1 out of 5 eggsONLY 2 SATA

Pros: Only normal PSU available for slim cases.

Cons: It has ONLY 2 SATA - not 4 as shows on newegg picture.
So I have to buy 2 4pin to sata adapters. Which with s/h and taxes will bring price for this unit up for $80. Thanks to newegg.

Other Thoughts: Packaging is terrible.
Unit was in box alone - no bubble wrap, foam etc etc - nothing, just some paper around. Hope it still work, will check as soon as I'll get adapters :O(
OEM doesn't mean "hope it will be no DOA"

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Probably would be a good supply...if it worked.

Cons: DOA.

Other Thoughts: Would it really have been that hard to plug it up and check before leaving factory? The defect rate of modern electronics astounds me.

3 out of 5 eggsonly 2 SATA connections?

Pros: Easily fit into my Dell Studio 540s with no issues (except maybe too much excess cabling)

Cons: from the included photos, it looks like there were 4 SATA connections. instead, I only got 2 and now my 2 hard drives sit powered but not my DVD-rom drive. Now I have to find a 4 pin power to SATA adapter. Misleading photo!

3 out of 5 eggsJust another power supply

Pros: Only certified psu I could find for this standard. It's a lot better than the PSU that came with the case.

Cons: A bit on the loud side. I'm sure it would work fine on a desktop pc, but I'm using it inside a media center as an HTPC build. It's a bit louder than the xbox.

Other Thoughts: You don't have many options in this type of psu's, this one isn't horrible.

3 out of 5 eggsQuality control slipping, Tech support non-existant

Pros: Small clean power supply with a good rating.

Cons: DOA. No SeaSonic package or instructions, basically a powersupply shoved in a newegg box

No tech support, you go right to a recorder and they don't call back. Sad, they used to be much better

Other Thoughts: Like many other companies today I believe SeaSonic is slipping. I have used their products in the past and have had good luck (otherwise they would have gotten 1 egg). What is sad about this unit is that it was DOA right out of the newegg box on top of that no manufacture documentation, just a powersupply wrapped in bubble wrap.
There really is no excuse for something that does not work right out of the box (the exception would be shipping damage which this was not). Since this unit would not power up at all obviously someone didn't do their job. Oh well, back to Corsiar, a little more pricy but so far I never had a bad one.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Seasonic reputation. The two station SATA connector worked out perfectly for my build, one HD, and one optical drive.

Cons: Very long 24 pi cable. I am using a very compact HEC Compucase case, fortunately with only one HD, I was able to stuff the extra 24 pin cable into the lower 3.5" drive bay.

Other Thoughts: Time will tell with a power supply.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Powers all my ITX components, including an AMD HD 5570 low profile. No stutters at all, and very quiet.

Cons: It was a little larger than the dimensions on the site. The part where the fan is sticks out about a half inch. If you have an ITX case where the fan side power supply butts right up the mobo, then it won't fit.

Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom X4 925 Deneb 2.8 GHz

4 out of 5 eggsfits a Dell Vostro 200

Pros: Solid feel and construction, mounting holes line up perfectly on a Dell Vostro 200 small form-factor tower. MB, CPU, and SATA power cables plenty long enough.

Cons: The MB and CPU power cables (especially the 4 pin CPU power lead) are VERY long for a PS this size. In fact, given the size of the Vostro 200 case they are really too long and I had to tie-wrap them up. Both SATA power leads are on the same wire (and these are the only two SATA power leads). Luckily, they are far enough apart on the wire and the wire is so long that I was able to power both the HD and the DVD despite the distance between the devices. The traditional 4 pin power leads are surprisingly short. If you actually needed them you would probably have to put extenders on them. Luckily, all I needed were the SATA leads.

Other Thoughts: I would buy this supply again for another Vostro, or for a different machine that needed the TFX size, but only if I either had extenders for the very short traditional power leads or if I did not need the leads. The supply seems well made and is quiet - not sure why some leads are literally 2 feet long and others are more like 8 inches.

4 out of 5 eggsIt does what it says

Pros: It lets me put fast parts in my mini-itx case. It's quiet.

