They are also really light in weight compared to alkaline. Cons: Price. These are just way to expensive compared to alkaline. The only reasonable purpose I've thought of is maybe ultralight hiking where you're counting oz's. But then, my metal Maglite wouldn't be making the cut there. I guess its just never been that big of a deal to carry an extra set of batteries. I've also noticed these smell after their in use for a few minutes. Bit odd.
