4 out of 5 eggsdecent but for the price?

Pros: fairly bright, reasonably sturdy, and easy to use.

Cons: uses 'throw away' batteries, so not enviornmentally friendly.
5mm 'bluehaze' leds
could be made sturdier.
price (for $1 more you can have an XM-L powered BEAST with rechargeable battery.

Other Thoughts: this would be a good light for kids, as I shudder at the thought of someone toying with one of the powerful xm-l headlamps available (fried retinas anyone?) . this light is plenty bright for getting around, or a child playing at camp, but won't blind you like an xm-l unfortunately that also means it isn't really bright enough for serious hiking, spelunking, or hunting.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This has been great. I have used this when working in the attic. It keeps my hands free to do wiring and pulling of cables.

Cons: none

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Nicely packaged

Cons: I purchased these for the grandkids. I decided to open one and see if I like it well enough to buy for myself. The product looks and feels very cheapely made. I put batteries in and tried to turn it on. As long as I held the on button just right, I could keep the light on. Let go and it goes off. I could not get the multiple modes to work. The only function is to hold the button and it comes on with 3 LED's. Let go and it goes off. That will NOT work for a headlamp.

Other Thoughts: Purchase price low enough that it is not worth the cost and effort of sending back

5 out of 5 eggsheadlamp 3 pack

Pros: Bright, fits my head, takes batteries instead of re-charging

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: have another one that has rechargeable batteries, which are never charged when I need to use it. Like the idea of just putting in batteries if I need to.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good quality unit. I got several on sale to have handy for 'emergency' use. Headlights are just very useful to have around. I will use this when I build my next PC - am pushing 70 and a bright light where you need it is a good thing.:)

Cons: As a few others have mentioned the tilt adjustment is very coarse - like 90 degrees ahead, then 45 degrees down etc..., with nothing in between.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat deal on a useful headlamp

Pros: Fits snug, shines bright, price is right. Easy controls, click and change mode. Keep clicking until it goes off to store.

Cons: No batteries but I really didn't expect any.

Other Thoughts: I bought one of these lights from a major outfitter years ago and I use it often. These were much, much cheaper and work just as well. I bought them to give to my grandkids to play with but I am saving some for me.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat price, but batteries not included.

Pros: Great Price, flexible/comfortable mounting with multiple LED output options.

Cons: Even though packages says 3x AAA batteries included, they are not. Craftsmanship quality feels a bit cheap.
