5 out of 5 eggs820++

Pros: Awesome for the price, this CPU overclocked to 3.640 GHz first boot and stable, L3 cache unlocked to 6Mb easily, and got the north bridge to 2600 although I wanted it closer to 2800 not much you can do with a low multiplier.

Cons: No 2800MHz on the north bridge but I can live with it for the price.

Other Thoughts: This is a great price for the power considering you have the motherboard capable of unlocking the L3 cache and overclocking. Runs right with the 970 now that is overclocked minus the north bridge speeds.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: For my board this was the fastest processor that it could handle. Pretty quick runs cool, 36C idle 41C under 90% load.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: for a 95w processor you can OC it to 3.3ghz and still run cool.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth the price

Pros: runs pretty cool for being comparable to the 65nm intel Q6000 series cpus

Motherboard unlocked 2mb of extra cache so is 6mb of L3cache now.

Cons: cheaper by $6 then when i bought it lol

5 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: I always wanted a quad core with 6mb L2 cache for 100 bucks.. I managed to unlock mine with no problems. Overclocked to 3.5 stable.

Cons: It's aleady pretty old... but man... It still rules!

Other Thoughts: I went from a 620 Propus to this... I gave the propus to my brother...

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Cheap for a quad core phenom, upgraded from an athlon ii x4 620. Not a real noticeable difference yet, but this is for a video encoding box and I haven't started encoding with it yet. Just installed Win7 yesterday with no problems. No bent pins! Was on sale for cheaper than the athlon quad.

Cons: It doesn't make me breakfast?

Other Thoughts: Can't complain, AMD has always given me the best price/performance.

5 out of 5 eggsAn Amazing Value

Pros: The chip out of the box will be a huge difference to those who haven't experienced quad-core processing.

HOWEVER, the chip REALLY comes to life when overclocked.

Stock is 2.8 GHz --> Overclocked to 3.5 GHz

Idles at 33 C and will not pass 43 C under full load. Receives a 7.4 in Windows Experience Index.

This chip can operate at temps up to 72 C. This performance makes me want to to slap on my Corsair H50 and try to bump it up past 4 GHz.

Cons: It's a shame other things such as my hard drive, wireless card, power supply, and monitor don't overclock this well.

Other Thoughts: Paired with a COOLER MASTER Hyper TX3 Cooler (highly recommended) which comes more than enough thermal paste for this job, and others.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: It's ability to overclock with a cheap socket 939 cooler. It's running @ 3.18GHZ and under a full load peaks at 59c. For how cheap this CPU is, I was expecting less, but it gave me more than enough power, Crysis 2 demo is nothing for this processor.

Cons: Nothing bad about this processor yet.

Other Thoughts: I originally planned on getting the x6, but this was more affordable and it handles anything I throw at it!
