5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value!

Pros: Install was simple and the cost was reasonable.
I installed this in a Gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3 board with 8 Gb RAM and Windows 8. The CPU worked flawlessly. Also unlocked the 4th core and ran CPU-Z which reports it as a Phenom II X4 B50 (Deneb). Lucked out there.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Runs cool - generally around 34C to 40C.

5 out of 5 eggsInexpensive "Home Use" CPU

Pros: Inexpensive; Typical AMD reliability; Runs very cool; Good option for "light" gaming, as most games aren't coded to use more than 1 or 2 CPU cores.

Cons: None, really.

Other Thoughts: Was purchased to go with an M5A series Asus board to replace a DOA Dell i7 x8. So far runs better, far cooler, and no hassles using the AMD HD vid card.

5 out of 5 eggsThe best possible cheap chip you can buy, period....

Pros: Runs extremely cool (~20-27c idle on the stock cooler) when run with 3 cores
Can be unlocked to quad core (my friends and I have all since agreed it isn't worth the +15c increase, and the 3 cores are absolutely plenty)
Extremely cheap
Reliable
YOU CAN GAME WITH THIS CHIP - with an asrock extreme4, and an evga 650ti boost sc, my friend gets 55fps in bioshock infinite on cranked settings - with this chip!
4 of my friends and myself run this chip (mine in my htpc) - and none of us have had a single problem gaming, and would recommend this chip 10 fold.

Cons: None to be honest

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as Advertised and Then Some!

Pros: Tried and proven. Easy upgrade for an older AMD 780 based motherboard. For gaming purposes I prefer the higher Gz speeds over core count. It produces less heat and cores don't sit idle.
This one overclocked to 3.6 easily by moving the fsb to 225 and is 100% stable with all three cores at full throttle. Skyrim runs all three cores at 95% and temps stay below 60c on stock cooling. I had no intention of unlocking the fourth core due the increase in power requirement and uncertain stability so I can't comment on that. I certainly wouldn't build a new system around it but it works great for an aging gaming rig. No complaints at all and well worth the coin for breathing new life into an aging system.

Cons: Clock for clock not as fast as Intel but the price and convenience was right. It doesn't reach parity with my ATI 7870. It just can't crunch enough to maximize the 7870's potential. A lesser video card would make more financial sense. I'm not so sure I could max out my video card with this processor in a game even like BF3 or the like. So it's kind of at the end of the road once your games require more than a ATI 7850 / Nvidia 650 or similar. If games are your thing.

Other Thoughts: I reused the heat-sink from my older Athlon processor because it was a little beefier than the one supplied with this one. I'm guessing AMD figured with the newer C3 stepping it didn't need the beefier one that came with the older chips. I'll keep it around just in case the fan goes south on this older on.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome CPU

Pros: Good price
fast

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I originally wanted to to the quad core phenom, but i was too poor:( I've had this CPU about a year now, and it has been awesome. I'm not a hard core gamer, but I do play some video games, and I have never had a problem. All my games have played well with the only thing holding them back is my video card. I have even thrown some video encoding at it, and it got the job done. It didn't exactly "rip" through the process, but it did it in a few minutes.