Cons: I had to modify my case (Winsis Wi-12B) because this psu's fan sticks out a bit and pushes against the video card's fan. It's not a big deal, and other 300w tfx psu's are like this. Compared to Newegg's other tfx options, this psu might not have the highest amperage for the +12v rail, but it's good enough for me.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it's pretty nice. It's worth the upgrade. I have an ati hd 5570 video card. I was tempted to get the nvidia gt 9600, but I didn't want to risk it.

4 out of 5 eggs300 watts for dell inspiron 530s (slim tower)

Pros: Everything works and fits great.

Cons: Cords are way longer than id expected..

Other Thoughts: The package came , had protection but it didn't come in a box or anything. Instead it was bubble wrapped pretty well surrounded by a bunch of that green foam like cushion but id prefer the box with some kind of instructions.

Pros: Enough power for my new GPU. Fit in case. Quiet.

Cons: Too much wire.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU for ITX Case

Pros: long power cords as others have mentioned, but depending on your case, you can make do, The fan noise is very low you would have to put your head with in a foot to even hear it, I'm using it in an HTPC, with no issues what so ever.

Cons: The only con I have is the fan sticks out a bit from the main body of the case, and the PSU would over lap the PCI slot by just a hair on the motherboard, rendering the PCI slot it useless, luck for me I actually needed two PSU's, and this works fine in my other HTPC which had a bit more room.

Other Thoughts: I found another PSU, made by IN-Win, similar spec's , 300 watts 80 PLUS Bronze, but it had a wire type fan grill, that also stuck out a bit, but the grill can be removed and it fits fine in my very small HTPC case running a Radeon 5450 GPU, ECS H55 Mini ITX board, with Icore 3-550 CPU.

IF you have a room this PSU is great, but there are a few other options if you run into the same issues with the width of the PSU.

4 out of 5 eggsPSU

Pros: Fit in a Dell 530 I am working on perfectly. Great brand. Never had a problem with Seasonic.
Fast shipping from Newegg as usual.

Cons: I took away 1 star because it does not come with a power cord. Other than that it would be a 5.

4 out of 5 eggsNice, cheap, small, no power cord

Pros: Small, very good reviews and a low price--good combination

Cons: Be aware there is no power cord supplied, yes its OEM, yes its not shown in the pics, but they could have put it in anyway now I have to order one, costs more to ship than its worth.

Other Thoughts: its as stated, but buy a cord

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good Drop In Replacement

Pros: Drop in replacement for an HP Slimline system. Working great, replaced a paltry 220W HP supply to support a better graphics card. Love the fact it is 80+ efficient.

Cons: The wires are stiffer than expected, and the Seasonic did not come with routing netting or any supplies for helping route them like zip ties or tie downs. As you'd expect, internal layout of a slimline PC is tight, so most of the installation time was spent working with the wire bundle (bending it into shape) and trying to figure out how best to route it.

Other Thoughts: Overall an excellent buy, my kid is definitely happy with the more powerful graphics card that this supply supports.

4 out of 5 eggsCables too long for thin mini-itx cases

Pros: Good clean power, quiet fan. More than enough plugs for a small form factor build. More than enough cable length.

Cons: I listed this as a Pro, but in my case this was a negative. I'm using this to replace the power supply in a Winsis Wi-02c. I was able to fit everything in there - had to mod the case a bit because the fan sticks out a bit, but that's normal for this wattage and size. My main problem is that the cables/wires are TOO LONG. I'm having to look into modding/shortening the wires because after stuffing everything in there with the cable bundled tightly with zip ties, any airflow in the case is blocked. Mind you, this isn't the best case for airflow to start with, but the addition of the extra cable length really crowds things up.

4 out of 5 eggsworks great so far

Pros: great fit with Dell slim line computer

Cons: no retail box!

Other Thoughts: Installed a Asus EN210 video card, so decided to repalce the 250W PS with this 300W one. It fits the Dell perfectly and has been working fine for about two weeks now.

The PS comes with just bubble wrap and no retail box, no instruction and no warranty card. Not a big deal, but I thought that I'd let everyone knows.

4 out of 5 eggsgood PSU/does not fit

Pros: Really quiet, efficient PSU.

