3 out of 5 eggsGood so far

Pros: Its an SSD,fast, small form factor,3 year warranty

Cons: Have had it not show up during boot 2 times, reset and it reappears,I don't use sleep mode, hibernate or defrag (which win 7 should turn off)

Other Thoughts: It was overpriced when bought, but i thought it was time to give it a try since i have always ran raid 0 setups and didn't like the idea of always having 3 hds, 2 for raid, one for back up.I'm a gamer and have never had it crash during play, because of the ssd itself.I have done 3 firmware upgrades which seem to slightly improve performance and reliability. Overall good so far.

5 out of 5 eggsSSD THAT WORKS!

Pros: Almost two months using this on windows 8 doing a clean install. This is my first SSD and the speed is amazing. Once you have your first SSD you will never go back to an HHD.

Cons: its time for a 1TB that everyone can afford, I am using 256gb because it was a reasonable price.

Other Thoughts: For the person on the fence, now is the time to try an SSD.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Even though my motherboard is not SATAIII it is still a big difference from a standard HDD. I am only running 224 read and about 212 write but its still blazing fast, just ordered a new GIGABYTE MB, I cant wait untill it gets here to see what this baby really puts out on SATA III.

Cons: NONE YET, Hope it lasts

5 out of 5 eggsVery Enjoyable Drive

Pros: Hasn't died. Increased battery life. Sped up my netbook like crazy. Vibration resistant champion. Quiet (lol). Pretty much instant on time out of standby or hibernation.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I ride a motorcycle all over the place. I throw my netbook in my saddlebags and go. Used to always be worried about hard drive platter damage from all the crazy vibration it would have to go through on the road. When I decided to take a trip across the United States, I decided to upgrade to solid state and pretty much rule out vibration induced damage. Needless to say, this thing takes a pounding and keeps on humming. Even left my netbook on a few times, drove around for a few hours, and whipped it out only to find it happily chugging away at the desktop screen. lol. I love this solid state drive. I couldn't imagine what that would have done to a traditional hard drive. All my mobile computers will be SSD from now on. I've been using this one for almost an entire year now without a single problem. Crucial did nice.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Get One!

Pros: Easy Install, Fast Boot times, Good Size for the Price

Cons: I wish it was a little cheaper, but that's just greed on my part. I'm sure these will be a hundred dollars within a year.

Other Thoughts: I got this for my gaming PC. I just have the OS and a few games on the drive. Everything else is on a 500GB data drive. The PC now boots within 20 seconds of pushing the On button, recovers fast from sleep, and opens and closes games quite quickly. Makes me wonder what my system performance would be if everything was on SSD.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: Built a new computer with this as my main drive about 6 months ago. So far it has worked great and boot times are amazingly fast. Game loading times are fast too! Path of Exile loads maps so fast that the loading screen doesn't even have time to appear!

Cons: I had a Crucial M4 go bad on my office computer ; makes me slightly worried about this one. Hopefully it will last.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD for the price!

Pros: Installed Windows 7 and my pc booted up with no problems. Been running great for 2 months now. My pc starts up MUCH faster than is used from my old mechanical HD. Came with 3.5" adapter bracket.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Maximum PC rates this drive as "hitting the sweet spot". Not the fastest drive out there, but still plenty fast and the best bang for the buck per GB.

5 out of 5 eggsBlazingly fast

Pros: Ridiculously fast startup times. Transfer rates are unprecedentedly fast. Sequential read speed of 380MB/s, sequential write of 247MB/s. Utterly insane. Installed games load so fast that I can't read the 'load screen' tips and tricks that they put in to distract you from the load times. 256 GB is plenty of capacity for most users' needs for programs and such. Get a cheap, enormous hard drive for file storage (and less important programs) and you'll be fine.

Remember this is a laptop-sized drive physically, not the 3.5" desktop sized drive (like most SSDs), and this one comes with the bracket necessary to install it.

You will be a convert to SSDs once you try this. Everything is faster, even things you didn't know that the bottleneck was the HDD.

You even get a good amount of storage per dollar spent, when you factor in the ridiculous speed.

Packaging is excellent. These drives aren't prone to shock (dropping) damage anyway... but still.

Cons: None. You'll want another for your every computer you've got.

Other Thoughts: Ensure that you format them properly, there are tons of guides on how to ensure this happens right. It's pretty easy once you actually go through and do it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: Very fast, silent

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: There are statistically faster SSD drives on the market, but Crucial gets high marks from everyone on reliability which is paramount to me. Windows 7 installed in about 10 minutes and once I got used to the fact that there was not hard drive clicking as it installed, everything went very smoothly. I am very pleased. Win 7 64 from login to Windows load is approx 7 seconds

2 out of 5 eggsOS freezes and BSOD problems

Pros: - low power draw
- fast performance

Cons: - OS freezes and BSOD crashes after continued use (Win 7 64-bit)

Other Thoughts: Here are my benchmarks:
Crystal Diskmark (v3.0.2; 0Fill): Read: 491.1 MB/sec Write: 258.5 MB/sec

I have 2 M4 drives and both have been unreliable. I had them originally in PCs running 24x7 and they were working great up until about 6 months. Then I started getting OS freezes and BSODs. I reformatted the drives and am now only using them in external enclosures for non-critical file transfer applications. I do not recommend the M4 drives for mision-critical work or OS installations where 24x7 operation is needed.
