W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -zero-rpm fan mode is a blessing, A+ feature

-looks great and the yellow "RM" and strip down the exposed side in your case can be colored in with small marker or paint if you want it to match your case... or just print out a new label.

thought it was worth mentioning that it is a straight paper and not glossy so you shouldn't have a problem recoloring if you want.

-Absolutely silent, no coil whine, no ticking, fan barely ever turns on, I think I've only witnessed it one time during heavy gaming but the fan does work, only when it needs to however. (I'm sure this does wonders for the fan life and PSU lifetime in general).

-Fully modular, making cable routing and case cleanup/airflow not only a breeze, but actually enjoyable. If I can help it, I'll be going fully modular exclusively as this was my first FM PSU and I can't believe I didn't have one of these sooner.

-Plenty of power, of course. No failures, installation was smooth, is great for mid-most high range PC builds unless you're running dual-triple cards and depending on your other hardware, this PSU *may* also handle a slice of that.

-Fan looks thick/of a very sturdy material, big improvement over my old PSU fan which quit after a solid year or so.

-General build quality is sturdy, and presents a really secure feeling when popping it in. I had no doubts in my mind when I got my hands on this, it is a quality piece of hardware from a quality manufacturer.

Cons: Nada

Other Thoughts: -Just to be picky, I would have liked for all of the cables to be braided, as I found the cable material a bit unforgiving in terms of sharp turns/forming it to fit where you need it to.

Even some lower quality braiding would have given me more confidence when I was feeding and moulding cables throughout my case and under/around my acrylic panels.

Still, they seem of well enough quality, no real problems and very satisfied with the product.

4 out of 5 eggsGood and easy to work with

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM750 750W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: 750 watts is enough for a good gaming rig & SLI/Crossfirex; Modular cables make for a neater case, Dead Silent

Cons: When playing a game or using a program that creates load, the fan turns on and is pretty loud but isnt bad

Other Thoughts: So far, this PSU has been a great upgrade for my computer and I haven't had problems with it

5 out of 5 eggsCorsair RM vs. TX

This review is from: CORSAIR RM Series RM750 750W ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Full Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: The RM series has taken the place of the TX series I'm told by Corsair recently. TX is now EOL or end of life.

Cons: None....Great power supply and a great warranty/company to back them up.

Other Thoughts: I noticed the RM vs. HX PSU's don't weight as much. The HX PSU's are very heavy which tells me better quality inside.
