1 out of 5 eggsTranscend 2GB Secure Digital (SD)

Pros: None

Cons: I am an IT professional with many certifications and a great deal of technical experience. New Egg has been very good in the past. However this has soured my experience with them.
First of all this SD card took a very long time to arrive. I almost contacted New Egg to see if it was lost somewhere in the mail. When it did arrive it was problematic from the start. It appeared to allow item to be copied to the card, but later on they would just vanish. Then after 2 week it just gave out and completely stopped working. I have used many other SD cards in the past all with positive experience, but I must advise others to stay away from Transcend as they are not dependable.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great in old(er) Digital Camera

Pros: Digital Camera easily recognized the card.
Formatted as FAT32 (4K clusters) without issue.
Didn't seem to drain batteries as fast as older SD cards.

Cons: Some pictures to a second or two to save. Could have been older camera or new SD card wasn't the fastest in the world.

Other Thoughts: Anecdotally, the camera batteries lasted longer with this card than with a previous 1 GB SD card (made by PQI).

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great in my older digital camera!

Pros: Great price. Can't find any SD cards smaller than 4GB in retail stores. Brought new life to my old digital camera.

Cons: The only con would be that I need to upgrade to a better camera at some point, but still works fine for the amount of pictures I take. Transcend media has always been reliable. I use their compact flash cards in my digital audio recorder, and have never had a single issue.

Other Thoughts: Satisfied customer once again. Thanks, Newegg! That's why I keep coming back to you guys!!! :-)

5 out of 5 eggsIt bangs

Pros: Small, SD, works with my cheap e-reader, stores music, photos, e-books

Cons: Not very high capacity but will do for my needs, old tech and therefore more pricey

Other Thoughts: Good thing I got one when I did as SD becomes more outdated the price on them will go up as stock gets smaller and they are no longer produced.

5 out of 5 eggsA must for older DSLR's

Pros: I bought 3 of these Transcend 2gb SD cards for an older Nikon D50 DSLR. 2gb SD cards are getting hard to find in stores these days. I turned to New Egg and sure enough they had a bunch of them at a good price. The Nikon D50 was made before SDHC cards became popular. As a result its only compatible with regular SD cards. The D50 is also limited to 2gb cards even though Nikon's own website will tell that a 1gb is the max for the D50. These 2gb cards work really well in the D50. The D50 is even able to format them quickly. They function just as they should. Over all I'd give these cards and New Egg ten stars if I could only because New Egg saved me from having to shell out hundreds for a new DSLR. The D50 has allot of features that newer entry level DSLR's don't have so that's why I've been using it for close to 6 years now. If you have an older digital camera don't pass these cards up. I've been using Transcend cards for a long time and never had an issue.

Cons: No cons. They work just fine. File sizes are small on my D50 so these cards can keep up no problem.

Other Thoughts: Buy these SD cards of you own a Nikon D50.
