Pros: Nothing.

Cons: Following my previous review, I gave it a rate of 1 because it truly sucks, and they won't replace it without sending it back, and who would send that back with lots of inofrmation on it?

After I posted this review, I got an email saying Transend would like to help. Guess what, I called back and they said there is nothing they can do! How rediculous!

It is standard return policy in consumer electronics for the customer to send a defective unit back to the manufacturer to be tested and if found to be defective, replaced, so long as the item is under warranty and meets the RMA requirements.

If you would like to have your drive replaced, please submit an RMA form through the Transcend-Info.com website and once we can confirm that your drive is defective at no fault to you, we'll replace it with a new drive and destroy the data on the old drive, either with a reinitialization/low level format (if the drive can be read), or by disassembling the drive and destroying the chip.

Pros: nothing in particular

Cons: Stopped working after three months. And they won't send replacement until I send them back the broken piece. But who will be responsible for the information on the broken piece. I can't erase the information. What if someone got hold it and got my bank account info. Will Transend be responsible for my loss? Will NEVER buy Transend again.

Pros: Large capacity. No cap.

Cons: I am a wedding Photographer/Videographer & needed to get 60GB of wedding photos & videos to a bride. This seemed to be the best way to get them a 'hard' copy for them to keep.

I started with new drive, did a quick format, Loaded 60Gb of data, checked it on a second computer (worked), then mailed in a padded envelope. Customer said it would not work; she tried on 4 computers.
Cost me time & money. Now I look bad. Not happy with drive.

Pros: Large capacity, low cost

Cons: Didn't last 3 months of very light use.

Other Thoughts: I usually do research before buying things, buy from reputable retailers, use carefully, take care of things carefully, etc., and my chance of getting a defective product is usually very low. But this USB flash drive lasted maybe 6 uses in 3 months of very light use. I didn't leave them on computers for long, I didn't write a massive amount of data, etc., but the drive is no longer recognized by a computer, despite the blinking blue LED. There are similar reports of the same problem on the internet. Beware.

Pros: Dollar per GB. USB 2.0

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: For moving lots of data, this is the way to go. Using this for a live distro works well. It a great alternative to an external hard drive for pretty much any practical data you need to take with you. Buy it!

Other Thoughts: This USB flash drive worked at first. I transferred about 40 gb of photos onto the flash drive and delivered it to my client. They tried to load the photos from several different computers and it said the files were corrupted. I got the flash drive back and in fact half of them were not even showing up. I re-formatted it and loaded them again. It seemed to work fine. Then I checked it a couple days later before shipping back out to them and now I can't even pull it up on my computer or 3 others in my house. It'll turn blue like it is getting power, then an icon will show up saying the device is ready to use, however, it will not show up under "Devices w/ removable storage" or anywhere else on my computer for that matter. Now it's passed return date and I can't return it. I would not recommend this flash drive.

Pros: So far so good, a bit on the slow side. Definately not as fast as advertised (hence the -2 eggs), but spacious

Cons: advertised speed should be more accurate

Pros: Using USB2.0 ports I get the speeds of 14.0 write and 28.7 read. Good size and design. Lifetime warranty!! For the price and read speeds a very good value for USB 2.0 drives. The JetFlash Elite software (you have to download) is interesting, personally I like the security features.

Cons: They are white, but of course I knew that. If my son uses them and does not get the greese off of his fingers, I have to clean-yp after him (he's 40). Waiting for Negegg to stock the 500 series 64GB drive (they are black).

Other Thoughts: Reliable Company and has some very interesting products available on their Web site that Newegg does not stock. Of course the manufactures web site is higher priced, but I have ordered some of the luxury USB drives and security drives (and am Very Happy with the products).
