4 out of 5 eggsFast and Reiliable SSD

Pros: Fast. Improves boot time.

Cons: Doesn't show drive temperature in the SMART data.

Other Thoughts: I've used it in 2 different machines, one with SATA-2 and the other with SATA-3. Quick on both, but obviously MUCH faster on SATA-3. Read speeds are well over 500Mbps and write speeds at approx. half that. Boot times are awesome in Windows 7 and takes less than 5 seconds to boot Windows 8 on my Netbook (Intel N550 CPU). Boot times are dramatically improved and the overall use of the OS is much smoother. Breathes new life into slower machines, its amazing.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Cheap and small, only 7mm. Crucial is a name I trust

Cons: Not larger capacity

Other Thoughts: I would probably have bought another brand, but at the time this was the best. Also I've had issues with memory when I didn't use Crucial and thought they'd have some idea of what they were doing here. It runs but I see reviews for others that run faster, would like to see if there is a difference. However it's definitely best VALUE IMO.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent drive

Pros: Just installed Windows 7, drivers, and Steam on it. Incredibly fast, scored a 7.9 on WEI. Was not DOA, posted immediately. Just upgraded from a Seagate SATA 3.0 to this and I'm very impressed. My boot time has been more than cut in half. We'll see how it holds up over the next year but at the moment it gets 5 eggs.

Cons: Didn't come with a SATA cable. Also didn't make me lunch before installing Windows and all my programs by itself.

5 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Very inexpensive, especially on sale. i got mine for under 1$/GB. very good shipping (gotta love newegg). Speed is that of which you expect from an ssd, my boot times are sub 22 seconds (asus sabertooth bios screen takes forever). all in all, would reccomend for people who want a change from a HDD.

Cons: Not as fast as i was expecting, however no complaints. I am thoroughly satisfied.

Other Thoughts: First SSD i've ever tried. Next time i think i'll try out a samsung pro series. I am content with the read/write speeds though.

4 out of 5 eggsFast Fast Fast

Pros: This thing is very, very fast. I'm using it as a boot drive to house my OS and my most frequently played game; Battlefield 3.

Cons: As mentioned in someone else's review: Every so often on a boot, it will not show up at post and will result in a bootmgr error. It just started doing this after about a month of use, but the OS (win7) launches fine on reboot. I don't know if the drive is 'marking bad sectors' as someone else claimed, or if it's something else. The drive has a 3 year warranty, so I can always ask for an RMA if the problem gets worse.

Other Thoughts: This is my first SSD. I'm hoping that it is reliable and remains so fast in the years to come. Now if only HD's would drop back down in price, I could get a decent 2 TB model to pair with it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Used in new PC build. Fast, reliable, machine boots in around 12 seconds.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I've seen lots of topics about SSD slow down and longevity - we'll see how that goes. But so far, I'm extremely happy.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect for Lenovo x230

Pros: Great speed, fits slim devices like X230 perfectly. An improvement over the stock 7200 RPM drive with battery life increase to boot.

Cons: Works best with a complete reinstall. No possibility (at present time) to upgrade bios with UEFI system.

Other Thoughts: The best way to install this on a Windows 8 computer that has no serial number COA is to just get a installation disk for your OS. Using the installation disk, a clean install will give you the right configurations for an SSD. You will NOT have to enter a product activation code for computers that have it burned into the bios, like Thinkpad x230. After installation, download the Thinkpad System Update Tool, and let it do its work to automatically install all the required drivers and factory installed programs.

The cloning option will also work, but in many cases, the factory installed image will not be preserved, so there is little advantage to this.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat product!

Pros: Works great, what else can I say? Computer starts up a lot faster as far as day to day performance I think it's faster but it's hard to tell. I got it cause surfing the web is really slow on my 1.5ghz dual core laptop but the ssd didn't make any difference there must have more to do with cpu cause I maxed out the memory also.

Cons: can't really think of any

Other Thoughts: I like knowing when I bump the table or pick my laptop up or set it down the head isn't going to bump into the platter.