Cons: Do not correctly fit in my case. See other thoughts

Other Thoughts: I used this unit to replace the built-in PSU in my HTPC case. Even though the sticker in the built-in unit stated it was a TFX PSU, I found out that the SeaSonic one was considerably larger. I didn't check the TFX spec for size but I'm pretty sure that SeaSonic follows the guidelines to the letter. I totally blame my case, the provided PSU and me for not checking beforehand. But the fact is that I had to remove the sole 80mm case fan to make the SeaSonic fit. Also, I could only secure it with one screw instead of 3 and it now barely fit besides my motherboard. My recommendation will be as follow: if you replace an existing unit, please take the time to actually check the size of the PSU you're replacing !!!!

4 out of 5 eggsReally Great So Far!

Pros: A little premature to comment on the performance but I wanted to write about the installation. Fit perfectly in my Dell Inspiron 620 (620s / Slim Tower). All screws fit perfectly, wires were perfect, installed in 10 minutes.

Too bad Dell shipped this system with a horrible 250w power supply that is guaranteed to die.

Cons: None so far.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent and Stable Power Supply

Pros: Well constructed and quality built. Connectors are nicely made. Provided power is clean and voltages are right on. Checked it with an O scope at heavy load, no AC bleed or noise, excellent regulation as well.

Cons: No Power cable, no box, no instructions. Comes wrapped in bubble wrap. Yes I know it's OEM but Seasonic should at least mention this. You loose 1 egg for the omition.

Other Thoughts: This supply would have easily earned 5 stars if the manufacture provided disclosure of what was included.

That aside if you need a good TFX supply that is a true 300 watt unit, bronze certified and at a good price you can't go wrong with this unit.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Perfectly

Pros: Worked perfectly out of the box and has more than enough 12V and SATA power connectors for my needs.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I ordered this power supply as a replacement in my HP Pavilion Slimline s5123w Desktop. The original power supply was 220W. Replacing it with this SeaSonic 300W power supply gave me the power needed to upgrade the on-board video to a GeForce GT220 PCI-E video card.

5 out of 5 eggsReally Good TFX PS

Pros: Easy install. For the money, the best power supply upgrade around for your fancy new mini-micro-computer.

Cons: This product has none as of yet. Quiet and reliable.

Other Thoughts: This coupled with a higher end low profile video card transforms even the lowly mini-tower into a usable gaming rig. Fallout: New Vegas on Ultimate settings without lag or flaw, etc. See also Item No. N82E16814131363

Pros: Perfect OEM replacement for the Dell 530s. The 3 screws that hold the OEM PSU in fits perfectly with this after market PSU. Ample amount of cable length provided with this PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsGood match for Dell Vostro Slim Towers

Pros: It's an exact fit for the Dell Vostro 200 slim. It provides higher amperage and wattage than the ratings on the included Dell PS. While many on the forums said the Dell would handle more than its ratings, as someone who likes specs, this made me more comfortable when installing a new video card. I installed a PNY G210 which is about all you can get into this machine other than a few ATI cards due to the power constraints.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This was an easy install

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb replacement power supply

Pros: Fits perfectly into a Dell Inspiron 546s. Cost less than half of what Dell wanted. Installation was simple and painless - there is enough wire on this thing for two computers, plenty to reach the motherboard in this case, and any other. Supply is quiet, and, more importantly, it works.

Cons: None that I can think of, although it would be nicer if it had more SATA power connectors.

Other Thoughts: The power supply arrived with typical NewEgg speed - it was waiting for me when I came home, the day after I ordered it. Can't beat that. This is an OEM supply, so no pretty box - just a power supply, packed in paper in a NewEgg shipping box.

Pros: Fits and works. As quiet as what it replaced. Comes with a lot of cable. It was easy to install. Installed in a Winsis Wi-02 whose stock PSU burned out after about 16 months.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: If you are using a small case the amount of cabling can make buttoning it up interesting. I wouldn't rate it down for the length of its cables though. Better too much than too little.

And note that this is OEM - it won't come with manuals or in a pretty box.

5 out of 5 eggsTremendous upgrade for HP Slimline

Pros: Factory PSU on my HP Slimline s5360f (220 watt) groaned and whined from day of receipt; it died about six months from computer purchase. Began looking for replacement, initially at HP, and then third-party. Decided to give Newegg a try and found several possible candidates and accidentally discovered this little jewel. It is a drop-in replacement for the original HP power supply. It is a dimensionally perfect replacement with an 80-watt advantage over the original. I'm just tickled with this purchase, and Oh!, BTW, Newegg delivery rocks!!

