3 out of 5 eggsDecent for beginners

Pros: It does what it's supposed to for the basic tablet that it is.

Good for checking internet, web browsing, and sometimes even Skype, if the frequency of my aunt using it on her tablet is any indication.

Cons: It is a slow tablet, but it's good for beginners like my aunt and a friend of mine who have knowledge enough to check their emails and browse the net.

The touchscreen for the keyboard is wonky, as the far left and right sides keys frequently need re-tapping in order for the system to register input. For the keyboard's right side, exiting the keyboard as you're trying to type an email, or type in the wi-fi password happens in annoyingly frequent amounts as well.

1 out of 5 eggsMalware breaks the deal

Pros: It was seemingly fine for a few months -- just long enough to buy another Kocaso for my other son.

Cons: This is really a hole with no bottom. Loading apps is a nightmare, and getting them to play nice with the OS is even worse. I've installed Aldiko multiple times, most recently last night for Christmas morning, and the app will report a successful install, but the resulting shortcut reports that the app wasn't ever installed.

It's frustration after frustration, and I'm now convinced after buying two Kocaso tablets that the brand is so cheap simply because the preinstalled apps are actually intended to siphon user data.

I use a 2013 Nexus 7 -- I knew going into that purchase that Google is an advertising company and thus relies on demographics to make money. This is an entirely different story, though ... pretending to sell a useful device that actually has an expiration date is hardly aboveboard.

Other Thoughts: This device downloads apps on its own, and said apps are not the sorts you want to have. As with my review of the other Kocaso tablet we bought, this is a huge buyer-beware. Or, it's simply the vendor trying to steal data. Either way, avoid at all costs.

1 out of 5 eggsNo

Pros: Looks nice... other than that it came on time.

Cons: It doesn't work. Came DOA, didn't know about it since I bought it as a gift for my wife a month before her birthday. Come to find out upon turning it on that the screen boots up and shows bands of different gray colors (aka screen of death). Basically the small cord that connects the display to the chipset is bad. Upon opening it, which didn't void the warranty because it had been too long, I found that the cord had been almost completely severed.

So I got a new cord, for free thankfully, from my friend. Upon replacing the cord the device booted up... BUT HAD NO OS. So either this device was stolen/refurbished incorrectly, or they are purposefully shipping bad devices. Don't care to get a replacement, already over it, got a Kindle in stead.

1 out of 5 eggsWill not buy another... ever.

Pros: Price

Cons: Very slow navigating Internet. Freezes and constantly have to reboot. Very slow downloading apps. Touch screen slow or unresponsive. Died after 9 months.

Other Thoughts: I will spend $30 to $50 more for a better brand. Warranty states 1 year. I will find out if I could return and get a replacement. I will also write another review about my experience in trying to return this item to Kocaso if I ever get a replacement.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy this trash.

Pros: It worked well for 2 months....

Cons: First off it ran very slow, basic web browing took a very long time to load pages.
After only 2 months it came to a point where when you turn it on all you get is the Android loading screen and then nothing.
It does not hang up it just stays at that screen with the logo in animation.

Other Thoughts: There are other options for 100 bucks that are better than this.
I will stay away from this brand for ever now.

1 out of 5 eggsJunk

I've had the tablet for 2 months and the wifi adapter failed causing the tablet to continuosly reboot. I am unable to get into the system settings to disable, every attempt also causes the tablet to reboot. The firmware for this model (M762b) is not available on Kocaso website so there is no way to attempt a system reflash.

Other Thoughts: JUNK...JUNK...JUNK

5 out of 5 eggsBEST TABLET FOR LESS THAN $100

Pros: 1 GB RAM
1.2 GHZ single core processor
8 GB hard-drive space
Micro SD slot to expand storage(I got a 16 GB)
Camera in the front
Google Play Store

Plays Angry Birds, Temple Run, Fruit Ninja, and every game I've put on it without any lag. I haven't used it much for music but watched a free video from the Google Play Store and it played it without any lag.

I mainly use the tablet for various E-reader applications. (Kindle app, Nook app, Desert Book app, Gospel Library app, etc) I used to have a Kindle Touch but I hated being limited to just the Kindle's books so it's nice to have a tablet that gives me access to any android E-reader app I want.

Cons: Can't multitask at all. Whenever I open a web browser or an app I close everything else. The tablet is pretty fast if you don't have a bunch of things open though.

2-3 hours of battery life

Free case that comes with the tablet doesn't fit at all. However since the case is free it doesn't matter.

Other Thoughts: This tablet is the same size as a Kindle Fire first generation, so if you want to get a case for it you'll want to look into the cases for the First generation Kindle Fire. HOWEVER, the buttons for the M762 are on the side so you have to be careful which case you get.

I got the "Belkin Verve Tab Folio for Kindle Fire, Black (does not fit Kindle Fire HD)" case from Wally World but I believe it's available on internet as well. With the case a lot of people mistake the M762 as a Kindle Fire or a Google Nexus.

Again, if a case fits the first generation Kindle Fire 7" it'll fit the M762 BUT the On/Off button on the M762 is on the side of the tablet so make sure you don't pick a case that will bump the buttons on the side.

I personally love this tablet and highly recommend it if you plan on using the tablet casually. I'm a college student so I read books with it on the bus, do casual web browsing(Facebook, Gmail, Twitter, etc), and play casual games(Angry Birds, Temple Run). If you plan on using a tablet very heavily it might be better to look into the Nexus 7, Nexus 10, Samsung Galaxy Note, Ipad mini, Ipad, Kindle Fire HD, Nook HD, or Nook HD+. However again I emphasize: this is the best tablet for less than $100(all the tablets I just mentioned are over $199) and for casual tablet use the M762 is amazing.

1 out of 5 eggsDead Unit

Pros: When it was working, the tablet was great, fairly fast, nice looking screen. Decent battery life.

Cons: Was working great for the first month of use. Set it on the charger for a few hours, went to turn it back on, and it just didn't. Still cannot power it on. Requesting replacement, if the 2nd one dies like the first will request a refund.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent tablet for a first-timer

Pros: - Good size for a casual user
- Better-than-average specs for a tablet in its price range
- Typically ships with a case included
- It's rooted & Android 4.0 so you can put pretty much anything you want on it!

Cons: - Screen resolution seems a bit too low for my tastes, so text and images don't appear as clear as you would expect from a high end tablet.
- Case included with the tablet is poor, almost like a cheap cardboard -- it's recommended to get your own, but free is free.

Other Thoughts: I bought this tablet as a gift for my father for his birthday. He used to have a laptop he enjoyed to use on the recliner until it broke, and he was forced to use the computer in his bedroom. I figured this tablet would be a suitable, and portable replacement for his laptop. He does basic tasks like check e-mail and browse auction sites. So far, both of us have been impressed with this tablet, and I'm an IT Professional that works around the latest tablets frequently. For the price range, this tablet cannot be beat and it's the perfect gift for an adult or teen looking to get their feet wet with a tablet. As I said in my con, if the resolution was a touch higher, this tablet would be perfect, but a lower resolution helps keep performance snappy across the tablet, so I can't knock it for that! Overall a good buy!

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing sub $100 Tablet

Pros: Price is right, solid and fast performance, good feel. This is an awesome tablet for under $100.00.

Cons: Some cons, but very minor and should not detract you from purchasing this tablet. 1) Screen can be a bit washed out in bright light. Fantastic otherwise. 2) the back of the tablet is fairly slippery, so watch your grip on this.

Other Thoughts: Honestly, you can not go wrong.
