5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Full Gb speed with the proper jumper.

Cons: No real cons.

Other Thoughts: Replaced an older 100Mbs adapter on my MacAir with this one for lab work. Comes with a mini-CD with drivers. I was a little surprised that I actually had to install a driver to make it work, but the drivers are also available from mfr as a download. Piece o'cake after that. Works as advertised. Just remember to use a CAT5E or CAT6 jumper to get the full Gb speed. CAT5 anywhere in the cable run downrates it to 100Mb.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great, unfortunate it's a bit large

Pros: Works with Debian 8 without any tweaking or driver issues, which made my new Ethernet-free laptop more usable. Performance is a bit hard to assess but certainly in the several hundreds of Mbps range which is entirely acceptable.

Cons: None except that it's a shame they don't have a version of this which is a simple dongle without the short USB cable. It's a bit unwieldy and dangles from the laptop as a result.