Cons: Seasonic, lose the excess cabling (way too long).

Other Thoughts: I have noticed with this PSU that the computer is actually running MUCH cooler and quieter than with the original. Could not be happier -- killed the proverbial two birds with one stone, noise and heat. Once again, kudos to Newegg & UPS for a very quick turnaround.

5 out of 5 eggsNice powersupply

Pros: Quiet, cannot hear the PSU at all (my old PSU was super loud compared to this one)
All the qualities I would expect from Seasonic, but a slim PSU design.

Cons: Not exact fit in a Rosewill R379-M case, it looks like the holes should line up from the pictures but it does not. I was lucky to have 1 small washer with a screw to hold in the PSU in the case.

Other Thoughts: Installed this on a Rosewill R379-M case, but I took a huge gamble on getting this because the stock Rosewill PSU went dead and I needed a replacement so I got this one.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in Silverstone LC-11M

Pros: Works great. Fits perfectly in the Silverstone LC-11(M) case.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've gone through two Silverstone power supplies, each of which lasted about two years. After the second one called it quits it seemed like time to look into other options. So far, so good. It was also less expensive than the Silverstone option.

I have read that the LC-04 takes an identical power supply, so this one should work in that case too.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect fit for an HP Pavilion Slimline s5380t

Pros: Very quiet. Ample cable length. Two SATA connectors. And, most importantly, it's a perfect-fit replacement for the costly HP Pavilion Slimline OEM unit.

Cons: Only two SATA connectors. (And what's with two floppy connectors; does anyone use floppies anymore?)

Other Thoughts: I bought an empty HP Pavilion Slimline (s5380t) case and rather than pay the inflated price for an OEM power supply, bought one of these. It snapped right into place as if it were made for it.

One of the mounting screw hole is too tight, breaking screws. Despite this, two screws seem to be enough to hold it in place, as there's a clip on the chassis that slides into the unit to secure it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood so far.

Pros: Purchased this to upgrade the stock 220w psu on a HP Pavilion Slimline s5604f (also put a XFX PVT95GZAFG GeForce 9500 GT low profile card in the unit.) This psu fit perfectly. My motherboard did not have a "micro" 24 pin connector as HP's sometimes do, so it was just a plug and play. Will update if I have longevity issues.

Cons: Not exactly a con, but the wires are extreamly long, at least for my needs. Stuffing them into a slimline case was a bit of a challenge. Still, I'd rather have to much than to little.

Other Thoughts: Pleased so far.

5 out of 5 eggsGood replacement PSU

Pros: Works well, Upgraded by 50 watts, cables were long enough to reach all accessories and motherboard. Cheaper than trying to buy a Dell replacement.

Cons: Cables were so long it was somewhat difficult managing wire placement, but being long enough almost offsets this. It would have been much more difficult had there been two hard drives instead of just one.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect in my HP Slimline s5360f

Pros: Great price for an easy plug and play replacement. Nice upgrade from the OEM 220W (504966) supply that fried itself - think heat and smoke. Machine running fairly quietly, and P/S cooling fan output is barely warm to the touch. In other words this supply runs much cooler than the OEM as it is less taxed.

Cons: Not really a con, but this supply has more outputs than the OEM so I had to do some careful routing and bundling of the extra wiring.

Other Thoughts: Of course great shipping and service from New Egg.

5 out of 5 eggsDell Vostro 220S

Pros: This power supply directly replaces the original Bestec 250W power supply (TFX0250D5WB) in the Vostro 220S. We got it in conjunction with a "GIGABYTE GV-N430OC-1GL GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card" so our Office Manager could have dual-monitors. I am pleased to have a direct drop in replacement for the original power supply that has more power connections than I need (It even has the old style four pin power). The quality, fit, and finish seem professional as well.

Cons: I can't think of anything just after initial setup. Everything worked perfectly the first time. If something goes horribly wrong, then I'll post a new review.

