4 out of 5 eggsWow

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: It was cheap.
It is big in terms of watt, that's why it's perfect for a gaming rig.
The cable can be removed.

Cons: None.

4 out of 5 eggsReliable for 1.5years

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: This PSU was reliable for 1.5 years. I ran it in a bitcoin mining run running at about 700 watts for the last 3 months of its life. Woke up one morning to the miner being off. Started it up and walked away. About 20 minutes later i came back and it was throwing sparks out the top but the PC was still running. Overall im still happy with it . Although it was being run under its max of 750w continuous and failed. It was reliable and got the job done. Not to mention it has a 5 year warranty and the replacement is on the way

Cons: I wouldnt run this near peak for prolonged periods. Such as a mining rig. But for a good desktop pc with dual gpus it would be a perfect fit

Other Thoughts: Great customer service and 5 year warranty. Ill be replacing it with another OCZ

4 out of 5 eggscheap (expected)

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: Cheap, slim usb, nice extra buttons

Cons: I ordered 2 but one came broken. the right mouse button doesn't work. It was cheap enough that it doesn't really matter, but still kind of stinks.

Other Thoughts: After taking it apart, it looks like the micro switch is fine and the solder looks good, so it must be a problem with the circuit board.

4 out of 5 eggsLOUD!!!!

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: -Fully modular
-Works with no problem
-Rebate process was easy and approved immediately

Cons: -Taking off an egg because this thing is loud at idle and at load. It uses a 140mm Yate Loon fan (model #D14BH-12). Look up reviews for that fan and you'll see how loud it is.

Do not get this PSU if you don't have sound proofing on your computer case; the fan sounds like an airplane turbine even at idle. However, if you have a case like the Fractal R4 and keep your computer on the floor, this psu will be almost silent. You will still hear the movement of air but the high pitch whirring noise will be gone.

4 out of 5 eggsClicking Sound

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: The cables are flat and allow for easier cable management. Some people complain that some cables are black and some are grey but all mine are grey. The main power cable and the CPU +12VDc are sleeved black and are not flat like the rest are but I would have expected that. The fact that the rest are flat makes it much more appealing because I like hiding my cabling. The power is clean and comes in at 746W which is close enough to 750W. Some review claim the fan is loud but mine is not even noticeable at 19dBA at full load pulling 532W.

Cons: I am getting a clicking sound. It is a constant noise coming from the internals of the PSU. I haven't traced it yet but I have never heard this sound coming from a PSU before. Before anyone comments, NOTE: This is not a fan noise. This is an electrical noise.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: Ran great, never had an issue with it till now.

Cons: This was quiet for about a week after I got it. There was a bit of plastic in between the power caps and the side of the PSU that was catching on the fan. Removed the shield haven't had any problems, doesn't get very hot and finally was super quiet again. Shouldn't have had to do this! poorly secured. Works great otherwise and it sounds like the problem has been resolved.

Other Thoughts: Good PSU bad securing of plastic tab in the inside.

4 out of 5 eggsGood PSU

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: 100% modular
Break-away connectors
Heavy, sturdy cables
Looks beautiful
Low cost vs. power+features+quality

Cons: Under system load the fan will go high speed and be quite loud, will not slow down to regular speed for several hours after idling.
Never received $20 rebate, everything confirmed, ocz rebate website still shows payment as "processing" 14 months later...

Other Thoughts: Previous build: c2d e6600, 4gb ddr2, two 8800GTs, two HDDs.
Current build: i3-3220, 8gb ddr3, GTX 650 Ti, SSD, two HDDs.
I know, 750W is overkill for current build. :P Will upgrade CPU and/or SLI another GPU in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsworks accordingly

This review is from: FirePower ZT Series 750W 80Plus Bronze Fully-Modular High Performance ATX PC Power Supply ZT750W, formerly PC Power & Cooling

Pros: fully modular
really cheap because of the sales
750 watt is pretty much all you need
the cables are decent length

Cons: none really

Other Thoughts: the cables are pretty much perfect fit for a mid tower case, so if you have full tower you would need extensions
