4 out of 5 eggsLots of connectors, but it is not quiet

Pros: It has lots of connectors and only one rail which I like.

Cons: The fan runs on high all the time. Sometimes it slows down, but not very often. It is not quite, the PSU does everything else it says it does so I only knocked off one egg.

Other Thoughts: I'm thinking of changing out the fan with another adjustable one I already have like someone posted here.

2 out of 5 eggsLasted almost 6 months

Pros: Was ok while it worked. not too loud.

Cons: Didn't last very long.

Other Thoughts: Hadn't played a game in a couple months, then loaded BF4, got through part of a mission and the PC shut down. Then I heard a capacitor pop after it shut down, knew it was the power supply. Now I can't run my main rig cause I need the pci-e power connectors. This really sucks.

The Coolmax site does not have a warranty page, so I amwaiting for a response as I write this. Hopefully I won't have to pay more shipping than the price of the PSU ... lol.

5 out of 5 eggscoolmax

Pros: does what it needs to do and has plenty of molex extension which is what i needed. and its and its capable of crossfire really good and reliable for its price. the air the fan on it blows is all cold never gets hot.

Cons: it shows a chart on it saying the fan goes up and down but i never notice any sound difference from it. the fan always runs unless its in sleep mode. the noise isn't loud and if u put on a headset or play music u will not hear it.

Other Thoughts: if u need a power supply for 2 way crossfire x or 2 way sli your all set and theres plenty of molex.

* warning * never open a power supply without being certified. electric energy remains stored in a power supply and can be deadly if you don't know how to discharge the power left in it.

4 out of 5 eggsThat's One Big Power Supply!

Pros: It had all the connections I needed.

Cons: It's a bigger size than I thought it was and it didn't fit in my older case.

1 out of 5 eggsExploded after 10 month

Pros: Got it at a good price, initially worked

Cons: Bought this in November 2012, put it into a file server machine (dual core, 4GB RAM, onboard video, 4 HD). Loud bang last week and machine goes down. Seems like a capacitor in the PSU exploded.

Other Thoughts: This is the shortest lived PSU I have ever purchased (and I have purchased a lot)

5 out of 5 eggsSolid value

Pros: Power supply is more than adequate for a mid-range build. Cables are a good size. Unit runs cool and quietly.
I am very happy with the purchase.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Company pays rebate in a timely manner ( does not use clearing house).

5 out of 5 eggsdid the job

Pros: had what i needed works well

Cons: wire loom, but its ok ziptie here bread tie there and not stiff so easy to get around stuff.

Other Thoughts: got this with a asrock n68c-gs fx board that will use old and new devices ide/sata drives and comes with the hookups that are needed to do that and 500w should do the job nicely. noise to me seems avarage. so far so good.