Other Thoughts: This PSU plus an aftermarket video card compared in cost to a X1300 graphics card that Dell sells for this unit, but the GT430 is at least seven tiers higher up the hierarchy, according to Tom's Hardware.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU; Difficult Installation on Inspiron 530s

Pros: Quiet, and seems like more than enough to power my Inspiron 530s and its new Radeon HD 6570 GPU that I installed.

Cons: This isn't the fault of the PSU, I realize, but in an Inspiron 530s, you must remove the CD drive, AND any network cards, just to remove the old PSU without destroying your mobo. AND disconnect essentially ALL wires in the comp, even those NOT related to the PSU (whose cords, as mentioned by others, are almost too long).

Dell's official instructions about replacing a PSU don't quite cover all the steps you need to take to install these things, so be patient.

Other Thoughts: As far as I know, this is the highest watt PSU my 530s can handle. I certainly recommend, but get ready to gut your computer if you own (sadly, enough) a slim case like me.

Pros: Works like its suppose to. No issues, plenty of connections.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a SeaSonic

Pros: - Quiet
- 80 PLUS BRONZE
- 4 SATA power connectors (though I only use just one)
- 3 year (or 5 on the details page?) warranty (still better than 1)
- It's a SeaSonic

Cons: Smaller cases might have a hard time with the excess cabling. I managed to wrap it up and stow it in an empty corner of the case.

Other Thoughts: The PSU on the Foxconn R10 barebones burned out after 12 months of use so I got this as a replacement. It is used as 24/7 media server and HTPC duty. It's been performing wonderfully ever since.

I never noticed it didn't come with power cord as I used the same plug that came with the computer.

Should this PSU die (heaven forbid), I will post a follow up review.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect PSU for your Slimline Power Needs!

Pros: Excellent replacement for many TFX, or other slimline PC cases, esp. in my customer's Dell Inspiron 531s.

Fit in perfectly, and as an added bonus, ships with an extra 50 Watts max power, as the OEM one in the Dell was only 250W max.

Has plenty of connector options, which also reach well within your case, including 4 SATA (2 reach your HDDs and 2 reach your optical drives), 2 MOLEX + 1 floppy, and 24-pin & 4-pin 12V cpu connectors.

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: Error in description as of today's date: the page says there's only 2 SATA connectors but my PSU came with 4 connectors (2 strands of 2 ea.).

5 out of 5 eggsThis is the one

Pros: Fits a Dell 530S like a glove

Cons: None that I can see

Other Thoughts: Not only does it fit the Dell 530S like a glove, it's a more powerful supply. So it's like an upgrade. Yes, I found the 'exact' OEM supply elsewhere--for more money than this one, I might add--but why would you get the same known-to-fail-too-soon supply when you can get this one? Sure this one has backward compatible extra wires, but who cares? You just band them up out of the way.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PS

Pros: Fit HP Pavillion 5310 Slimline like it was made for it. Extra power plugs if needed. Cables plenty long, a couple tie wraps to make it neat. Very quiet so far. Took about 20 minutes start to finish to install, reused all stock hardware.

Cons: Maybe I am the exception, but I was surprised there was no AC power cord. The OE cord fit perfectly so it really wasn't a hardship on this install. Might be a con if you didn't have a cord and were expecting one.

Other Thoughts: Initial impression very positive, time will tell on longterm reliability.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent replacement for Dell Vostro 200 Slim

Pros: Went looking for a replacement PS when the original Bestec wouldn't boot the Dell. Fairly easy replacement, though I did have to remove all the drives to re-run the cables. Current build has a replacement 2Tb Seagate plus an Nvidia GT430 half-height added in - no problem with capacity. An added bonus was idle power usage went down about 20% from the Bestec!

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Very quiet, stable PS, plus it is a direct replacement in a Dell Vostro 200 Slim case

5 out of 5 eggsNice OEM Replacement

Pros: Runs quiet
Name-brand PSU
Plenty of cables (more length than some may even need)
Slips into many small form-factor OEM solutions including the HEC 7K09BBA30FNRX Micro ATX Media Center HTPC case. Bumped up the wattage by 50W over the (at the time) stock 250W HEC PSU.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: As others have mentioned, the cables are longer than necessary for HTPC use, but was able to zip tie the unneeded cable and cram it into a corner without issue.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: I've had this PSU for about 2 months now, and I have to say that it is by far the best PSU I've found to date. I originally bought it for an HP s5-1014 Slimline, but it didn't quite fit in the case, so I made a few adjustments to the case, just to add this piece, and I wasn't disappointed. I can see an overall performance gain in most tasks/programs/etc, since before the 200w PSU that came with the slimline was barely hanging on after I had added a GPU and more ram.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend this PSU to anyone, even if it means fussing with the tiny slimline cases.

