This review is from: Nady SPF-1 Microphone Pop Filter with Boom & Stand Clamp Pros: Mostly metal construction Works to improve audio Cons: The goose neck is very loose. Mostly at the very base of the filter which makes it almost impossible to stand upright on its own. I have it currently attached to my rode mic boom arm so with it sitting in a droopy horizontal position its ok but even still it has to be held by a wire tie to prevent rocking and excessive drooping. If it was for a vertical straight set up it definitely could not hold itself up. Also the filter ring (or pop filter itself) is very large. It takes up about half of my face which can be annoying for video. Other Thoughts: With a little bit of tweaking I managed to make this pop filter set up ok but not exactly ideal for the money. Probably would have spent a little more money on one that would deffinetly hold itself up and look better Did you find this review helpful? Thanks for the valuable feedback you provided!

The ring is plastic but doesnt seem flimsy or cheap. I can see using this for a long time. Shipping in 2 days didnt hurt either :) Did you find this review helpful?
