1 out of 5 eggsWish it worked as good as it looks

Pros: Looks great, black and red cabling went with the look of my case.

Cons: Does not work...I wish I read more reviews before buying...

Manufacturer Response:

Hey Bjorn,
Sorry to hear the PSU isn't working! Could you let us know how your product might not be working? 1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - 80 Plus Gold
- Modular
- Nice packaging
- Long braided Cables

Cons: - Very long power supply
- Fan became extremely loud

Other Thoughts: After 1 month I happened to pick up and move the computer and on the next start up the PSU fan started to make an insanely loud clacking/clicking noise and it will not stop. I took the PSU out and changed its orientation and it seems to quiet the noise slighty. A terrible, cheap or defective fan is used in this PSU....AVOID.

Manufacturer Response:

Valued Newegg Customer,

1 out of 5 eggsIntolerable fan noise led to catastrophic fan failure

Pros: - Modular
- Nice packaging

Cons: - The fan is built incredibly cheaply. After a week of owning this product, I noticed a strange gurggling sound coming from my newly built PC. I was able to narrow it down to my PSU. The noise came and went but it recently became almost deafening to the point where the fan blades end up breaking off. What shoddy workmanship for a "Gold Certified" product!

Other Thoughts: I probably got unlucky, since everywhere else I look I see EVGA recommended as a solid company. And in all my years of PC building I never heard of a PSU fan - or any PC fan for that matter - spinning itself to an early death. But first impressions count and I am severely disappointed with my first EVGA product. I understand components fail and even sometimes arrive DoA, but this is by and far the worst quality I've ever seen in a computer component.

Even if EVGA replaces this at no cost, I'm not happy being stuck with what I perceive as a low quality product.

Manufacturer Response:

Valued Newegg Customer,

We’re sorry that you’re having issues with the fan on the EVGA 750G.

Please give us a call at 1-888-881-EVGA (3842)or e-mail us at support@evga.com, as we can assist you with setting up an RMA if you have not already done so.

1 out of 5 eggsclicking noise 1 hour after

Pros: - "gold" efficiency

Cons: - Price
- SATA connectors to my HDD/SD don't clip on as smooth as other PSUs I've used
- Fan clicking noise after 1 hour

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this PSU... Worst decision ever. Coming from long time use of Corsair HX series... This PSU was the first PSU to have problems out of the box...

PSU (I assume Fan) started having clicking noise after 1 hour of turning computer on.. I thought my HDDs were failing until I put my ear near the PSU and realized it was the PSU... wasted 1 hour to neatly route the PSU cables and zip tie it to my case to figure it's bad... I don't have the time and refuse to pay shipping to repair a defected/poor quality product with less than 1 hour of use!

Other Notes: The noise is especially noticeable if:
a) the PSU is fan face down configuration
b) my computer case is leaning forward at 1 degree angle (not on perfect flat surface).

the only PSU to have this problem...

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsvery loud fan

Pros: all modular, gold rated efficiency

Cons: Very loud fan even under minimal load. This was for a HTPC and the PS fan is by far the loudest component. I am now stuck with a brand-new PS that I cannot use the way it is running right now. As return shipping costs too much, I have to open it up, buy a new fan and install it. Waste of time and money. Very disappointed.

Other Thoughts: It is prohibitively expensive to ship something as heavy as a power supply back if it is not working the way it should. While other stores (headquartered in Washington State) will cross-ship for free, with newegg I have to pay for return shipping. Again, very disappointed.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsDidn't work on Gigabyte mobo

Pros: Nice packaging and the cables are sleeved well. Overall good build quality.

Cons: It didn't work on my Gigabyte G87X-UD4H motherboard. Very very disappointing since the Corsair one I bought worked perfectly fine. Bought a relatively high end PSU and it was very very annoying to have to keep trying to troubleshoot when in the end the issue was just that its incompatible with the mobo since the PSU seemed to work alright when I tested it. They should definitely issue a huge disclaimer. Made me waste ridiculous amounts of time trying to figure out what the issue was.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I do apologize with the issue you have experienced with your EVGA 750G Power Supply. We have been working with all vendors to swap the effected units.

Depending on the time of purchase, I can confirm all effected units have been swapped out for this issue at this time.

I am happy to offer a free cross-shipment to you and anyone else that has a compatibility issue with this unit.

Please contact me for a solution directly,

1 out of 5 eggsNo Power

Pros: None so far. The unit never came on

Cons: Bought unit a little over month ago. Finally got all the parts for my build and turned unit on and it does absolutely nothing but sit there. It never came on. No fan running or nothing. Just won't turn on.

Other Thoughts: Totally frustrated. I went with the Newegg reviews and can't even fire up my new build.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I apologize for the issues with your EVGA 750G PSU.

I would like to offer you a complementary cross-shipment to help expedite a tested replacement out to you.

Please contact me directly so I can assist you.

1 out of 5 eggsThis PSU is terrible

Pros: Nothing

Cons: I have purchased two of these worthless things to build a couple of computers for some friends. Neither PSU works with any motherboard. I purchased two more different PSU and they work perfectly. DO NOT BUY THIS PSU!

Manufacturer Response:

I apologize for the issues with the EVGA 750G PSUs you recently purchased.

Based on your comments, if you still have the EVGA PSU or have even returned them back already, I would like to hear your story in more details if you have a chance.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU But No Gigabyte

Pros: This power supply is fantastic, just as long as you do not use a Gigabyte motherboard.

Cons: I even called EVGA before I bought this and they said all the issues were worked out, well there not. I got this on sale here at Newegg for only $100 with a $20 rebate, so I will use it in another build. The only reason for a single egg is to help warn others, it is true, they do not work with Gigabyte motherboards.

Other Thoughts: I am using a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-D3H motherboard, I plugged in an old Thermaltake 600W PSU and it powered right up. Also, I did do the paperclip bypass to make sure the EVGA PSU was good and it is. When I finish my next build I will use this unit and come back and give it 5 eggs at that time.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I personally would like to apologizes for the inconvenience with the 750W EVGA PSU you purchased to use with your Gigabyte motherboard.

EVGA has a solution and I am happy to offer you a free cross-shipment to resolve.

Please contact me directly if you would like to replace it today so it is ready for your next project as you mentioned.

Thank you,