5 out of 5 eggsReplacement HP Slimline Power Supply

Pros: Identical case size and mounting screw placement as OEM supply in my HP Pavilion Slimline S5560F PC. Perfect fit.

Came with more connectors than OEM, 3 12v cable bundles. 2 w 2 connectors per of the 'new school' SATA supply and 1 cable set with 2 of the old school MOLEX style.
The length was just right for my small case, not too long. A bit longer than OEM.

Standard ATX power connector fit perfectly onthe main board in my HP. Some I understand need a main board adapter, so be sure to check if yours is the mini style.
The OEM supply that died after 2 years six months of use was rated at 16 amps at 12vdc and 15amps at 5vdc.
Replacement is a tad higher at 18amps 12VDC and 20 at 5vdc.
Seasonic name. A plus
It works fine with the new MSI R6570 Radeon HD 6570 I bought at the same time. Figured I'd upgrade the video card at the same time for this media station and now it might handle light games too.

Cons: None I can see.

Other Thoughts: If your installing this in the same machine or similar be wary
of the on-board WIFI chip-set that is on the main board under the power supply. There is a TINY wire that has a TINY coax connector
you can accidentally pull loose. That is the antenna. It takes a good
pair of eyes and some tweezer action to get it back on.

I only had this one day, can't comment on reliability. It works.
It is Seasonic. I trust them over the total no names by far.
I did some time researching on the net here and there and MOST supplies of this sort LIE about the wattage. They say, 250 watts blah blah. That is rated INPUT wattage on cheap supplies. ALso, look at the AMP rated on the labels of these supplies as that is what matters. 12vdC amps and 5vdc amps in particular.
Ones on (Female Warrior Ecommerce Site) for similar price claimed 250 watts were actually at best 170 watt output if the labels were correct. Which is another matter.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent little Gem!

Pros: 2yrs old, and still strong. It's seen two different boards, an Athlon 5200+, and a Geforce 210. It never hiccups.

Cons: The price has come down quite a bit :S Which is good I guess :p

Other Thoughts: Bought in early 2010. It runs every day. Replaced the stock powersupply in a (hec Black 0.7mm Thickness SECC Steel 7K09BBA30FNRX) Hec HTPC case. That power supply ran fine for over a month. But we were hesitant to trust it. I recommended him go with the Seasonic. The horror stories for the stock one made us nervous. Seasonic is an excellent company.
Had to modify the case slightly to accommodate the PSU. The bubbled up area by the power supply wouldn't allow proper seating. Flattened it out, and perfect.
I'll hold onto stock PSU just in case, but I don't think the Seasonic is gonna quit anytime soon... Touch wood...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SFF PSU

Pros: Quiet, Seasonic build quality and reliablity, 80 plus bronze certified, fits like a glove in a Dell Inspiron 530s

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I used this to replace a failing PSU in a Dell Inspiron 530s for a client. The PC went from sounding like a jet turbine with the old PSU to being almost dead silent most of the time. This should also work in other OEM machines that use SFF PSUs. Seasonic makes some of the best power supplies money can buy, so this is definitely the way to go for a SFF PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PSU for small form factor computers!

Pros: This power supply went into a friend of a friend's computer, A Dell Inspiron 531 which had a fried power supply. Anyways one pro right off the bat is that the power connectors were somewhat longer than the supply that came out. The unit went in with no hassle whatsoever. Also, one extra SATA connector (4) vs 3 with the stock unit. Also has PFC. The unit is very quiet. Unit powered up just fine.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: If buildig a SFF computer or repairing a computer that hase one of these TFX supplies, I would definitely choose this supply. This is an OEM unit that comes wrapped in bubble wrap. No fancy box needed. Actually, I wish more OEM type supplies would come like this. I can see why this PSU gets 5 eggs. Thanks for reading.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect replacement PSU for Dell Slim Studio 540s

Pros: Fits perfectly in the Dell Studio Slim 540s. Quiet. As others have noted, the cables are long, but not terribly long.

NOTE: Unlike in the other reviews and in the product images, the version I received had FOUR (4) SATA power connections, not two, leaving one (1) extra 4-pin power connector and two (2) floppy power connectors. In case you want to power both your floppy drives.

A bit lower wattage than what I wanted from a replacement PSU (350W would be better, I think). But with this 300W PSU, I ran my machine hard for a couple days and no power issues with two hard drives, a DVD/R-W, a 3.5" card reader, 8GB RAM, power to a PCIe USB 3.0 adapter, and with a Radeon HD 4650 1GB PCIe x16 card.

A great replacement PSU.

Cons: Not really a con, but for the product I received, the product photos here were incorrect. As noted above, the PSU I received had four SATA power connectors. Not really a con, but it would be nice to know product images were accurate if the technical specifications are incomplete.

The two SATA connector lines are the same length. One is quite long given the PSU's proximity to the hard drives. The other is just long enough to reach the 5.25" and 3.5" bays (on the 540s). The 20-pin motherboard connector is definitely long (again, on the 540S), but I guess I'd rather it be too long than too short. Again, not really a con.

Other Thoughts: Dell Studio Slim 540S
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad 8200
Memory: Crucial 4 x 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 800
Graphics: VisionTek Radeon HD 4650 1GB DDR2 PCIe x16

Pros: Very quiet, I thought it was broken, could not hear it running , I had to put ear next to fan to hear it. Replacement ps for Dell 540s. Came with a split SATA power cable (nice).

Cons: No power cord, not a big deal since I had my old one from the old ps.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Upgrade For Dell 530S

Pros: I was wanting a decent graphics card for our VERY limited upgradeable Dell 530S so wanted & needed more juice than the standard 250W PSU was giving so I bought this 300W upgrade and so far so good.

The PSU is VERY quiet and was easy to install as well considering how little room there is to manoeuvre inside one of these computers. The PSU just slotted right inside the machine and fits perfectly.

Is a decent price for what you get and delivery on it only took a couple of days so Newegg was pretty quick in getting it out too.

Overall very happy with this purchase.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent TFX Power Supply

Pros: Fits perfectly in Dell Inspiron 530s desktop, replacing stock power supply. It is very quiet and produces much less heat than the stock power supply. Even under load the top fan that exhausts the CPU fan runs at a much lower revolution.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: My system had operated perfectly, but had stopped being able to come out of sleep without the fans going to full speed and getting stuck (CPU would never initialize, due to not enough power). Another strange thing is the hard drive had been forced into low power mode for a couple of months it seems, it was back at full speed after the replacement.

Pros: Great price (caught it on sale), active PFC and 80-Plus certification, more power than a stock PSU.

Cons: None to speak of.

Other Thoughts: Got this to replace the included 200W PSU in a mini-ITX case.
Powered up the first time with no problems. The cooling fan is practically silent!
Powering a mini-ITX system with a Core 2 E4500 that will most likely be an HTPC.
Quality is leaps and bounds above the standard comes-with-the-case PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsAll's well that ends well.

Pros: - Slammed it into my HTPC, plugged everything in, worked like a charm.

Cons: - 300W seems a bit underpowered for a hardware out there today, however seeing as this was higher than what was already in my machine that had broken, it was worth a shot.

Other Thoughts: Brought my machine back to life, just as I was hoping. All's well that ends well!

5 out of 5 eggsWorked great

Pros: Installed easily into my old Dell Studio 540s and works like a charm. Its even better than the original. One nice minor detail that I like is that it supports 110 and 220 volts without flipping a switch on the back of the power supply.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in HP Slimline

Pros: Fits in place of other TFX12V PSUs, a small form factor PSU that actually adheres to standards!
Plenty of connectors for SFF PCs.

Cons: Nothing so far.

Other Thoughts: Used to replace a failed model PC8046 powersupply(HP part number 504966-001) in an HP Slimline S5000. This Seasonic will easily replace the stock unit, with the added benefits of 80+ Bronze, Active PFC and all the other modern features the cheap HP part didn't have.
